Well, the “experts” are saying the Cubs are the favorites to win the World Series. Who the hell knows for sure? 162 games is a hell of a long season. If Maddon can have them playing like they did at the end of the season, and they can avoid injuries, they have perhaps the best shot they’ve ever had.
Of course, how many times have we all heard THAT before?
Warriors lost tonight, gents! 1 more and they can only tie the Bulls. 2 more and Bulls keep the record all to themselves. They have 2 games against San Antonio, so GO SPURS!!!!
Dusty i just dont have my horses ….Louzer what do want me to do huh huh….maddon to scuzur monday night your a villanova grad go do something and he did monday and last night ….cubs make the playoffs go 3 and out moe lets sign milton i will behave bradley….cubs fail vs the mets they go out and get zobrist heyward and trade castro for a bullpen guy may look bad on paper but could pay off big time
Bad news Genre. Schwarber is out for the entire year with a torn ACL and LCL. Both are fully torn.
But I’m interested in something else here. I’m interested in seeing just how fast Schwarber wants to get back and how hard he’s going to work to get back. And maybe we won’t hear any bullshit about “muscle memory”, or “I’m not at 100%, I’m only at about 95%. Yeah, I’m looking at your sorry, pathetic ass, Derrick Rose. I can’t wait for your contract to end you worthless sack of shit.
Watching the Cubs vs Reds tonight, 3-0 Reds. Lester gives up an 0-2 cookie to the pitcher to drive in the third run. I know one thing, come September, I have no confidence in Lester. Too inconsistent to be a front line starter. If there is an Achilles heal with this team, it is pitching; starters and relievers. Mets have it which automatically gives them a huge edge come September and October.
I think Cubs will be in the playoffs again, but I still don’t see them getting by the Mets in the postseason. I hope I am wrong.
