22-10 first round, 10-6 second round, but I still have all my Final Four teams left. Fortunately, I found out that Fab Melo was out before I turned in my bracket, so instead of Syracuse beating Marquette to win the whole thing, I have them losing to my Badgers this Thursday, then I hope like hell I’m wrong about the Badgers losing to Ohio State to get to the Final Four.
I was 23-9 in the first round, and 11-5 in the second. My Final Four is still in place, however I didn’t catch the news on Fab Melo until after my bracket was submitted…so, I’ve got Syracuse beating our Badgers tomorrow night…then, beating Ohio State to get to the Final Four (losing to North Carolina). The teams I missed on in Round 2 were Duke and Missouri (of course), as well as my VCU Rams, Georgetown and Florida State. The good news (for me) is that I had all 5 of those teams losing in Round 3 anyway. I was the only one in either of my brackets to have Ohio making it to the Sweet Sixteen.
The Bears signed Michael Bush (by cracky) today. It was a four year deal from what I heard on the radio. This is a great signing in my opinion. The Bears will thankfully say bye to Marion Barber.
I am not sure they are done with free agents yet but the draft will be here in a month and they can possibly resolve most of the other issues there.
Well, my bracket is officially destroyed. I had Marquette winning the whole damn thing, the Badgers just missing the Final Four, and Sparty making the Final Four. Fuck….
Mine is pretty much destroyed as well. I still have UNC and Syracuse in the Final Four but who knows how long they’ll still be playing. I have found myself to be less and less interested in college sports in the last year or two so March Madness is about all I care about now. I guess that’s what happens when the Illini suck in both football and basketball.
Fro….did you do a bracket for the Tournament of Bad? I just found out I picked the winner. Not that the winner was in any doubt. I knew this had to be the winner before the tourny even started There was no other choice.
I haven’t listened to The Score much lately but I did see who won. I still think the past years had better selections but this one was still pretty good. The state of Pennsylvania should be ashamed of themselves for all the crap that happened with Sandusky.
I had Michigan State beating Marquette in the West finals, Oh, well, so much for the West bracket. Otherwise, my other 6 Elite Eight finalists are in place.
Mac, I don’t know if you watched the MSU and Marquette games the other night, but I was stunned at how poorly the Spartans and Warriors, er…Golden Eagles…played; it looked like the players were playing like it was their first game together. In the infinite words of wisdom from Genrebuster…Pathetic!
……I hear that Sean Marshall may be the new Red’s closer (?). I hope he files for a Restraining Order against the toothpick chomping idiot. Good luck making it through the season unscathed!
Jimmy, didn’t see those games, but heard they were butt-ugly. And I STILL call Marquette the Warriors! Incredibly, depending on whether anybody at the bar took Louisville to win the whole thing, I still have a shot if Kansas wins this game right now. I have all 3 of the other Final Four teams right, and if nobody took Louisville, I have shot, but probably not.

Fro….not just Sandusky. The bullshit worship of Joe Paterno was and still is disgusting. Idiots.
