Last open thread of the decade.

There are a couple things I have been meaning to write about but I will get to it sometime next week.

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy new year.

I would like to wish everyne a happy new year as well and remember it was a year ago today that moe hendry traded dero for three pitchers and signed aaron miles

  2. robert Says:

for joy for joy hendry has outbid everyone for marlon byrd 3 years 15 million….my god and one the one year of the aaron miles signing man I cant wait to see how this works out

Couple things… Robert, have you ever learned where the period and shift keys are? Your writing is so atrocious. It just screams intelligence..

Also, what the hell does this mean “my god and one the one year”… huh?

  4. ksmc2000 Says:

I would like to extend a Happy New Year to all of you guys at FDB2. And most important, be safe out there tonight and throughout the new year.

Hendry flips Cub fans “The Byrd”….
Didn’t he learn anything from the fiasco that was the offseason last year? He has managed to throw out all the trash that he gathered a year ago. When he traded DeRosa, his strategy was to be more lefthanded. Signing Byrd to a three year deal is fucking crazy. If I’m not mistaken, Byrd bats right, so that puts them right back where they were after the three game sweep by the Dodgers in the 08 playoffs. I would rather have had one year of Cameron, than three for Byrd. The only advantage I see is that it moves Fukudome back to RF. Hopefully, a more comfortable defensive position will help Dome at the plate.

  5. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Is this some kind of fucking joke? Marlon Byrd? This guy is a poor man’s Ryan Howard. With Howard, he strikes out a lot, but he also hits the shit out of balls. Byrd on the other hand, sucks.

I said this before last season and I am saying it again now:

This team will once not contend in 2010.

Why? Because Jim Hendry is an inept general manager and has no business being there.

Happy 102 years without a championship. And faggots like Irish Yeti don’t like it, then kiss my ass.

Thanks for the links bud. I was like a kid in a candy store watching the Penguins/Devils and Capitols/Sharks games last night. The Blackhawks will have their work cut out for them tonight. Brodeur was a beast in the net for the Devils recording his second straight shutout. He will be joining Toews, Keith, and Seabrook on Team Canada.

I hope the Hawks start Neimi in goal against New Jersey. I can see why you get so pissed over Huet. The start of the second period against Dallas was brutal. I’m glad Quennville pulled his sorry ass after the second goal in less than a minute. Neimi didn’t deserve to take the loss in that game.

  7. Fro Dog Says:

No problem with the links. Glad to help. The Blackhawks will have their work cut out tonight. We’ll see how things go. I wish I could go to a game sometime soon. The tickets have been hard to get lately. It doesn’t help when all the rich bandwagon fans get the tickets before regular working real fans like us.

  8. robert Says:

Yetti I have a question for you is this yours and moe hendrys theme song …you know the one you sing together when the lights are out the candles are on and the wine is flowing

  9. genrebuster Says:

HA HA HA HA HA…indeed, I think it is!

I’ll have more to report and reflect on next year. Everybody be safe tonite, Happy New Year to you & yours.

That Byrd signing makes sense…if you’re Jim Hendry! What a fucking loser of a GM. The Bradley signing is his legacy and he has earned it. Nothing short of a WS title can ever erase it.

I’m looking forward to upcoming threads and rants…

  10. chucky Says:

That is outstanding! I heard that song years ago but I didn’t know that video was out there.

And it’s probably Maddog 20-20 that will be flowing tonight. No grapes involved here.

  11. robert Says:

Genre did you read Marlon Byrd was willing to sign a one or two year deal but hendry said since he waited for him he would give him a 3 year deal…

  12. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

    Happy New Year to all.

Jim Hendry was quoted as saying that Byrd was “coming into his own”. Sure has. A 33 year old outfielder is finally coming into his own after all these years.

That is our great GM speaking there.

    Happy 102 years.

  13. robert Says:

If Marlon Byrd is the answer I would hate to see the question

  14. robert Says:

our new hitting coach on the signing of marlon byrd

  15. genrebuster Says:

    I agree on this one.

  16. robert Says:

genre his number stand right up there with dave winfield
