DVX…..He was. The Cubs dealt him to Boston early in the year(maybe in spring training? I don’t remember for sure.) and Boston let him go a couple of weeks ago. He is currently without a team.
Did any of you guys see Travis Woods batting helmet? Someone must have pulled a rib on him. The “C” on the front of the helmet was pushed up to the top of the helmet! And the camera zoomed in on it!
Some funny shit there!
Thanks for the help on the info on Byrd, Pie. I really didn’t feel like looking it up either.
…and this is where I have my lovely ladies sporting tight fitting Chicago Fire jerseys and spandex shorts strolling around Wrigleyville and the outskirts of Wrigley Field, handing out flyers: “Half-price on tickets and concessions to any Cubs fans who show up to the next Fire home game wearing Cubs gear!!!”
I want to see a Fire home game on TV with half the stands filled with Cubs fans in self-imposed exile…enjoying themselves and cheering on a TEAM BUILT TO WIN.
What? Like Fanboy’s gonna do anything? Puh-leezze!

Ladies and gentlemen….I give you….the value of Carlos Marmol as the Chicago Cubs closer.
Well done genre.

Marlon Byrd just drew himself a 50 day suspension for testing positive for PEDs.
Nice guy, and, apparently, a dumbass.

I’m too lazy to check…is Byrd a Cub?

Not now… thank god.

The Cubs traded him to Boston for Michael Bowden around April 21 after he was hitting something like .070. Red Sox eventually cut him too.

OK, Jeff Samardzija is officially on my “sucks massive amounts of dick” list, and he’s not coming off anytime soon.
Casey Coleman continues to fucking “suck massive amounts of dick”. That shitstain will NEVER come off that list.

Man, when Samardzija sucks, he SUCKS.

OMG!!! I just had to go to the Cubs homepage to read about this debacle. The comments were fucking hilarious; here’s a couple of examples:
Who knows if they actually won in 1908 , no one is alive that might remember!!
“Oh, no…they say he’s got to go – Go! Go! Smardzilla”
Thank God that there’s something funny to laugh about…rather than laugh at!!! How in the fuck did we become so cursed that we are Cubs fans???
Later,
Jimmy D.
