And six years later, according to some, I am still the worst.

Six years ago, I didn’t have a plan.

Today, I still don’t have a plan.

Six years ago today, this site was created on a whim. I didn’t have any expectations. I was just throwing shit against a wall and praying it would stick. Some are still here. Others, have vanished for various reasons. And we have had some new guys join us from time to time.

It’s not just once year that I thank all of you guys and gals. It’s many days. However, I make it a big deal on this day because back then, there were millions of websites just like this and today, there are many more. When I check the amount of visits from different people on the site, there are many more people who read us but don’t comment. Maybe because they think we’re lunatics and are afraid of joining in on the discussion, or maybe they just read for fun. So for those ones who just read it, thanks as well.

I think the best part of this site is when times are really shitty in our sports’ lives, some of you post links to funny things or make a joke about the situation. It won’t change what has happened, but it helps a bit at moments. For me, personally, I tend to live under the radar in my real world. I have never had Facebook or Twitter so this site is a place that I go to on a regular basis.

I do have a special thanks to Genrebuster for helping out here over the last few years. He once said, “we get results”. And while it may not be solely because of us, no one can argue the actual stats (cue Yeti). Five assholes in Chicago sports that we have wanted gone are out. Sadly, there are many more to come. And we’ll be here to cater to those who need us the most.

Yeah. We’re lunatics. But remind yourself that there are others just like you out there and some of them are here.

Thank you.

Happy Anniversary my fitness freindt! And once again, thank YOU for providing this forum so that I can vent my rage and anger at the world without having to worry about getting arrested for doing it. You are the one guy who is responsible for keeping me out of prison!

Fro…I wish for you the happiest of birthdays. They are all worth celebrating.

Thank You for the opportunity to participate. The original firedustybaker site that bobbyd created gave so many Cubs fans a long overdue opportunity to vent publicly.

I’m happy that you started this site, and kept things going after bobbyd disappeared (almost as mysteriously as Jimmy Hoffa(.

The range of content has expanded mightily and give the futility of the Cubs that’s a good thing.

I’ll do my best to contribute on a consistent basis….sometimes it’s tough, given my insane schedule(s).

Thanks to all who stop in to read, and Many Thanks to those who contribute here.

that should have been: “given” the futility of the Cubs…

Fro, Will you email me about that Raw show the end of September? They just went on sale,I’m interested in going and need to figure out the details if you still want to go and can score tickets.

  9. dvxprime Says:

FroDog, thank you for providing the opportunity (and sometimes the justification) to vent our frustration on Chicago sports. After your scare earlier this spring I am also glad you are alive and doing just fine. Here’s to another year!

  10. Fro Dog Says:

    CS, check your email.

DVX, I appreciate the words. And when you get back to Chicago, let us know. By the way, the Chicago Fire keep blowing games away. Just hearing about them falling apart late in games makes me ANGRY. They need the PASSION.

  11. chucky Says:

Goddamned Edwin FUCKING Jackoff, stinking up Dodger Stadium today. What in the goddamned hell is with “Ricky” Diarrhea trotting out this useless sack of fucking dog shit every five days. Jesus jumping fucking shitballs, he’s giving Kevin FUCKING Gregg a run for his money in the total ass sucking department. I’m really starting to hate that fucker as much as I hated that blind shit stain who left last year all hurt and angry that nobody wanted him. Useless asshole.

  12. genrebuster Says:

    The stench is unbearable.

  13. Pie in the Sky Says:

Still can’t believe Cubs gave him 4 yr / 52M. He wasn’t good even before he came to Chicago. I think he pitched for like six teams before he turned 28. That tells you nobody wanted him, hence him being a journeyman. Plus he mostly had super high ERAs.

  14. Cubs Bears Sox Suck Says:

Javier Baez gets to blay big boy ball tonight. Hes supposed to be the future of the organization. What do ya think genrebuster? Can we get a bbaaahhhh??

  15. chucky Says:

Travis Wood……continuing to bring the suck. Can’t they ship this loser out too? I’ve seen enough of this “serviceable” bum.

  16. genrebuster Says:

….what future? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

  17. Cubs Bears Sox Suck Says:

Baez went 1 for 6 had 3 SO and 2 of them with runners in scoring position. He did get a RBI. Did a little research on Baez and this is what I found….

In 4 years in the Minors he is batting a smoking .278… Now his ONLY year in AAA he is even worse batting .260 OBP .336 .323 in AAA again worse…
In 4 years he has managed to strike out 350 times, 130 times in AAA THIS YEAR ALONE. To put that into prospective he strikes out 25.9% of his plate appearances..

AT Shortstop his fielding % is .942
    At 2B his Fielding % is .976
    Career Fielding % .944

So he can’t field a ball worth shit and he strikes out pretty much once per game..

Sounds like a Cubby for life! They should give him a 20 year deal worth (Insert Dr. Evil with pinky on lip) 1 BILLION DOLLARS!

DENVER — The Chicago Cubs’ future looks bright even if their present is a little disappointing.

Rookie Javier Baez hit two more homers and drove in four runs, leading Kyle Hendricks and the Cubs to a 6-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Thursday.

The Cubs’ 21-year-old prized prospect became the first MLB player with three homers in his first three games since Joe Cunningham in 1954.

He also became the first Cubs player since 1900 to post a multihomer game in his first three games.

Baez, who also had an RBI single, homered in his debut Tuesday, hitting a game-deciding shot in the 12th inning on the day he was promoted from the minors.

“It didn’t surprise me too much,” said Hendricks, who had the best outing of his short career. “I’ve seen it for a couple of years and he always thrives on the big stage. Whenever we play in a big game he does well.”
