Fair enough. That said, if Rizzo doesn’t start hitting SOON…

Cubs better tack on some more runs, this is too much like what they do; get the offense going in the first three innings, and then stall. Eventually, the other team catches up and passes them.

I remember thinking that in Game 3 Giants, when they let Bumgarner off the hook.

    Nice defensive play by Rizzo….but I hope he starts hitting/starts hitting/starts hitting…

Like I said, if you cannot get your offense to put up a few more runs you are going to be in trouble. 3-3 tie game. Maddon overmanaging like Dusty..

Russell and Rizzo are really hurting this team.

I think pulling Lester might have been a mistake.

All kidding aside, it’s refreshing to see the Cubs take a punch and fight back…when it matters.

Just finished going through game highlights on Dvr-was at a concert in St. Louis. Looks like it was one of the frustrating games you couldn’t put away until the 8th. That granny-wow! Much better than Game 1 of the NLCS last year (when I was also at a concert) and they couldn’t score.

Yeah, Cub history holds me back from predicting Cubs win this series, but fuck, they should. We’ll see.

Just putting this out there; take it as just a layman’s opinion. I am not liking Joe Maddon’s managerial style. He seems stubborn; won’t move Rizzo down, or Baez up, for the sake of the team. Still leaves Russell in the number 5 hole. Why? No rhyme or reason. He just doesn’t want to make adjustments. He also dinks with the pitching too much. He almost blew that game with his stupid pitching changes. Lester could have easily gone one more inning. There was no need to make a change yet.

If he wins it all this will mean nothing. But, if this team loses another NLCS because of Maddon’s pigheadedness, then I don’t see much difference in him from Toothpick.
