The fucking Hawks are pissing me off. Can you at least make the playoffs?!

Kerry Wood has signed a one year deal with the Cubs, and if Paul Sullivan is to be believed, Wood gave the Cubs a massive discount.

  2. Fro Dog Says:

    Nemo,

I second the Blackhawks woes. Injuries shouldn’t be an excuse, they are in every game but the defense falls apart. I will be in the seventh row Sunday night against the Kings and who knows if this team can pick it up. I think Crawford is the best option in net although Turco can’t really be blamed. As we all know in a sport like hockey, if a team can just get into the playoffs, all bets are off.

  3. The ghost of Irish Yeti Says:

    I am here again people.

I would show you all that Kerry Wood is a serviceable pitcher. However, when I am wrong, I decline to make my presence known around all of you.

  4. genrebuster Says:

I’m ok with the Kerry Wood signing guys, with the massive discount it is a gamble worth taking. With Rothschild gone (yay) it will be interesting to see how he pitches.

Please don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.

p.s. Ghost, is Irish Yeti still among us or has he departed to the stat heavens?

I’m very much alive, Genre: https://firedustybaker2.wordpress.com/2010/12/12/thank-god-the-lions-won/#comment-5832

And I like the Kerry signing. 1.) I’d marry him if Illinois wasnt a bunch of fucks and allowed it. 2.) for 1.5 million, it’s a move of little risk.

Also, for whoever mentioned “with Rothschild finally gone” in another thread, why do you hate Rothschild so much. During his tenure with the Cubs, they consistently had one of the better pitching staffs in the National League. There were a couple down years thrown in, but for the most part, it was pretty damn good, if not “elite” for the national league. If you blame him for the injuries there are just some pitchers who are consistently hurt. Same goes with players. I mean, it’s just bad luck. Sure, it happened to a couple of very good promising young pitchers, but he is not to blame for that.

It still just baffles me how you guys have a propensity to just say “FIRE EVERYONE” without offering a solution. If you think firing everyone is the solution, then you are clinically insane. And then you pin it on players that don’t deserve it (Zambrano, Gregg, etc). Want to blame Hendry? Fine. Thats more than fair, if not accurate criticism, but the coaches the Cubs have kept around really aren’t holding them back. It’s been erratic play by players who actually suck (Miles, Theriot, DeWitt, Hill, Bullpen pitchers not named Marshall and Marmol (and now Wood again), Nady, Hoffpauier, Fontenot. Just to name a few)

  6. chucky Says:

What did any of “us” pin on Kevin Gregg that he didn’t deserve? I really want to know.

  7. robert Says:

I am glad kerry resigned he never wanted to leave in the first place but moe had to get milty so he had to cut salary somehow….ps one of the rumors he signed woody was to get heat off his ass for hiring quazimodo and letting ryno walk

    Yeti,

Sorry, I sat on this one all day and finally decided that I just had to put in my two cents worth. In your last post, you said:

And I like the Kerry signing. 1.) I’d marry him if Illinois wasnt a bunch of fucks and allowed it.

Are you coming outta the closet there….stat boy?

    Later,
    Jimmy D.

    Fro,

Hope you enjoyed the Hawks game-playing better since my comment. How did you even get tix? We were on the internet the moment they went on sale and after foolishly passing up glass seats on the first search could not find anything but SRO. Had to go to St. Louis to see a game. Would rather the Hawks had my money. We might stubhub a game in Chicago before the season is through.

    RIP Phil Cavarretta

  12. Fur Coats by Juliana Says:

Furs are poplular once again. From mink coats to chinchilla jackets. We are experiencing numerous quantities of fur remodeling too. Beloved fur coats are reworked into glamorous fashions and are returning to the streets again. Ten year old garments restyled into current fashions.

  13. Red Paint Says:

Hope I don’t trip and spill all over those “poplular” furs.

  14. Fro Dog Says:

    Nemo,

I actually buy the tickets at face value from Ticketmaster. So I don’t give out my own way of getting any seat I want in the house, if you want, I can email you some information on how to get tickets at face value and be able to pick any section you want. It’s not always guaranteed but if you do what I do, you have a better chance. Never go to Stubhub no matter how much you want to go. It is a rip off. Let me know though if you want information.

  15. Mitch Cummstein Says:

Dammit Julia. Learn how to SPELL. And post your spam elsewhere.

  16. Nemo Says:

    Hey Fro,

Any tips you have regarding Ticketmaster would be greatly appreciated! Please note that I have a new email account listed with this post. People on stubhub want insane amounts of money quite often-and I am done with nosebleed seats. The asking prices for tonight’s Mizzou-Illinois game are outrageous. Thanks.
