From today’s game notes (ESPN): Game Notes
“The Cubs called up reliever Rafael Dolis from Triple-A Iowa. Shawn Camp and James Russell are possible closers. Manager Dale Sveum said he won’t use Marmol, who has a 12.27 ERA. Fujikawa (1-0, 12.46 ERA) said he felt discomfort in his forearm the last couple of days, but considers it a short-term injury. He said the injury has sidelined him for about 10 days in the past.”

Yeah, I saw that it was to be “closer by committee”, but Marmol wasn’t to be in that committee. Maybe Sveum isn’t all that dumb after all. Keep in mind that Marmol is Moe Hendrys doing. That son-of-a-bitch is just the gift that keeps on shitting all over you.

Give Marmol a few more clean outings… just like last year when he was initially demoted. He’ll get his job back, unfortunately.

Pie……hopefully you are wrong.
As a Cub, Marmol is DOOOOOOOOOOMED.

Guys, this is not a joke: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/chi-chicago-cubs-sign-veteran-reliever-kevin-gregg-to-minor-league-deal-20130414,0,5779033.story

Guys,
I’m sorry, but I just don’t think I can do this anymore. What kind of insane retardation could possibly be going on in the minds of our Front Office? These fucking guys are making our politicians look like rocket scientists! I’ve been a fan of this team for more than 40 years…and, maybe it’s time to just throw in the towel. If the people in charge don’t give a shit…neither should we!!!
Later,
Jimmy D.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse Kevin Gregg has been signed
April 14, 2013 at 1:50 pm
That’s fucking it!!!!!!!!!! I’ve goddamned had it up to my fucking eyeballs with the fucking Cubs!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin FUCKING Gregg???? Are you fucking serious???? Jesus fucking Christ Hoyer!!!!!!!!! What in the fucking goddamned hell are you doing? I don’t give a goddamn that he’s signed a minor league contract. That’s a spot that could and should go to a more deserving prospect, not a motherfucking shitstain cocksucker like Kevin FUCKING Gregg!!!!!!!!. Don’t you know the fucking difference between a decent relief pitcher and goddamned hack whose only purpose is to serve up fucking goddamned batting practice? If that cocksucker shows his retarded fucking goggles wearing face in Wrigley somebody better drop a goddmned a-bomb there. GOD-FUCKING-DAMMIT ALL TO FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s one thing to admit that this team will suck dog shit for a few years while the front office tries to clean out the shit left behind by Moe Hendry. But JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!!!!!!!! Don’t fucking repeat the same goddamned mistakes Hendry made!!!! SON-OF-A-FUCKING-BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 14, 2013 at 2:52 pm
Fellow people…does the front office not remember what happened years ago when he played? I’ll say it again…
Those who cannot remember the past are DOOMED to repeat it.
April 14, 2013 at 4:22 pm
Holy hell. I made a joke about them re-signing K. Gregg in an article a few days ago. Sure as hell didn’t think they’d actually do it. That’s just dumb.
April 14, 2013 at 4:51 pm
And a tip of the cap to one Shawn Camp.
Another in a looooooooooong line of completely useless assclown Cub pitchers. Fucking moron.
April 14, 2013 at 5:47 pm
Is this getting old…or what? PATHETIC. BARF.
April 14, 2013 at 5:58 pm
… Cubs almost win! Cubs almost win!
April 14, 2013 at 6:49 pm
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha …wait, that’s not funny 😉
April 14, 2013 at 6:49 pm
It’s good to know that our team is out of contention by tax day for the 100th time in the last 105 years. So I guess now we can start talking about who we can trade for spare parts. My suggestion…an entirely new bullpen staff. Kevin Gregg? What…Latroy wasn’t available?
Meet the new regime…same as the old one.
April 14, 2013 at 7:14 pm
If this team had any defense or a reliable 9th inning man, they’d be 7-5, even 8-4 now.
But they don’t. So…

Choke Cubs choke!
Choke Cubs choke!
Hey Chicago what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna lose today!
April 15, 2013 at 8:28 am

4-18-2013: Former Cubs closer Carlos Marmol pitched a perfect ninth in a non-save situation.
KEY WORDS: “non-save situation”.
