I owe no apology for the headline of this post. I have experienced shitty Bears football for over 30 years. Some others here have dealt with the bullshit even longer.
I have zero optimism that Ryan Poles knows what he’s doing. Same for Matt Eberflus. What should have been a turning point after they shocked the world by beating the Patriots on Monday Night Football resulted in losing every game after.
Sure, trades of Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith hurt the defense. But let’s be real here: There were at least five games after those trades that the Bears still should have won. Everyone is to blame. The players for fucking up in key situations and the coaches for the shitty play-calling. Both were at fault for those losses.
So the Bears have all this cap space. Great. But this isn’t basketball where three superstar free agents can be signed and instantly, they are contenders. It doesn’t work that way in the NFL. Drafting players who are actually good are the ones that matter.
Last year, Poles drafted all busts. And don’t tell me Kyler Gordon and Jaquan Brisker are good. They are rotten. Velus Jones can go fuck himself. Go ahead and check the rest of that class and let me know who stood out to you. I’ll be here waiting.
The fact that the Bears couldn’t even find ONE outstanding player in the draft last year is reason for the panic button to be pressed. 11 players drafted and one of those was punter Trenton Gill. Other than him, who from that class will be on the team in two years? And for the record, I think at least three of those players aren’t even on the roster anymore. That’s not a good sign.
Want more of a reason to know that him being in charge isn’t a good sign? Look no further than the amazing signings of the backup quarterbacks. Trevor Semen and Nathan PeterStroker. The statistically worst quarterbacks in NFL history were signed. Maybe they should have used one of those picks on a quarterback?
Ryan Poles failed this team. And this April, it can be the same thing all over again.

Exactly right Fro. I couldn’t have said it any better. Kudos, my fitness frendt!
There is one thing that is just pissing me off to no end though. It seems that sports pundits, mostly the ones from The Score, continue to talk like Poles and Eber-Loser know what the fuck they’re doing. GODDAMNIT, THEY DON’T!!!!!! The two biggest culprits of course are Mulligan and Haugh, two of the biggest dipshits this side of Hub Arkush. Spiegel is as useless as tits on a bull too. Stick to baseball numbnuts. Their callers are just as stupid too. They seem to think that with a few good moves the Bears will be Super Bowl contenders. Fucking idiots. It appears to me that the smart people are at WGN radio. Hampton and O’Bradovich have true passion, they actually give a damn about winning, and how the game SHOULD be played, and they are incredibly intelligent. And so are the fans who call in to their show. They know where the problems are with this organization. OB has no respect for Eber-Loser and the rest of his rogue’s gallery of coaches, especially after this clusterfuck of a season. Hampton is the same way. And more and more fans are calling in to call out the McCaskey family. At least some people are finally getting the picture of where the real problems are.

Chuckster!
I only speak facts. And the facts are that everyone outside of the punter drafted last year has been horseshit. I know there could be an instance where a player does turn out to be good eventually. But come on. This is the Bears. Their history of busts is long and the fact that no one is of value from this last draft screams incompetence.
I barely paid attention to the last five games or so. But the first ten for example, you know how many times I screamed “COVER YOUR RECEIVER”? Yeah. Most of it was directed at Brisker and Gordon. Those fucking idiots make Daniel Manning look like a hall of famer.

If I’m the Bears, I trade the #1 pick for multiple picks this year and next. They need an offensive line and quality receivers. But I’m a Packer fan and wish the Bears the worst. And I also wish the Packers would let Rodgers and LeFleur walk!

From Dog, would you work for the Bears as a talent/scout player evaluator if they offered you a job? If so email me at jdlewis2626@gmail.com.

Joseph,
I have given the Bears advice on this very website for over 14 years and free of charge. Simply asking for this inept franchise to draft a defensive back who won’t wander around aimlessly as a wide receiver runs right by them for a touchdown isn’t asking for too much.
That being said, I’ll accept the head coaching position. But only if they let me bring Chucky with me as an assistant.

Fro, do I get to keep my chainsaw and heavy mining equipment? I can also rent a helicopter if necessary. If I can, I accept!
January 11, 2023 at 10:10 pm
Of course. I was going to say, you will need that mining equipment to hit the players if they do something stupid such as dumb penalties.
I don’t know who Joseph is since he wants me to email him. Does he work for the Bears? If so, this could be our chance!

Fro Dog, Poles did pretty well with Undrafted Free Agents, namely Jack Sanborn and Jaylon Jones. Unfortunately Velus Jones is not looking very well. We should have gone with George Pickens instead. And the Claypool trade may go down as a Pittsburgh robbery.
As I said regarding the Texans, it could be worse. We could be them. Or just look at the mockery the Colts are embroiled in. Have you heard they’re seriously going to give Jeff Saturday, the guy with the largest blown lead in NFL history, consideration for the job going forward? Colts fans from what I’ve read are wanting to pike the heads of Jim Irsay and Chris Ballard(GM). And, if they want to get a halfway decent QB and not keep playing the now five-time annual revolving doors with their Luckless plight, (not to mention, if they don’t trade up past the Texans they may end up losing twice a year to the guy they forsaked) they’ll have to play ball with us in the Draft, and it will cost them as we could just as well end up trading down with the Raiders or Panthers if they don’t rise to the bait. Or we could even end up trading down with the Texans, effectively reverse-engineering the Trubisky trade, and get a layup of free picks if they are that hell bent on Bryce Young.
We are in a strong position. Keep your powder dry just this once. This is unlike anything else the Bears have ever been in before.
