Fuck. This. Team.

Throughout time, there is a lesson to be learned especially in sports:

Be careful what you wish for.

I am not going to bag on Cutler too bad for missing those wide open receivers – he is shellshocked. Ron Turner has singlehandedly taken a former all pro quarterback and turned him into shit. Amazing how fast that happenned. Hopefully SOMEONE in the Bears office will see the corrolation and get rid of Ron.

  2. Fro Dog Says:

    Dan,

We saw the bubble screen/WR screen many times again last night. This shit has been sitting in the toilet for too long. By shit, I mean Ron Turner, the offensive line, etc.

    Flush the fucking toilet already.

  3. genrebuster Says:

All kidding aside, I don’t understand how Ron Turner keeps his job. Cutler hasn’t played to his potential for sure but this is what happens when bad coaches/managers are allowed to keep their jobs long after they should have been dumped.

We have seen this with the Cubs — over and over — and we are seeing it now with the Bears.

What was the point of going after Cutler? They would have been better off replacing Turner with a better coach and keeping Wrecks or Orton.

I still believe Cutler can thrive as a Bear but Ron Turner has to go. It’s a safe bet that he would bring even the most talented offense to it’s collective knees. It doesn’t take a genius to see this.

Tony Dungey had some interesting comments on Cutler after the game, did anybody hear what he had to say?

  4. Sandberg23 Says:

Fro, also point out that the bubble screen never ever works for them and Turner still dials it up every fucking game at least 2 – 3 times. He usually does it on a 3rd and 8-10 yds too. Go get Shanahan now if you want to save Cutler. This pathetic bunch is ruining him. For Christ sakes Cutler had a damn clipboard on the sideline writing up plays to the wideouts. What the hell does that tell you about our O Coordinator.

  5. Fro Dog Says:

    Sandberg23,

The bubble screen is pretty much the WR screen that we have all been seeing in games as well as in our nightmares. This has gotten to point where it so damn frustrating. Everyone is to blame for these losses. From Cutler to the offensive line. To the defense and up to the coaches. Although I will give credit to the defense the last couple games as they have played well.

  6. Nemo Says:

Not a fan of Turner at all, but if anyone blames Turner for Cutler missing all those open receivers, that is bullshit. I admit that when I see that WR screen I feel like opening up on my TV like Elvis did when Robert Goulet appeared on his set. However, the facts are that Turner called at least 3 plays that should have gone for touchdowns-and it was Cutler who failed to execute every time. If Cutler is “shell-shocked” then we have indeed hired a taller Rex Grossman. The NFL is for tough guys-If you don’t have a pair, you won’t be playing for long.

  7. MadCityMac Says:

Guys, if I don’t get a chance to say it later in the week, hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! I’m drinking my weight in beer Wednesday night, and waking up just in time to watch the Pack and the Lions.

I honestly thought the Bears were going to win that game. And I DO think Cutler is running scared from everything right now; he’s lost, and I kinda feel sorry for the guy. And I feel sorry for Hester having his ass shown on national TV!

  8. Fro Dog Says:

    Mike,

You and your family have a good holiday also.

By the way, we are all still on for that get together on the 13th in Kenosha. I am still waiting for Genre to let me know and a couple others here. According to the map, the place that Keith mentioned is right off the interstate so I don’t think any of us should have a problem finding it.

And yes. The Devin Hester full moon was disturbing.

  9. MadCityMac Says:

Fro, I’m there! (weather permitting of course!). Notice how Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth completely glossed over it when they showed the replay of Hester? That’s a wardrobe malfunction I’d rather not see again. Now, if Serena Williams or Maria Sharapova would be so kind…. 🙂

  10. Nemo Says:

Actually, Collinsworth did make a comment about Cutler throwing it “barely” off the ground. He just did it pretty deadpan that it tends to go unnoticed:

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  11. MadCityMac Says:

Nemo, that’s Collinsworth for you! I’m actually getting to like him; didn’t much when he was in the studio, but I was really getting tired of Madden. It was like having to listen to Mr Smug, Joe Buck, but in a different horrible way.

  12. Captain Kirk Says:

Why we must get rid of Dusty Smith & get some real wide recievers for Cutler.

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
