Bears cut Jay Ratliff after “heated” argument with Ryan Pace; Lake Forest Police called to Halas Hall

Well, Jay Ratliff was released by the Bears the other day. According to several reports, Lake Forest Police were called to Halas Hall because Ratliff was angry. I am not sure if his anger reached Chucky-like levels, but many are saying he has been showing up out of shape and “unfit”. Police were called to escort him away.

Until now, I had no idea that Ratliff had issues with players/management. Word is that he had a similar heated argument with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. He’s been a good player but couldn’t stay healthy throughout his career. His three-game suspension to start the season didn’t help his his cause and it hurt the team.

I think Eddie Goldman has played so well at nose tackle. Every since switching to a 3-4, the Bears have extra depth on the line and were able to trade Jared Allen and now, release Ratliff.

And let’s not forget what’s most important here: The Bears cannot and will not lose this Sunday.

I heard that Ratliff was under the influence of something too. He was told to leave, and came back in 2 or 3 times. That must have played a role in this too.

Chucky-level anger? I’m honored Fro. Thank you.

Under the influence of ignorance. PATHETIC.

Yes, Ratliff was drunk/hungover. How lovely.

I can see that even though this was the right thing to do and unpredictable at that, management is still making mistakes. It started with Raypist McDonald and has continued with this. Also, cutting Jordan Mills in favor of two guys who have no business in the NFL (Charles Leno and Vladamir Ducasse) isn’t too encouraging either. The offensive line has been terrible this year.

And Chuckster, you are welcome for the honor.

Get a load of this bullshit guys:

I missed it. When did John Fox morph into some demented hybrid of Lovie Smith and Marc Trestman. I would expect horseshit explanations from both of those asshats, but I thought Fox at least was a little bit smarter.

    Guess I was wrong.

I heard the soundbite on Boers and Bernstein. When they start making fun of a coach in Chicago, you know that said coach is an idiot. The Bears are a joke.

Speaking of a joke, I was able to catch the last part of the Ravens-Cardinals game. Marc Trestman is ruining the Ravens offense. I actually like Joe Flacco but damn, he just hasn’t been the same this year. Does anybody else find it odd that this started happening when Trestman took over as offensive coordinator?
