…so, my brother is at the game…$25 for a double Bulleit bourbon seems a little steep to me; maybe I’m spoiled. Also, they apparently didn’t have any Cubs cups on hand…
Here we go, my frendts…hang on.

Hopefully we aren’t watching the collapse of the cubs. Fucking can’t hit shit

Lackey has thrown 74 pitches in 4 innings and given up 3 runs…not good for the bullpen.
October 11, 2016 at 9:32 pm
Yep. He’s had a shitty game too. This series makes me nervous. I pray we survive though. Haven’t we suffered enough

This is the only team that truly worried me. They just have the ‘it’ factor in these tournaments that nobody else can compete with except maybe St. Louis. Our pitching would trump the AL teams and WAS/LA don’t have reliable postseason pitching / bullpens. WAS would worry me just because of the idea that a Dusty Baker team beat us in the NLCS. Dodgers…not at all.

Goddamn bullpen. Did Grimm really have to come out first?
Four innings to fix this shit.

10 hits for the Giants and 2 hits for the Cubs tells you all you need to know tonight.
The pressure is really getting to them. They are pressing, especially the first five batters. Giants are loaded with confidence. They’ve been here before, so they had no fear being down 0-2.
Hopefully, the Cubs can do a 2003 Florida Marlin comeback here in the eighth. If not, it’s on to Wrigley. At least they will have their fans behind them. Maybe that can spark them.

….hard to watch
October 11, 2016 at 10:52 pm
Fuck yes! We are tied!!
October 11, 2016 at 10:53 pm
Holy baby jesus. Tie game? I cannot believe this.
October 11, 2016 at 10:57 pm
BAEZ. IS. CLUTCH. AGAIN!
October 11, 2016 at 10:58 pm
Don’t blow this bullpen. Don’t. DON’T.

Can Chapman slam the door? Will the Giants finally die? As Pat Hughes says, “fasten those seatbelts!”
October 11, 2016 at 11:08 pm
“Hopefully, the Cubs can do a 2003 Florida Marlin comeback here in the eighth.” Hey, they did it in the ninth! Good enough for me!
Wow, Chapman was absolutely dominant. This team is for real, Genre!

The Cubs beat the Giants! The Cubs beat the Giants! The Cubs beat the Giants! Their streak of never losing a close out game is over! Onward and upward Cub fans!
October 11, 2016 at 11:11 pm

October 11, 2016 at 11:18 pm

October 11, 2016 at 11:20 pm
I’m clearing my throat and warming up for my Russ Hodges impersonation: “The Cubs win the pennant! The Cubs win the pennant! The Cubs win the pennant! Ohhhhhh…Nellllliiiieeee!!”
October 11, 2016 at 11:40 pm
I’m just saying this right now; if the Cubs ever think about trading Javier Baez, I will cease being a Cub fan! That kid is the most exciting, most dynamic Cub player in my lifetime! Contreras is right there too.

HOLY SHIT GUYS-WE DID THIS TO SOMEBODY ELSE!!! I turned the game off in the 4th when Giants got two runners on base and when I finally checked back the Cubs were storming the field. Just WOW! THIS is the kind of thing championship teams do. MAYBE we have finally turned the corner as an organization? I don’t know, but I know their confidence will be sky high going into the NLCS.
A few days to celebrate, relax, and de-stressify-just what the doctor ordered.
October 12, 2016 at 12:05 am
Guys, I saw the last 3 innings….HOLY MOLY! The 9th was FUCKING unreal!
Ernie, they were an inning “late”, but I’ll take it…and Chapman SLAMMED the door……ha ha ha!
Still more Cubs baseball to be played….tick tock. 🙂
