….from our good friend Matt Stairs Superfan:
“Congratulations to Tim Lincecum for throwing a no-hitter. You see..he wins Cy Young awards, then has a couple of bad years but has found a way to bounce back even with his team below .500…yet he still finds a way to throw a no-hitter.
You see everyone how a pitcher can bounce back with the correct mentality unlike some other pitcher who blows saves like they are going out of style and then, has the balls to tell the media that it’s the fans fault for not supporting him…take notes Carlos”.
When it comes to signing – and hanging onto far too long — worthless bums, over-rated has-beens, and psychotic assholes; seems to me that the Cubs dis-organization has arguably proven to be second to none, in the history of MLB.

Tim Lincecum is a PRO. Marmol is a hack, a loser, a BUM.
I’d rather see a young arm getting an opportunity to pitch, rather than Kevin F. Gregg.
Too bad Theo hasn’t gotten rid of all the has-beens. Many have posted that they should have blown this toilet of a team up 2 years ago; I agree. They are going nowhere this year and it doesn’t matter how many games they win.
Does anybody miss Lil Z? I sure as hell don’t. How about A-Ram? Not me. How about Milton F. Bradley? What a piece of crap. The list goes on and on: CRAP Cub players galore. Almost forgot: how’s Jim D. Hendry doing?
Please…feel free to share your favorites here; it will be more entertaining than the crap Ricketts has dished out since he bought the team, and dragged his heels for too long….

Genre…..While I agree that Lincecum deserves praise for his no-hitter, I won’t go overboard with it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you did. You mentioned Zambrano. He pitched the last Cubs no-hitter, and went even more batshit crazy than ever after that game. Lincecum isn’t a lunatic. That’s the difference between the two.
July 14, 2013 at 7:32 pm
I understand, chucky. Another difference is that Lincecum has performed well under enormous pressure; when it REALLY mattered.
As for Zambrano, and other Cubs “Stars”….well, you be the judge.
As Fro is fond of saying: Cue Yeti.

I see that goggle-wearing idiot lost it…what a loser..seriously, is there not ONE guy in the minors that is better than him? If the answer is no, we’re screwed as fans..as if we weren’t before!!!
July 15, 2013 at 12:43 am
I thought the Cubs were going to trade that dildo before he started fucking up?!
July 15, 2013 at 7:18 am
Even if there isn’t one guy better than the serviceable idiot…just give somebody else an opportunity to pitch. I am so fucking over this BULLSHIT.
July 15, 2013 at 8:00 am
Just keep in mind where they found that four eyed cocksucker when they picked him up. THE GODDAMNED UNEMPLOYMENT LINE!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dodgers had cut him. He was sitting on his fucking ass at home when the Cubs came along. Moe Hoyer just had to have him. Doesn’t seem to bother Stale Sveum, which is starting(?) to piss me off.
The Cubs have four days to do a lot. If guys Gregg, Garza, and Soriano is still on the team by Friday then that will tell how serious they are. And that is not very serious.
July 15, 2013 at 8:30 am
There is NOTHING more to LOSE…blow it up now and get what you can. Can’t wait for Soriano and Gregg to be gone; too bad it doesn’t make sense to keep Garza at this time.
What about Castro? Thoughts?
July 15, 2013 at 12:10 pm
Deal Castro as soon as you can too. I said that last week. That guy will be a major problem down the road, mark my words. They might be able to get something for him now because he’s only 23 years old, and he does have about 3 years of experience. But the signs are beginning to surface that he will be a mjor headcase in less than 5 years.
Quite frankly, I don’t see anybody on this team that is “untouchable”. That includes Castro, Barney, Samardzija, or anybody else you can name. I’m not sold on Rizzo either. He’s OK, but he sure as hell hasn’t lived up to the bullshit hype we were fed last year. The only posible exception might be Travis Wood. I would consider keeping him.
July 16, 2013 at 12:32 am
The longer Theo waits to trade away everyone that is being demanded, the less he gets in return. Two weeks until the deadline and a bulk of the players are still left. That includes Castro. Trade all you can and get as many pitchers as possible. Note to the idiots at Clark and Addison: HURRY THE FUCK UP AND GET THESE TRADES DONE.
July 16, 2013 at 12:16 pm
AMEN.
July 17, 2013 at 9:57 am
lol. Boers and Bernstein were just talking about how this guy was washed up that Friday – because he threw his arm too much. What a bunch of idiots.
July 24, 2013 at 5:34 am
Well, Lincecum followed up the no hitter by getting rocked by the Reds 11-0. So, there’s that.
