…and I’m tired of seeing too many fans – who paid thousands of dollars in some cases – sitting on their hands, looking like the world is coming to and end. Fucking band-wagoners…
It’s the bottom of the 6th, the game is not over…YET.

I posted this on the other thread:
I hope I am wrong, but last nights loss felt to me like the turning point in this series. And tonight’s game four (2-1 Indians in the third) confirms that feeling. Bryant with 2 errors! Lackey serves up a bomb, and a second run thanks to Bryant.
The Cubs look unsure, off-balance, even nervous to me. That’s the sign of a team on the way to losing.
Whoever wins this game wins the series. To be honest, I don’t see the Cubs being able to pull it off. No objective reason, just a gut feeling.
Too many mistakes, too many dumb swings, and not enough clutch performances (hitting or pitching) spells doom.

Watching the clown show they are putting up now in the seventh tells me they’ve quit. So, wait until next year, fellas.

I don’t think a comeback is impossible. Lester should get them to a Game 5 victory over Bauer. After that, I’m glad the last two games are at Cleveland. No way they could handle those last two in front of their home crowd.

Thanks for keeping the dialogue going, guys.
ernie…you might be right, but it’s not over until the final out (of the series). I’m not saying the Cubs will come back…but I remember seeing the Red Sox down 3 games to none to the Yankees…and rallying late to win Game 4, then winning 3 more to win the ALCS.
Pie, I agree. IF they win tomorrow, I think the Cubs may be looser playing a Game 6 in Cleveland.

Genre and Pie you’re both right of course, but this is the Cubs.
That’s really all you have to say; for any other team this isn’t over. But, this is the Cubs.
On a more objective level; they’re being outplayed. They look inexperienced and incredibly confused out there. This is a young team. I think they will be back in the same spot next year. And, with a few pieces here and there, and with more Playoff experience, be more ready.

…they DID fight back against the Giants and Dodgers.
But you are absolutely correct, ernie…”…they’re being outplayed. They look inexperienced and incredibly confused out there. This is a young team.”
It’s already a great story. And if they come back and win it this year, even better.
On paper, they should have a great chance at returning next year…but we know how that works out already (“on paper”).
