Happy Monday.

Well isn’t this just excellent.

1. How about the Blackhawks forgetting how to play hockey this past week? Stupid turnovers. Dumb penalties. Sound like another team in town? Oh don’t forget the odd-man rushes. For one weekend, the goalies were not to blame completely.

2. Chicago Bulls – Suck. Moving on.

3. Fighting Illini basketball – This is exactly what I expected. This is what has been going on for the last four, five years. Blown leads, missed opportunities and missed free throws. They can beat teams like Wisconsin twice, Michigan State and Clemson but lose to the teams like Bradley, Utah and Georgia. They take Ohio State to the limit and then piss all over themselves in the final seconds. Enjoy the NIT. Turds.

I’ll have a March Madness thread before the games on Thursday. Feel free to talk about what upsets you may have. I plan on working on a bracket when I finally get all my work done at my real job.

Frodog, I didn’t get that list yet. Okay, hoops. I’m surprised Illinois didn’t get in. Beating the Badgers, but more importantly, taking Ohio St. to the limit. Minnesota gets in after getting just waxed by Ohio St. And what the hell is the Pac-10 doing with 2 teams in when they barely deserve one. I got Purdue losing to Sienna. They’re just not the same without Hummel. I think I have MSU losing in the 2nd or 3rd round, and the Badgers getting to the Elite 8. But then again, which Badger team shows up. The one that beat Illinois a week ago, or the one that couldn’t hit a lake with a shot early against the Illini on Friday. All I know at this point is I’ll be sitting at my favorite watering hole Friday afternoon about 2ish, beer in hand!

I don’t even know what to say about the Blackhawks. 3-0 lead and Ovechkin out of the game for that hit on Campbell, and then they piss it away.

I sent the email again to your Yahoo account. If you still don’t get it, if you have another email address, I can try it there too.

The Hawks are not playing nearly as well since the Olympic break as they were before. The games over the weekend would have been wins in December and January. Back then, they would have tacked on a few extra goals to put a team away. They look like they lost that killer instinct they had before.

I wasn’t crazy about trading Cam Barker at the time, but by losing Campbell, Kim Johnson’s experience will help fill the void. I am concerned with the possibility of drawing the Red Wings in the first round of the playoffs. They are finally near full strenghth and have been playing much better.
