The Bulls have been eliminated from playoff contention.

I don’t have a whole lot of words to describe this season. It reached a point where I just didn’t care to watch. Other nights, I tried not to but it was so difficult to take my eyes off of them. How pitiful.

Just to think that at the start of the calendar year, the Bulls were a 1.5 games behind the Cavaliers for first place. Three months later, they were eliminated from just reaching the playoffs. That is about as putrid as it can get. To fall that far behind in just a short amount of time is amazing.

Let me defend my mission from years’ past to wanting Tom Thibodeau fired. That was still, the right decision. The Bulls may go on to win 50 games with that dumbass coaching, but it wouldn’t matter because everyone would still be hurt and they would just get eliminated in the first or second round anyway.

The Bulls have become a laughingstock. They are fucked as an organization from top to bottom. Fuck everyone from management, to coaches, trainers, doctors and of course, the players. The players are the ones on the court pissing all over themselves and not listening to the coaches. They really know how to piss off their fans. Sadly, when I mention a team pissing off their fans, I have to specify it’s the Bulls because there are other teams in Chicago that do the same thing.

Fuck this once proud but now PATHETIC franchise.

Personally I would have liked to see Forman and Paxson fired first. I would have liked to see what a real GM would do, one that could actually add talent to this team. Well theres no one to blame but Forman and Paxson. I’m sick of their crap and I’m sick of Jerry Reinsdolf picking his pets, like Paxson, Forman and Williams, over guys who deserve some respect. Well Fro Dog look at the bright side, you can now spend ur money on the Blackhawks.

Also your Cubs are good so focus on them and the Blackhawks over this shit ass team.

    For the love of God…

…and this free-fall is just beginning folks. Gasol and Noah are out the door after this season. Rose and Gibson are in the final year of theirs. The draft picks have been a mixed bag. and Butler is fighting with Hoisberg.

What’s really bad is that the only player anybody wanted at the trade deadline was Pau Gasol (or was it Butler?) Not D-Rose, with his injury history, attitude, and looming civil court case for sexual assault. None of the young dudes. Moving Butler was not an option.

This roster sucks. I vote trading Butler, dumping Rose for whatever the Bulls can get, then blowing up the roster and starting over. The Bulls are plummeting into Knicks/Nets territory now, so the sooner the rebuild starts the better.

…or the Bulls could just fire GarPax and get a GM who knows WTF he’s doing.

Actually, Rose has one year left on his deal after this. Gibson, Noah and Gasol, however, are on the way out.

The Bulls are already in Knicks/Nets territory. And please, someone tell me how stupid the Bulls are for giving Hoiberg a five-year deal. Good Lord. There is so much to be pissed off about, but I don’t really have the energy to go through all of it. This franchise is fucked for the next five years.

    A bit late but…
I have season tickets. Went to nearly all of the games. This season made me sad. It was a collective failure.

Oh, let me list the (many) reasons why this team sucked:

    1) Hoiberg unable to control players (mainly Butler) and letting them control the team- losing the team’s respect when he said Noah asked to come off the bench- failing to hold anyone accountable on their shitty defensive effort (Rose, Gasol, Mirotic, even Butler)

    2) Butler trying to become the team leader by way of a hostile takeover and scorched earth campaign. Alienating teammates, especially Noah, for no reason… especially since he really had only had 1 legit very good season in his career up until this year. Which somehow made him believe that that single season + a huge contract meant he was the team leader by default and entitled him to play Carmelo-like iso ball the entire season

(the whole year commentators said the leadership fight was Butler vs. Rose… but Rose has never been the leader of the team or the person who teammates feed off of- he was just always the best player. The leader was always Noah and Thibodeau. So when Butler tried to force himself into that role, I think it rubbed players the wrong way)

    3) Pau Gasol- the world’s laziest defender (on a team full of them) getting his feet stuck in glue on every pick and role and defensive rebound opportunity- and this lazy attitude rubbed off on the rest of the team (never would have thought I longed for the Boozer defensive days)

    4) Derrick rose not picking it up until after Christmas and never ever trying on defense. Alienating many fans for saying dumb shit (which… maybe I’m a Rose homer?… but I think is more that he is just is a horrible communicator so he doesn’t think before he speaks and everything he says sounds dumb)

    5) Rose + Gasol pick and roll defense= Trump level awfulness

    6) Front office hiring an up tempo offensive coach… only to have a team with slow tempo guys like Pau Gasol, iso-heavy Butler, a broken Dunleavy, offensive liability Noah, and fucking Tony Snell.

The only players that fit the system are Rose (who couldn’t buy a bucket for 1/2 the season and is a huge injury liability), Mcdermott (who plays can’t play defense), and Mirotic (who thinks he can shoot like Curry)

    7) Butler and Rose unable to work together. Since they both need to control the ball to score. They just take turns on offense- there is no flow.

Just my opinion, but while Jimmy may get his points and have some good assist games, he often sacrifices good offensive possessions in the name of taking poor/forced shots or passing to teammates with only a few seconds left on the clock forcing them to take bad shots too (I think KC Johnson had a tweet about this). While Rose was obviously not better than Butler this year, he does run an offense better. He makes quicker passes. He pushes the ball (which is something Butler refused to do all season). His 2nd half numbers when his vision got better (and when Butler went down) showed he can still be around a 20 and 6 guy… not MVP, but at least as good as Butler and a fit in the system. I’ds till be fine with both of them sticking around next year if they learned to pass the ball more…

    8) Injuries- The team was jinxed the first day of camp when Rose broke his face… oh and he also missed 14 or 15 games; Noah was lost for the season; Butler missed 16 games with injury. Dunleavy missed 1/2 the season. Basically 3 or 4 of your starters out for extended amounts of time.

That was a good post and detailed, just the way I like it. Wonderful.

Also, you said you are/were a season ticket holder?
