I found this video of the debacle in 1999 when Mike McCaskey embarrassed himself and the Bears even more. The Dave McGinnis hiring/not actually hired was just atrocious. In this video, Brad Palmer calls the Bears the laughingstock of the NFL. Well, almost 19 years later, things haven’t changed!
At the 30-second mark, there is a Ted Phillips’ sighting. Go figure, he looked clueless then and he still looks clueless now.

When I joined Fire Everybody, I followed this site, Fire Ron Turner (Carl and Dave), Start Kyle Horton, and ChiCity Sports. I think the Bears being such a debacle has driven a lot of people away from blogging or reading bears blogs.

Also, tough night for the Blackhawks. Unless it’s the Stanley Cup Final, Tampa Bay (like Philadelphia)) is a house of horrors for this team. They always build a lead down there only to end up losing in overtime. It happened again tonight. History has shown over the last several years that if a team isn’t in a playoff spot by Thanksgiving, they usually don’t make the playoffs. It’s a bit scary as the Blackhawks are just on the outside.
