Squeaking out a victory.

by

Bennett

This game wasn’t spectacular, but the Bears barely won. They should have won by two touchdowns but I digress at this point. The offense did just enough and the defense nearly blew it but made the plays when needed.

Offense: How many times do I have to say in a recap that Mike Tice is an idiot? Forte gets a nice run or two on a drive and then after, he calls passing plays. RUN THE FUCKING BALL YOU DUMBASS. Instead, Cutler is airing it out like he has the 1999 Rams offense. There were dropped passes all over the place including a would-be Kellen Davis touchdown in the second half. Any coach with half of a brain knows that Kellen Davis can’t catch a football. Marshall was taken out of this game but Earl Bennett stepped up getting a touchdown early in the game to give the Bears the lead. With all of the turnovers the defense had, the Bears should have scored a lot more than they did.

Defense: Despite forcing all of those turnovers, they turned into garbage right before the end of the first half by letting Matthew Stafford drive the Lions down the field and cutting the lead to 20-10 at halftime. To make matters worse, it was 20-3 at one point and it became 20-17 and 26-24 thanks to the defense refusing to cover anybody that was trying to make a catch. Once again though, when it was on the line, the defense made a stop. Tim Jennings did his part and so did Tillman at crucial times. You won’t see them making the big plays against better teams but we all know that. Anyway, enough with the “prevent” shit already. It doesn’t work.

Special Teams: Olindo Mare sucks. A 43-yard field goal indoors with the ball in the middle of the field should be made even by the shittiest of kickers. But here’s some good news: No holding or illegal block in the back penalties.

Well, unless the Vikings pull out a miracle, and as of right now they’re up 3-0, the execution of Lovie Baker gets delayed one week.

    FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Fro Dog Says:

Lovie Smith will be fired tomorrow. I have no inside sources. It would just be appropriate.

  3. chucky Says:

    Let the bloodletting begin……

And Adrian Peterson is a fucking beast. Well done.

  4. Fro Dog Says:

No shit. And what were the Packers thinking letting Ponder throw a 20 yard pass on 3rd and long after the 2:00 warning? It looked like something the Bears usually do. Rodgers did everything he could to win that game but the defense was horrendous.

  5. genrebuster Says:

    Adrian Peterson is the man.

I don’t see how Lovie can keep his job, after all those “non-must win” games that they blew…but I said the same about Dusty back in the day…many times.

A fitting end to a miserable season with.a shitty head coach…from a 7-1 start to missing the playoffs.

Somebody send up some smoke signals when Lovie is fired so I can start giving a crap about the Bears again.

How happy is Jay Cutler? I bet he is angry.

  6. chucky Says:

Green Bay didn’t play like a team wanting to get a bye in the playoffs. They played like a Lovie Smith coached team. I don’t get it. But in all honesty, this was the scenario I was hoping for. All those games that the Bears lost that Lovie said were not “must-win for us” all of a sudden just became important….now. If they had just won one of those games, they would be in the playoffs. Nice going you arrogant son-of-a-bitch. You just coached your sorry, stupid, ignorant ass right out of a job. Way to go, dipshit.

  7. Spete123 Says:

Does anyone really think the fucking bears deserve to be in the playoffs? I never seen such a shitty offense in my life. I just hope lovie’s gone this week, mike fat fucking tice to! Let’s see if this team is serious about winning, time will tell.

  8. Fro Dog Says:

    Scott,

If you were Jay Cutler, you would be an asshole too. Every game, he almost gets his neck ripped off. At other times, he has less than three seconds to throw the ball so you know his head must be spinning every time. I don’t blame him one bit. Emery will address the offensive line first in the draft.

  9. chucky Says:

    Spete…No, I don’t. And I don’t think Lovie should stay either.

  10. genrebuster Says:

Spete, Fro, chucky…you’re all correct. I don’t blame Cutler one bit…in fact, I believe the Bears are lucky to have him.

A loss is always a bummer to real winners…Green Bay may really regret not winning today as they now have a rematch with Adrian Peterson and the Vikings next week.

  11. genrebuster Says:

As for that PATHETIC imposter Lovie Smith: NO game is a must win when you face ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for doing a SHITTY job! I’m tired of his message.

  12. montanabearsfan Says:

JUST WORTHLESS, STUPID STUPID STUPID …SMITH

  13. DVXPrime Says:

    Happily adding onto the pile-on…

Never mind Lovie Lee’s “body of work” and the ever-so-hollow 10-6 record that DOESN’T include a playoff berth. Of the five NFC teams that clinched playoff berths (so far), the Bears got stomped by the 49ers (in which Lovie admitted he wasn’t prepared), swept by the Packers (sixth straight series loss, second time Packers win a division title/Super Bowl berth at Soldier Field), split with the Vikes (should have been a sweep, but noooo!) and lost at home to the Seahawks (rookie QB channels Bernie Kosar on the tired-ass D, again at Soldier Field). That’s five of the bears six losses, four of which didn’t have to happen.

Lovie never addressed the personnel issues during the offseason, nor did he or his coaches try to fit a winnable stratgey with the players they had. The excuses coming from Lovie and Teddy-bear at the press conferences have become one long ongoing broken record ever since the Super Bowl loss.

Speaking of coaches, who the hell will hire Marinelli or Tice as head coaches again after their efforts with the bears?

Speaking of coaches, part two: FUCK THE ROONEY RULE.

Lovie had nine years. He had this year to pull it all together. 10-6 could have been at least 13-3 (SEA-GB-@MIN).

Mike Singletary? Take a look at the 49ers during his year-plus, then look at the first year-plus with John Harbaugh. Vive le difference! Remember the pants dropping press conference? Next…

Raheem Morris? In his second season, he lost the Buccaneers after the debacle in London. The Buccaneers got blown out in most of their games after London. Next…

Hue Jackson? Al Davis’ last head coaching hire? He engineered the Carson Palmer trade w/o the Raiders’ consent; they’ll be digging out of that hole for years. Palmer finished the season being carried off the field on a stretcher. Next…

Romeo Crennel? Between coaching gigs at Cleveland and Kansas City, he can’t develop a quarterback. How many QBs has be been through in six-plus years? How many of them are still with the browns and/or the Chiefs? How many of them are starting or got some snaps today?

NFL teams are multimillion dollar businesses; you don’t turn the keys over to some dumbass if he can’t prove that he can’t hadle the job. Bottom line; if you can’t demonstrate that 1) you have a plan for finding and developing talent to play in the NFL, 2) you don’t have an offensive AND a defensive strategy, plus applicable in-game tatctics, 3) you can’t innovate and or/think on the fly when shit goes sideways on you, 4) you can’t find a balace between motivating and disciplining your players, and 5) you can’t demonstrate this when you interview for the head-coaching position, the FUCK YOU. YOU DON’T DESERVE TO BE A HEAD COACH IN THE NFL.

IT’S NOT RACISM, IT’S CALLED RUNNING A BUSINESS AND COMMON FUCKING SENSE. WE ELECTED OBAMA TWICE. IF NO BALCKS GET HIRED AS NFL HEAD COACHES THE WORLD WILL NOT END. DEAL WITH IT.

  14. grouchymarx Says:

Lovie is the our own ‘Marv Levy’. Nice guy, gets you close but never over the top. HE HAS TO GO.
Unfortunately we are not ruled by football minds. That ended with the Halas family. The lucky sperm club McCaskey family is all business. Somehow the Mara family, the Roony families etc find a way to win over time. Not us, we keep filling the seats and their wallets.

Not to mention Lovie is a racist. Check out his video on YouTube for “African American NFL’ers for Obama” Can you imagine the uproar if a white coachs did the same??

  15. Sanity now. Says:

Can we get the racial and political bullshit out of here please?! Black coaches have won super bowls and coached shitty teams. Most white coaches are shitty and have never won a super bowl. Jesus fucking christ!!! Black people supported Obama? No shit?! Whatta fucking scoop! If they weren’t busy being so fucking racist, they would have supported Romney, who definitely was concerned about black people-like making sure they didn’t live in his neighborhood or scratch his car valet parking it.

  16. Fro Dog Says:

I agree. Enough with this garbage. I don’t give a shit if the coach is purple. Bring me a fucking Super Bowl trophy to my favorite city in the world. That’s all I care about.

  17. grouchymarx Says:

The YouTube video is real. That is a racist move.

  18. genrebuster Says:

Sanity, I hear you…unfortunately there are many ignorant fucks in the world. To them, I say baaaaahh baaaaaaaahh baaaaaaaaaah

In my world RMoney is a total douchebag…btw, I am white and not a racist.

Lovie needs to go, end of story.
