  1. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

    Good day to all.

Can someone tell me what happened to all the sheeple who trolled this blog earlier in the season? Did the wind blow them away? Or did Fro get rid of them? By the way Fro, I want to thank you again for banning the childish twinks once and for all from here.

Now, if Jim Hendry can just get fired, then I would be ecstatic. Can anyone believe that he has held on to the job for nearly a decade? PATHETIC. Can Irish Yeti give us some stats to show that he is a serviceable general manager?

  2. Yeti Says:

I could point out 3 division titles during his reign is probably one of the best in Cubs history but you guys are probably of the same mindset that any team that doesn’t win a title in a given year sucks.

  3. chucky Says:

Fuck division titles. Win the goddamn World Series. You don’t need to win the division to do that.

Let me ask you this Yeti. What is Cubs record in the playoffs after those 3 division titles? It’s a combined 6 and 12.

Atlanta 3-2. Advance to the NLCS.

Florida 3-4. 5 outs away from the World Series and would have made it there if not for Dusty Bakers complete incompetence.

    Arizona 0-3. Completely outclassed.

    Dodgers 0-3. Completely outclassed…..again.

But hell, we won the division, right?

  4. Yeti Says:

You don’t need the division to win titles… thats accurate, I guess. So, you want the Cubs to be the wild card team every year?

“Outclassed”? What the fuck do you even mean by that? You mean a team played better than the Cubs for a full three games both years? How is that outclassed? You understand the teams that win playoff series in the MLB every year are not necessarily the best teams, right? I mean, you know the playoffs are kind of a crapshoot, right? Did Hendry not build a team that was “classy” enough to win the WS? Eh, fuck it, the retardation that spews from your brain has reaches Ronnie Woo Woo levels. You are, seriously, the dumbest dude I have ever seen write shit, and I have read Robert’s partial birth abortion of posts. And you’re a 50 something year old man who watches wrestling? What the fuck are you? Trying to be 12? Do everyone a favor and shut the fuck up. Go whine about these personal attacks. I don’t care. You respect the baseball opinions of a guy who drove a trans am with Taz on the hood and you listen to the opinions of a guy who said the Bulls are the same as the Timberwolves. You’re fucked in life and there is seriously nothing I, or anyone, can do to help you. If there was a god, I would ask him to have mercy on your soul. Instead, you can continue flailing around in life with your gross misconceptions of what is actually happening. Fuck off.

  5. chucky Says:

Oh goddamn are you fucking retarded. Did you even fucking watch the series with Arizona and Los Angeles? Here’s a couple of stats that maybe you overlooked in your haste to insult me.

In the 2007 series with Arizona the Cubs were outscored 16-6. In the 2008 series with the Dodgers they were outscored 18-8. As far as I’m concerned, that’s getting outclassed. Scoring 2 runs and 2.67 runs a game isn’t going to get it done. And your pitching staff doesn’t do you any favors by giving up 5-6 runs per game. For someone who claims to be so fucking smart, you sure do a goddamn great job of hiding it.

    Now you fuck off bitch.

  6. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Chucky…There is no hope for this child. The same child who argued countless times that Kevin Gregg was an awesome pitcher. I wonder what he thinks of Kent Mercker.

Jim Hendry needs to be fired. He has done an awful job and will continue to.

Also Fro, could you please ban Yeti? For a while, I found it humorous that he was posting all of these witty comments. Now, it has become annoying and stale.

  7. chucky Says:

I guess you’re right Matt. I not even going to bother anymore. I’ll save my comments for the rational, sane people here.

What bothers me the most is when he took a shot me for being a wrestling fan. I mean, who the hell cares? I don’t give him any grief over the fact that he enjoys Sirian gay porn.

  8. Yetti Says:

Chucky just used stats on me and pwned my ass! Oh nos!

However, in the 2008 season, they averaged 5.31 runs per game. In 2007, they average 4.64 runs per game. In both of those playoffs, they had a bad series. These things happen when a 162 game season, which clearly shows who the best team is (and the Cubs were in 08, but not 07) decided by a mere 5 game series. An unfortunate set will fuck it up. That has nothing to do with the team, per se. In any given season (even 100 win seasons), one can find at least a few stretches within that season of 3-5 games in which they score less than half their average amount of runs. It happens… But you don’t fucking understand that. I’ve explained this before but it’s been met by deaf ears because you guys refuse to believe anything positive about a season that doesn’t result in a championship. I suppose that’s your prerogative. It’s also you’re prerogative to be willfully retarded.

Chucky, I take potshots at your wrestling because, well, if you can’t understand why I find it ridiculous that a 50+ year old man watches wrestling, then I refer to above.

MSS, I said Gregg was “awesome”? Ok. Let’s also regurgitate something from 2009 all the time. Makes sense.

  9. chucky Says:

When did I say I was over 50? Not to pick the fly shit out of the pepper, but I’m 47. And aren’t you a little old to act like a little petulant assbag.

One more time, I was referring to the playoffs alone. Not the regular season. And yes, you got bitch slapped with stats by a guy who is
“willfully retarded”. Guess you’ll just have to deal with that.

You may now return to your Sirian gay porn collection.

  10. genrebuster Says:

Hendry should have been fired after the 2004 season, along with Dusty.

    Yeti…4 questions:

    1. The Cubs haven’t won a World Series in 103 years…are you ok with that?

    2. Do you honestly believe that Hendry still deserves to be GM, given the “reign of Dusty”, the bloated guaranteed contracts and Milton Bradley (I’ll stop there)?

    3. How old are YOU?

    4. To date, what do you think of Ricketts as an owner?

If you feel the need to respond as a childish twink, please spare me and keep it to yourself.

  11. Fro Dog Says:

Missed free throws, dumb turnovers, stupid shots…

  12. Pie in the Sky Says:

Back-to-back playoff appearances for 1st time since 1907-1908
First postseason series victory since 1908
3 playoff appearances in one decade in first time since the 1930s.

Just based on the Cubs past history, he could be worse. However, I’m ready for them to blow this team up and start rebuilding. I don’t think that’s happening under Hendry because he’s desperate to win now or else be fired. I Really don’t want anymore signings like Carlos Pena or trading a bunch of our top 16 prospects for a borderline 4-ERA pitcher

  13. Yeti Says:

    1. No
    2. Eh, it’s not like the Cubs have been like the Pirates. There are far worse GMs out there. If they don’t happen to turn it around this year, I’ll support his ousting. I’m just not itching for it to happen.
    3. 25
    4. I try not to think about him. It makes life better.

    That sincere enough for you?

  14. genrebuster Says:

Yes, Yeti…Thank You. I agree that there are worse GM’s out there…and they all deserve to lose their jobs.

Pie, I understand your position. I, too am ready for the Cubs to be blown up and start rebuilding. Ricketts had a golden opportunity to do that already, too bad he’s dragging his feet…

As for the Bulls, they got beat by a better team. Their offense needs work…Rose can’t do it all, just like MJ couldn’t. They are a young team that will learn from the experience (I think/hope) but there should be some moves made in the offseason…

  15. genrebuster Says:

Matt, now that you mention it, it is hard to believe that Hendry has held onto his job for nearly a decade. Yet, even harder to fathom 103 years of no WS championship.

Even harder to believe is that the Chicago Cubs fanbase is ok with this…yet, the sheeple will continue to flock to Wrigley at what may be yet another record-breaking pace…

  16. Matt Stairs Superfan Says:

Go figure. Yeti says he’s 25 yet he acts half his age. He’s right about Pittsburgh and them not being the same. To my knowledge they have at least a won a World Series or two in the last 100 years.

He also says “If they don’t turn it around, I’ll support his ousting”. Newsflash sir…They aren’t going to turn it around. As Genre said, he should have been gone a long time ago.

Last thing Genre…The attendance has been less than stellar so far. With the holiday coming up, I would be more than happy to see the urinal known as Wrigley half-empty on a sunny, 85 degree day.

  17. Christopher K. Says:

Doug Davis sucks donkey shlong, all night long.

  18. Pie in the Sky Says:

It’s okay, Christopher K. Rodrigo Lopez is coming in for the rescue!

  19. chucky Says:

    Rodrigo Lopez?

    Goddamn this team is doomed.

  20. genrebuster Says:

For those of you who may have missed it from other thread, I wanted to repost this here….

This guy has a point…(read on):

Brad Who?? Who the **** is Brad Snyder? This is probably the worst Cubs season I can remember in years. Everyone is hurt, they still can’t beat the damn Pirates, the bullpen is worn out before June because the starters are awful, Ramirez has one homer, the backup-backup CF is out, the manager is mentally handicapped, the general manager is useless, Crane somehow still has a job, no one goes to the games, no one likes the broke new owner, the team stinks, the defense is the worst I’ve ever seen and someone thought handing a mic to Zonk Moreland was a good idea. What’s next? Oh, wait, I know what’s next. Hendry will be charged with rebuilding the very mess he made because the owner either can’t afford to fire him or is too stupid to.

    User ID:

  21. chucky Says:

Sure glad we got Rodrigo Lopez! He sure looked great out there today. This guy has Cy Young award winning stuff.

    Or maybe he’s just serviceable.

Translation: Thanks for stopping by Rodrigo. Now go back to AA where you belong, douche.

  22. genrebuster Says:

Man, somebody pull the plug!!!!!!!! Please…………

Truly PATHETIC, all the way around.

Watch out when those stellar teams, the Pirates and Astros come to town…..

  23. erniesarmy Says:

“(Lopez) was fine,” Cubs manager Mike Quade said. “Look, I’m not here to make excuses or anything like that, but it is a tough place to pitch under these conditions. We actually have been dying for these conditions.”

Here’s another “serviceable” genius the Cubs found under a box in the trash.

Seriously, where do they find these guys?

  24. chucky Says:

Yeah, and the genius that I am, I wanted them to hire Quade. But I’ll tell you something I did notice. The shit that Quade has spewed of late, it sure does sound like Lou and Dusty doen’t it? What is the one common denominator in all of this? That’s right, it’s Jim Hendry. Maybe throw in a dose of Clown Kenney as well. It makes me wonder if they aren’t actually trying to run this fucking team from their upstairs office.

And didn’t Tom Fanboy Ricketts look cute out there in the bleachers with Len and Bob today. What a douche. Completely in over his head. He hasn’t got a fucking clue.

  25. Jimmy D. Says:

You used the word stellar to describe the Pirates and Astros. For me, the word that immediately pops into my head when I hear those 2 team names is “juggernaut”. At least that’s what the Cubs make them look like when they square off against them.

    In your own words….PATHETIC!!!

    Jimmy D.

  26. erniesarmy Says:

I’m just as dumb, Chucky, I too thought Quade would at least be an upgrade over the “Whadda want me to do” clown, but …

    103 years and beyond!

  27. MadCityMac Says:

Quade, correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t both teams pitching in these same “conditions”? Asshole. Fire Moe Hendry now, along with Crane Kenney, and I just might come back to the fold.

  28. genrebuster Says:

Really, all these idiots with fanboy Rickets leading the way make me sick. I can’t believe it but I’m on the verge of hating this fucking team.

Kenney & Hendry are inept jagoffs who have bought this organization to it’s collective knees.

Was Ricketts castrated upon purchasing the Cubs? Or is he just clueless?
