Well, here are we are with another season about to begin for the Bears. I will be at the game Sunday along with our good friends from Fire Ron Turner. This is also another year where I will be contributing photos for their sister site and the most important one on the internet, Drunk Bear Fans. So please, take a minute to check out both of those links. You won’t will regret it. Before I forget, the recap will be Sunday night or Monday at the latest.
Anything else you guys want to talk about, feel free. Have a good weekend everybody.

We Bears fans finally have something to be excited about. A professional head football coach, a championship caliber coaching staff (every assistant has enjoyed success in winning programs), Jay Cutler is out of excuses….we should see QUALITY Championship caliber Bears football this year! I for one can’t wait!
So Ny Jets or Dallas Cowboys-they are the only two organizations with management incompetent enough to hire the incompetent inept imbecile that is Lovie Smith. Which does he end up coaching next year?
Well Done Phil Emery-Well Done

Ed, I am on board with you 100%. I think Laurence Holmes said it on The Score today that Trestman is actually answering questions honestly in press conferences unlike the moron before him. I am sure everyone here who finally saw someone other than Lovie Lee Smith on the sidelines in those preseason games felt like doing cartwheels in the streets. That’s how excited we should be. This team should be better.

Tommy Rees will be a good quarterback…in the Canadian Football League.

I will make this the final post re Tim Tebow:
I accept the fact that his numbers for the Patriots were shitty and warranted him being cut; totally not arguing that. I get that his playoff run was over two years ago; not gonna argue that either.
But if he’s gone because of asshats like Dan Bernstein (whom I once listened to while on the afternoon drives while I was on recruiting duty, but now I think he’s just a liberal dick), well I’ve got three words for Berny and the rest of the morons who bitch about the players being baby- machines, drunks, and criminals, then blast Tebow for-OMFG-beliveing in that whole God and religion thingy:
AARON. FUCKING. HERNANDEZ.
Oh, and fuck you too, Berny:

Little Danny Bernstein, I use to listen to that shit stain mouthy prick too, I noticed he use to be fine about 10 years ago until Boers took a couple vacations and he started mouthing off to boost ratings without uncle Terry around to keep him in check and stuck with it. Im pretty sure he has bodyguards in public from the amount of people his pissed of directly or indirectly.
Getting excited to watch some football. I still think we dont have the right quarterback but we will see, by the way Peyton Manning is on pace for 112 touchdowns this season!

I’ve got a couple of things to say about that entire station. Right now as I type, the Bears are playing their seson opener against the Bengals. And what do we get from them, programming wise? THE GODDAMNED WHITE SOX!?!?
The station signed a contract to broadcast Sox games about one second after the 2005 World Series. Can we all say bandwagon jumpers? They wouldn’t have gone after those broadcast rights if they didn’t get into the WS. Now, the Sox suck worse than the Cubs, and they’re contractually obligated to do some bullshit pre-game show, a completely meaningless baseball game, and post game show that is going to eventually make Chris Rongey commit suicide from all the retarded phone calls he has to deal with. Just how many people really give a crap about the Sox today? Maybe 3 people total? STUPID MOVE!
Second is the on-air talent(?). Dan McNeil has become a shell of himself. He’s become completely horrible. I’ve never seen how Speigal stays on the air, he’s that bad. Laurence Holmes comes across as a smarmy know-it-all. I can’t stand him or his show. Mulligan and Hanley are not too bad, but I won’t lose any sleep if I miss them. Rosenbloom on Saturday mornings is really good actually. Terry Boers shtick has grown as old as he has. He can still be good when he wants too, it just doesn’t seem like he wants to anymore. The childish, goofy voices are dumb. Bernstein is that catagory too. He can be good when he wants, but he needs to stop being such a damned bully. He just loves to steamroll over anybody who doesn’t agree with him. What I’d like to know is how he was able to learn everything there is to learn in universe in just 40+ years.
Bottom line is that radio station needs a lot of help. They made some good moves(In my opinion, some may not agree) in dumpimg Mike North and Mike Murphy, two guys I couldn’t stand. But they’ve done some real stupid shit too, like letting a guy I really liked in Jason Goff go to Atlanta, and hiring back McNeil. And the White Sox games just speak for itself. Dumbest programming decision in history.
That is just my opinion on the subject. I’m not looking to start World War 3 again on this topic. Everybodys taste in radio personalities is different. I don’t know who is right and who isn’t.

Goddamn, my spelling has gone into the shitter!
Seson? Let’s try “season” instead. Sorry.
By the way, I want to throw Doug Buffone and Ed O’Bradovich on the positive side of the ledger. Those guys are the only ones I will listen to after a Bear game. Especially if they play like crap. I love Buffones passion and rage. I can certainly relate to that.
