Well, the Bears had their chances. Then, bad decisions fucked them royally. It’s what the Bears do. We are use to this. It didn’t help that referees had a bad game as well. I won’t say it made the difference, but it made it more difficult for the Bears.
Kyle Fuller: First drive of the game and the defense has a stop. It should just be a field goal. Instead, this guy is lined up in the neutral zone. Five-yard penalty and an automatic first down. Next play? Touchdown Saints. A week after I praised this guy, he fucks up.
Connor Barth: Fuck this guy and his missed field goals.
Play-calling on offense: Here we go again. The defense just got the ball back with a chance to win the fucking game down 17-12. It was the defense’s forced turnover of the game. 2nd and 1. Instead of RUNNING THE FUCKING BALL to just get a first down, it’s passes galore. Un-fucking-believable. Horrible calls. Just get the first down and begin again. Instead, the Saints get the ball back and get a field goal making it 20-12.
Mitch Trubuisky: Poor guy. He’s trying. The receivers can’t run routes. They also can’t catch the ball.
Zach Miller’s touchdown that wasn’t a touchdown: This dude’s leg is snapped in half on a catch for a touchdown. His career as a Bear at least is probably over. This is where the referees fucked up. It was a clear catch. The ball didn’t hit the ground. And yet, it was called back. Double-whammy.
A much needed bye-week for all of us is up next. The Packers are in town two weeks from now. Your thoughts in the thread.

Stupidest team in the NFL. Again.
Tim Baffoe’s silly blogging as posted something about the Bears not having a chance, but having a chance at the playoffs. I say hell, no!
1) No receiving corps to speak of.
2) More than a third of the roster populated by rookies (most of them UFAs).
3) A head coach who has no interest or incentive in developing said rookies on the roster.
If Ryan Pace actually gave a shit, John Fox would be gone as soon as the presser was over. In fact, if Fox stands up and says a whole bunch of ridiculous bullshit, Pace should just interrupt Fox right then and there and fire him on the spot, in front of cameras, microphones and all.
Like I said, no way is this a playoff team. But for the love of God, would it kill you to try and get the rookies up to speed if you know you can be a somewhat competitive team?

That Zach Miller catch was a touchdown. The refs gave this game to the Saints. Kudos to the improving Bears defense for holding them to 20 points. I like our chances against the Rodgers-less Packers.

I can’t believe that they called that td an incomplete pass. That cost us the game. Not to mention fuller lining offsides. I feel like we outplayed them today but lost on the scoreboard. We are headed in the right direction. We are competitive in almost every game. We need to open the playbook more and not be as predictable to evolve as an offense

It’s such a shame. Miller’s career is over. It was just a freak play. The guy came back after numerous injuries and kept coming back.
Kyle Long and Cody Whitehair (by Cracky) were also hurt today. That offensive line is just completely out-of-whack. They can’t protect Trubisky unless the tight ends are with them.
Next year’s draft should give them about six picks at the very least (unless Pace trades two or three of them away just to move up one spot). I will suggest they do the following with those picks: Four wide receivers and two offensive linemen.

His bears career is over atleast. We have to be active in free agency this year. Pick up some solid pieces and draft the rest. We need some veteran talent as well. Our offensive line can’t pass block. Which is surprising because we run the ball so much

Just gotta say, boy, that fuckin’ Dodgers bullpen is just too good-impossible to hit!!
October 31, 2017 at 4:32 pm
Roberts is using the Dodger bullpen the same way Maddon used his last year: Using relievers in back-to-back games, and having them pitch more innings than they are used to; equals gassed pitchers.
These managers never seem to learn.

Did the Bears do anything at the trading deadline?
October 31, 2017 at 7:23 pm
Yeah. Ryan Pace traded away draft picks for the next two years to move up three spots from wherever they are positioned at the end of the season. We understand Pace really likes this punter from a college and is eager to get him.
