Do the Bears win on Sunday? Regardless, I would think Bruce Arians will do an actual press conference after the game.

They will lose by 10. This is going to be a long season.

  2. Fro Dog Says:

Sadly, I think you’re right about the long season. I am praying for it to be the opposite (as I am sure we all are). This could take a few years to rebuild this franchise and that’s IF, Ryan Pace is the guy. It doesn’t appear to be the case so far.

Sorry to bring this up Fro…but I am going to go on record here and now regarding CBSS post in the previous thread where he ended by stating “Either way the “especially chucky” comment enabling him and throwing fuel on the fire was not needed or appreciated.”

Sorry he didn’t appreciate it, but in no way am I ENABLING anybody here. chucky made some points that I agreed with and that is all. Trust me, if I have a real problem with anything posted here – or anybody that is posting – that person and the rest of the readers will know. It was not my intention to “throw fuel on the fire” and/or personally attack anybody’s viewpoint. I posted: “I agree with much of what is being said here (especially chucky)…but not all.” There is no hidden message or insult.

AGREE, verb: have the same opinion about something; concur.
“I completely agree with your recent editorial”
synonyms: concur, be of the same mind/opinion, see eye to eye, be in sympathy, be united, be as one man “I agree with you”

INSULTING another person is another matter entirely.

Some who post here “let it rip”; others not so much. If you have a “strong” opinion and state it “strongly”, don’t be surprised by a “strong” response; don’t give it if you can’t take it. Anybody that has been checking out this site on any kind of a regular basis should know by now what to expect from chucky, and the rest of us who contribute frequently.

I mostly enjoy the variety of opinions expressed and how they’re shared. I don’t enjoy hurting anybody’s feelings (or having mine hurt) but I have to say that reading “Then to have one of the site admins encourage it is kind of the straw that broke the camels back” made me laugh.

So let’s not get too polite here, or I’ll have to block my IP and disappear, too…in the meantime, here’s wishing “the camel” a speedy and complete recovery…

All the Best, and (please cover your eyes, Fro) go Cubs! 🙂

(yep, still hanging onto that dream….go ahead, make fun of me)

    tick tock…..tick tock…tick tock…..tick tock…tick tock…..tick tock…tick tock…..tick tock…tick tock…..tick tock……

  4. chucky Says:

CBSS……ease up there. In no way, shape or form was I directing anything at you. Truthfully, it was aimed abdallaha. You know me, if I have an issue with someone, I’m open and notorious in ripping that person a new asshole. I don’t do subtle. I’m more abrasive than 36 grit sandpaper. I know how you feel about Cutler. You know my opinion of him. You and I had a disagreement about that months ago. You explained your position, I’ve explained mine. As far as I was concerned, it was over. I had moved on.

So CBSS, if my comments offended you in some way, please accept my apologies, as I sure as hell wasn’t aiming them at you. If I have an issue with you sometime down the line, believe me, you’ll know it. I won’t backdoor some half-assed attack and be subtle about. That applies to anyone here. I hope you’ll reconsider leaving the site. I’ve enjoyed your comments, and I agree with many of them. You and I shouldn’t be having this discussion. I hope you’ll rethink this.

  5. Fro Dog Says:

You guys know what would be great? If the cornerbacks on the Bears can have their bodies faced towards the ball on deep passes. They didn’t learn from the pass interference calls last week?

    Fuck.

  6. Fro Dog Says:

    Cutler with the pick six.

Good Lord, I hate this fucking team.

  7. Fro Dog Says:

Cutler leaves the game. Clausen comes in and sucks, as well. Then, with 3rd and inches, the Bears fail to get the first down. The Cardinals had two straight turnovers and the Bears only get two field goals. PATHETIC.

  8. dvxprime Says:

Well…Cutler’s out for God knows how long…we have no real WR corps…no back-up QBs worth a damn…and our defense has been shredded for 79 points in the first two games of the season. Both losses at home.

I recommend changing the masthead to “FIRE THE BEARS”…at least until basketball season starts or the football season (officially) ends…any takers?

  9. chucky Says:

We all knew this team was going to be bad. Really bad. Strange as it may sound, I hope it continues. It will serve no one if they go 8-8 this year, which the best the were going to be hoping for. It puts them in the middle to lower middle of the draft next year, and they need to a #1 or a #2 pick. At least a #3. No lower than that. And they may need to do this for a couple of years. And Cutler going down with a hamstring injury will only help. Clauson can’t hit a deer in the ass with banjo. He REALLY sucks goat balls. So buckle up, it’s going to be an ugly year. Their starters suck, and they have zero depth.

I was thinking this would happen a few years ago. Think back, if you can take remembering traumatic shit, to Lovie Smiths and Jerry Angelos reign of error here. They were always trying to squeeze just one more year out the defense, despite the fact that they were all getting old. That bullshit went on for a couple of years. THIS is why the defense has sucked the last couple of years, and will suck this year, and maybe next year too. Smith and Angelo totally neglected to upgrade any of the defense, and this is the end result. Once again, we’re paying the price for those two incompetent arrogant, piece of shit, assholes. Goddamnit, Smith outstayed his welcome for at least 4 years, and Angelo belongs in Floyds Barber Shop playing checkers with Andy and Barney. This is going to take, by my estimation, around 4 to 5 years to straighten out. Get ready for it, because it’ll suck worse than anything you’ve ever seen.

    Mark my words.

  10. chucky Says:

And we have the first idiot calling in to the Score to say that the Bears should bring in Tim Teblow to replace Clauson. Goddamn, where the fuck do these morons come from?

Tim fuckin Teblow. What. The. FUCK.

  11. genrebuster Says:

That was very mean-spirited, chucky…insulting Floyd’s barber shop, Andy and Barney like that.

Now if you had stated “Angelo belongs in a toilet…”

  12. chucky Says:

Genre…..what do you have against toilets? That would be mean to them.

  13. erniesarmy Says:

Genre: “Sorry he didn’t appreciate it, but in no way am I ENABLING anybody here. chucky made some points that I agreed with and that is all.”

This site is the only site I post on that doesn’t throw rocks at me (Cub fan for 50 years) for criticizing the Cubs. That is what I like about it. Criticize the Bears, Cubs, Bulls, White Sox, and Blackhawks here and no one hyperventilates. They will debate you, but not make you feel like worthless scum for even bringing up the teams shortcomings.

They will, however, come after you if you start trying to foster the Chicago culture of “don’t criticize my beloved Cubbies” in here. That will get you ganged up on!

Anyway, keep up the good work Genre and Fro, a lot of us appreciate it that you guys continued Bobby D’s blog.

  14. genrebuster Says:

thx a lot Ernie; it’s great to have you back here. I regret not having more time to post this season, hopefully that will change before too much time passes. And I wish we knew happened to Bobby D (probably nothing good)…his original blog was steamrolling along…and then he vanished….

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
