Sheep: THE CUBS SWEPT THE DIAMONDBACKS!! THIS TEAM IS TURNING AROUND THEY ARE GONNA WIN ALL THE WAY GO CUBS GO!!!BAAAAAAAAA

Cubs lose series to the Dodgers 3-1
Sheep: BUT IT WAS A WINNING ROAD TRIP, WATCH THE GREAT CHANGES AFTER THE ALL-STAR BREAK!! BAAAAAAAAA

Cubs win series vs a struggling Phillies team at home 3-1 with high offensive numbers in the 3 games they won.
Sheep: THE CUBBIES ARE SURGING, DON’T TRADE ANY OF THEM THERE IS STILL TIME. WE LOVE LOU AND HENDRY GO CUBS GO!!! BAAAAAAAAAAA

Over 35,000 in attendance in last night’s no-contest ass-whooping by the Astros. Down from 40,000+ though. So at least a few thousand fans are starting to become fed up with the product on the field. Keep those numbers dropping. We need more smart people and less dumb sheeple!!

  2. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Louser Piniella is retiring at the end of the year. Does it even matter?

Ricketts said in a press conference today that Hendry is the GM and will be the one to find the next manager of the team.

You cannot make this shit up. Seriously.

  3. Sandberg23 Says:

Some one explain to me that if Ryno is a candidate for the job and Lou is retiring. Why don’t they just tell Lou that he can go ahead and make his retirement official as of today and move Ryno up immediatley to run the team for the rest of the year to see if he’s got what it takes to be a big league manager? Doesn’t this make the most sense?? So instead they might go into this blind next year in hiring him. Of course this is the Cubs so why would anything make sense. Forget Girardi. They had they’re chance 4 years ago. Now they would have to hope somehow the Yankees screw up in re-upping his contract and also the Cubs would have to make him the highest paid manager in the league to get him. As of now Ricketts is not showing he’s gonna open up the check book as of yet so again forget Girardi.

  4. MadCityMac Says:

Same shit, different day. Ricketts, Zell, the Trib. How the hell can Ricketts say anything remotely that asinine! You’d think someone who wants to see this team win would get his head out of his ass and realize what a useless piece of shit Moe Hendry is!

  5. gernebuster Says:

I have to weigh in for a moment…

I’m not sorry to see Lou retire….but I would prefer Hendry “retire” and Lou stay for 2 years. Hendry is to blame for the current state of the Cubs…it’s “his team”.

Ricketts is just another dumb sheeple…albeit a very wealthy one..the worst kind. What a disappointment.

Somebody please wake me up when it’s over.

  6. robert Says:

    the cubs next manager

Joe Torre We have tried this recycled shit over and over

    Tony Larussa Hell no

Allen Trammel 120 losses Lou Clone

    Bob Brenly Maybe

Ryne Sandberg (people say he isnt experienced but then again Girardi won manager of the year his rookie season and then went to the Yankees and has won the ws

Joe Girardi should have been hired 4 years ago instead of pinella…preaches the fundamentals..would rather loose a game 11-1 then 3-2 due to the fundamentals……

Girardi or Sandberg or a revolt

  7. Captain Kirk Says:

It is now official Tom Ricketts is an idiot. Go buy beer we have another 100 years with Tom Ricketts and Jim Hendry.

Who will Hendry pick as Manager lets see he tried Dusty Baker who is doing better in Cincy with a real GM riding his ass. Hendry broke Lou Pinella with his stupid signings and his attempt to get the one player we needed. If I was a solid manager I would think twice about coming to the Cubs after seeing what Hendry has brought the team. Look for the sentimental favorite Sandberg to get the job, he might be the only one in baseball who would want it.

The Cubs don’t like baseball men like Brenly or Steve Stone they tend to talk about the comedy of errors the management team brings to the field. So give it to the company man Ryno.

    This franchise is so sad!

  8. genrebuster Says:

    Kirk, you nailed it.

    This franchise is PATHETIC.

  9. MadCityMac Says:

    Spot on Kirk!

  10. erniesarmy Says:

Hey, how bout them White Sox?

  11. Sandberg23 Says:

Take it easy on Ryno being the company man. That makes it sound like he is as pathetic as Hendry and Ricketts. Maybe its because I’m a homer because of my name on here and he is my favorite player. But what would be so horrible if Ryno is named the manager?? Look at the guys that have been brought in previously. They were veteran managers who failed miserably here. If I remember right there was a lot of people who wanted Lou here when Girardi was available, now these are the same people who want Girardi here. If I remember right that whole situation was based on experience too. I’m not saying Ryno should be the lead candidate but I also think that he should be given a legit chance at getting the job. Cause I’m tellin ya if he gets a managers spot with some other organization and does well everybody back here in Chicago will be complaining as to why he was not given the spot here.

  12. genrebuster Says:

I have no problem with Sandberg getting a shot.

I’d be happy to see Torre or Girardi, too.

Perhaps Lou is tired of managing under Hendry…if so I don’t blame him…(I’m so over Hendry that I don’t follow the team on a daily basis like I used to for so many years)….don’t be surprised if Lou re-emerges (with a different team) in a couple of years.

But in the end, it doesn’t matter…as long as Hendry is GM this organization is handcuffed. Ricketts is a damned fool for keeping Hendry on.

Hendry’s record speaks for itself, he is a PATHETIC GM and so far, Ricketts is a PATHETIC owner.

At least we can look forward to the return of Lil Z…I hope that screwball starts a fight.

  13. Sandberg23 Says:

Screw the Sox Ernie. LOL. Root for the Twins. That’s who I’ve been going for. I can still hate the Sox that way.

  14. erniesarmy Says:

    Screw the Sox Ernie. LOL.
    —————-
I hear ya, Sandberg, but at least they have an organization that cares about winning. This Cub organization obviously doesn’t.

  15. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Welcome to the big leagues Brian Shitter! Nice fat one you served up in extras!!!

  16. robert Says:

Fro Keep this article and reprint it when the cubs next manager is hired

When Moe Hendry gets obsessed with something nothing stops him till he gets it… Juan Pierre Michael Barrett Milton Bradley Aaron Heilmann Kosuke FuckingDummy…

Bobby Valentine wants the cubs job moe loves bobby valentine…

wouldnt it be ironic if moe hired him and then Sandberg gets a job in the NL and the World Series is Sandbergs Team and Girardis Team

  17. genrebuster Says:

    PATHETIC.

  18. CK Says:

THANK YOU DERREK LEE YOU GREEDY PIECE OF SHIT FOR VETOING A TRADE! WHY GO THE ANGELS WHO ARE IN A PLAYOFF CHASE? THERE IS NO PRESSURE TO STAY ON A LOSING TEAM UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON! KEEP ON GETTING YOUR PAYCHECK THIS SEASON FOR DOING VIRTUALLY NOTHING!

HEY PINIELLA, YOU COULD HAVE POSSIBLY SWEPT THE ASTROS, BUT YOU HAD TO FUCK WITH THE LINEUP ON TUESDAY! WHY NOT STAY WITH WHAT WORKED ON MONDAY? THEN YOU WONDER WHY THE BATS FELL SILENT. WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT GIVING GUYS A CHANCE TO PLAY? DON’T YOU WANT TO WIN? ABSOLUTE FUCKING LUNACY!

  19. MadCityMac Says:

Nice to see Andy MacFAIL finally found a manager stupid enough to run the train wreck called the Orioles. Doing a helluva job there Andy! About as good as that piece of shit Moe Hendry! Lee and Larry MacPhail must be turning in their graves seeing the great job noted baseball legacy Andrew has done with the O’s and before that the Cubs!

  20. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Well, at least I know there is one other organization out there that is just as dumb as the one we root for. Oh wait. The idiot over there use to work for our team. DUH!

I’d rather be in a coma than follow this team for the foreseeable future. Until then, I am taking the Fro Dog route. Ciao!

  21. genrebuster Says:

Must comment on this. How poetic: Brown Spot has been released…so Lil Z (whatever you do, do NOT mistake him for an ace) can return.

Thank You Moe Hendry for all of your brilliant moves.

More importantly, Thank You Tom Ricketts for allowing Hendry to remain on the job, therefore ensuring the sorry-assed tradition of the Cubs. Most of us with any sense agree that Moe should have been canned a long time ago.

I’m a lifelong fan but I may end up hating this team, unless Ricketts comes to his senses.

    SOS. TRULY PATHETIC.

    tick tock…tick tock…tick tock…tick tock…tick tock…tick tock…tick tock…

  22. E-mc2 Says:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Fondly, Albert

  23. Tom Ricketts Says:

I have complete faith in Larry Rothschild! And if Jim Hendry wants to reward him with a fat bonus, fine with me!

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
