Okay, wind blowing out hard, temp in the mid 60s. Fly balls will have an extra 30-60 feet added to their distance during the strongest wind gusts. Weather favors groundball pitchers, Hendricks will be perfect for this. Let Tomlin hang one and bye bye baseball. Could be a high scoring game with the Cubs on top. Hopefully Hendricks goes long.

…a friend of mine mans an ESPN camera…he e-mailed me earlier, says the city is “electric” today…man, wish I was there!

Genre…..actually, no you don’t. It’s a fuckin zoo out here. The city is loaded with drunken douche copter fans, the ones all of us have been hating on for a million years. Most of them were at Murphy’s Bleachers at 6:00AM this morning! And yes, they HAD to be loaded. You couldn’t pay me to go into that total clusterfuck.

Cubs look unfocused and confused. Lots of big swings, but no connection. Sign of a young team. They don’t look like they came to play tonight.

And Hendricks is doing the old Joe Garagiola, “checking the gas tank with a lighted match” routine. Top of the fifth and Maddon finally takes him out. He didn’t have it from the start. Too bad. Bases loaded and only one out. He puts in Grimm? Really? I see a big inning for the Indians.

As I suspected, the Indians finally break through in the seventh. They will get more before the game is over.
Cubs really showing their inexperience in this game. Swinging for the fences in nearly every at bat. Pitchers giving up first batter walks or hits. It’s gonna catch up to you.
Well, hope Lackey can hold up his end. Otherwise it will be 3-1 Indians and the series will be over.

Looks like everybody’s out of town, or too upset to post anything. So, I will say my piece and be off.
I hope I am wrong, but last nights loss felt to me like the turning point in this series. And tonight’s game four (2-1 Indians in the third) confirms that feeling. Bryant with 2 errors! Lackey serves up a bomb, and a second run thanks to Bryant.
The Cubs look unsure, off-balance, even nervous to me. That’s the sign of a team on the way to losing.
Whoever wins this game wins the series. To be honest, I don’t see the Cubs being able to pull it off. No objective reason, just a gut feeling.
Too many mistakes, too many dumb swings, and not enough clutch performances (hitting or pitching) spells doom.
Oh well. they are young. Perhaps they can overcome these things next year. See ya, fellas.

ernie, thx for weighing in. I got home just before the game started and forgot that I hadn’t started a new thread for Game 4. If the Cubs lose tonite, I don’t like their chances moving forward…
