Robbie Gould tries winning the game for the Bears; Bears say “No, thanks.” – Giants 22 Bears 16

by

It was there ladies and gentleman. There were the Bears at the two-minute warning, driving with a chance to win the game. Then, Cutler goes Cutler on everyone by throwing an interception. And this was after Robbie Gould missed two extra points for the Giants. It was almost as if he was trying to re-pay the favor for just one game.

This miserable season can’t end soon enough. Six games to go. It’s time for the Bears to start Matt Barkley. Sure, he probably sucks too, but the Bears need to see if they have someone other than Connor Shaw who can be on the roster next year. I don’t hate Cutler, but we all know enough is enough. This has been stale for quite some time.

And if someone can tell me why Ryan Pace hasn’t came out of hiding yet to have some type of press conference to address these issues, feel free to let me know. It’s almost as if he is scared to do this for fear of being criticized (and rightfully so).

I feel like ryan pace should get more time to build the roster. He had 2 hits in this year’s draft and we will find out about the others. The bears actually started well then turned into their usual selves. I am glad we lost we need the highest draft pick we can get but the 9ers and browns aren’t helping us out any.

If only the Bears bothered showing up for the second half…

The Bears defense takes a coffee break in the third quarter and gives up a ten point lead, then Dickface can’r muster a decent drive in the second half. That fourth quarter though: four sacks, two near fumbles, three stupid penalties, and the back breaking INT.

If Cutler can’t muster a fourth quarter drive this deep into his career, it’s time for the bears to look for another answer at QB.

I predict that Cutler will never win the big game in Chicago…of course, that’s ez for me to say….as he’ll likely never get to it.

    ha ha ha ha ha….

I think it’s time for Pace to make a statement.

  4. Fro Dog Says:

Pace has been in hiding since training camp. I am at the assumption that the Bears have put him in a remote location.

  5. erniesarmy Says:

Fro, can we add “Fire Mike McCarthy” to the title of this site? 42-24 butt whopping is an embarrassment! Time to dump this clown now!
Bears will beat the Packers this year … guaranteed!

  6. Fro Dog Says:

Why would I do that? I am not a fan of the Packers. If the Bears were actually decent, I would be even more in favor of the Packers keeping McCarthy.

  7. Pie in the Sky Says:

I’d have to agree. Seeing this is a Bears site, I think “Hire Mike McCarthy” would be better, haha. Bears already beat Lions & Vikings in Chicago. They’ll probably beat Green Bay unless Matt Barkley is playing. The Packers don’t have the depth to overcome this injury era where it seems every team has 20 key injuries. Getting hard to watch these bums on defense.

    FIRE JOHN FOX!!!!

  9. genrebuster Says:

ernie, I thought about you as I was watching the Redskins have their way with the Packers defense…I understand the injuries are mounting, but WTF?

Aaron Rodgers must be tired of his receivers NOT making catches.

The Bears SUCK. Fox and Cutler need to go, why not today? I don’t blame Cutler for all that’s gone wrong, but he cannot lead….

  10. Fro Dog Says:

I think the Bears need a little of this, my frendts.

  11. Fro Dog Says:

Add Jerrell Freeman to the list of suspended players for the Bears.

You know, performance-enhancing drugs are supposed to make you better at playing football. Taking them are bad as it is. Taking them and still not winning is even worse.

Jay cutler injured! Let’s see what barkley has got. I bet he’s worthless but we shall see

  13. Fro Dog Says:

You and I have echoed the same things over the last few weeks. I am fine with this decision. I am sure he is worthless as you say, but there is only one way to find out. Him being in there will continue to make the Bears interesting at least.

  14. Cbears523 Says:

I would rather see the unknown because we know what we get with cutler and it isn’t good. I just wish we had a true talent to turn to now. I feel like barkley is just there. I wish we had foles back

  15. Fro Dog Says:

I think you mean Fales, but yes. The Bears wasted draft picks on him and Nathan Enderle a year or two before that. I still didn’t understand the point of getting rid of him for Brian Hoyer.

  16. erniesarmy Says:

“Why would I do that? I am not a fan of the Packers. If the Bears were actually decent, I would be even more in favor of the Packers keeping McCarthy.”

First, I was kidding about the site name change.

Second, “I would be even more in favor of the Packers keeping McCarthy”, touche.

  17. Fro Dog Says:

Sorry Ernie! I didn’t mean it come off that way. It’s hard to read the text of a comment at times. It’s all good my man!

Oh, and for everyone else, the Bears brought back David Fales. I don’t even understand why they did that. They wasted two or three years of Fales on the roster and never used him.

  18. Cbears523 Says:

Finally a smart decision by the bears. If I were them I would have fales starting in 3 weeks. He is a developmental talent. I’ve been wanting to see him in the game for years. We have been stuck on the rut called jay cutler for too long. Throw in all the rookies. Deon bush needs to get in too. Let’s see what we got. Amos dropped a sure pick and doesn’t have an int in 2 years. We need a playmaker at safety.

  19. Dave Says:

What the hell happened to this Jay Cutler? 7 years of shitty offensive lines and coaching, that’s what. Here he is in high school playing QB and throwing dozens of touchdowns, as well as playing cornerback getting a pick 6, and returning a kickoff too! Then he plays basketball with mad handles, hops, and dunks. During a workout at Vanderbilt last summer, Zach Miller said Jay took batting practice and was hitting major league bombs from both left and right sides of the plate. All we are missing is hockey. What an athlete! Goddamnit.

  20. Fro Dog Says:

You’re right. He got his ass kicked repeatedly over the seven years he’s been in Chicago. When you have a franchise ran by morons who can’t build a line around him (because all of them are either hurt or busts), that is a problem. Nobody questioned his athleticism either back in the day or even now.

I just think enough is enough. They need to move on and this franchise needs an overhaul. The owners aren’t going to change and I think we have accepted that. Since George McCaskey continues to throw shit at a wall and praying it sticks, it’s hard to believe they will succeed. I am just praying they get lucky and find a general manager who can actually recognize good players. Along with that, hire scouts who have 20/20 vision and can let this general manager know who’s legit and who isn’t.

  21. Dave Says:

Does Theo Epstein know football? LOL

  22. Cbears523 Says:

My biggest beef with cutler is when he got hurt josh mccown came in and looked better than jay ever did. He was checking it down and throwing it to the right guys every time. Everything isn’t about arm strength and talent. He hasn’t learned to throw it away or scan the field and I don’t think he ever will. At this point he ain’t gunna lead us to the promise land. Maybe in new scenery he will but not here.

  23. Fro Dog Says:

He holds onto the ball way too long. If a player can’t fix that type of problem in ten years, they never will. It’s just time to start over. The Bears need to stop signing free agents to huge contracts and just build through the draft.

  24. FIREJOHNFOX Says:

The two most important factors in playing quarterback are leadership and ball security and cutler lacks in both. He does not seem to be well liked in the locker room and has repeated chemistry issues with oc’s and recievers. On top of that he is a turnover machine. He is careless with the football just look at the strip sack against tampa bay. You should never hold the ball like that. Even taking in account his terrible offensive lines he has often been out preformed by his backups when he was injured. For these reasons i hope that he does not play another snap for the bears which is thankfully looking like a real possibility as of right now. On a side note every member of the bears training staff needs to fucking fired immediately. Injuries are part of the game but this has gotten out of control
