The Bears have pissed me off so much with their insulting press conference on Wednesday, that I haven’t had much desire to write about it. Therefore, you guys give your thoughts on this. Oh, and George McCaskey still won’t fire the accountant, Ted Phillips after their worst season since the NFL went to a 16-game season in 1978.

The fact that Ted Phillips still has a job is proof that McCaskey is a fucking LOSER. Cut the business ties, you can still be friends.

    So PATHETIC.

“We have an excellent collaboration,” McCaskey said on that Bloody Monday. “Ted keeps me informed on actions he’s taking or will take. We collaborate. It’s not a voting situation.

“Ted and I understand the history of the Bears. Ted and I have lived it. We feel a collaborative effort is the best way to go.

“Our family has complete faith in Ted. He has our complete support.”

No idea how old George McCaskey is, but he, like the rest of the McCaskey family, is too old and set in their ways to change. It’s not that they’re cheap, but it’s that they are “penny wise and pound foolish.”

They’re not going to change because they have no incentive to change. As long as they’ve got money coming in from the TV deals and everybody buying merchandise from the ’85 bears, they’ll always be in the book, regardless of how empty Soldier Field gets on game day.

I noticed that if you go to FoxSports.com or SI.com, you can’t comment on their articles anymore.

I guess sports fans’ opinion doesn’t matter anymore?

  5. Fro Dog Says:

I think various sites are doing this now because all of the morons who harass others and arguments that begin there. I’ve seen it on various sites where people just go off and make things a bigger deal than they already are. It’s even worse on the news websites. I am just glad we’ve limited the amount of idiots over the years by being the darkest corner of the internet.

Great job by the Bulls tonight to lose to a team that’s even worse than they are in the Knicks. The Bulls are going to be really bad for a very long time.

There are a lot of really stupid owners in professional sports, Fro. Look at Spanos and the Chargers. I live in L.A. and there is no one who wants them here. The Chargers belong in San Diego, but the owner wants a “better business venue.” Ha!

  7. Fro Dog Says:

I’ve been seeing that story being talked about quite a bit lately, Ernie. They’ve really pissed off their fans by moving North. From what I understand, they are going to play in a 35,000 seat stadium until a new one is built. The problem with that is, they haven’t even put in a plan yet for a new stadium.

This is just another reason why Roger Goodell is a fucking hack. If he really cared about the game and it’s fans, he would have rejected their application to relocate (which he has all the power to do).

  8. Pie in the Sky Says:

That Chargers situation could prove catastrophic for that franchise. At best, they’re the fourth-most coveted team in a market that already has one team and a ton of other entertainment options to choose from. They hired the most unexciting head coach to lead them. They’re a losing franchise with a quarterback who’s on the brink of retirement.

Only chance that franchise has to survive in Los Angeles is if they start winning immediately. They’d better strike gold whenever they draft Philip Rivers successor.

  9. Fro Dog Says:

The Chargers, despite all of their issues, are still closer to winning a Super Bowl than the Bears are.

  10. dvxprime Says:

I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I’m seriously losing my taste for the NFL, eve though I watched the “Hawks-Falcons game on Saturday at BWW.

I’m not going to repeat the same rants that I’ve been posting all season, but to sum it up:

*** Goodall could be convicted of war crimes by the UN, and all the owners would negotiate to pay a billion dollar fine and let Goodall get his ass chewed by the UN Secretary General.

*** As evidenced by the Chargers move: the owners barely give a fuck about the fans (current playoff teams notwithstanding)

*** The players are fucking meatballs. Take a look at the quarterbacks that the Patriots faced up to this point. Rothleisberegr will be the best QB their defense has faced all season.

As for the Bears, of course they’re not going to pay a third set of GM-HC money to go away. But it would be really nice if Pace and Fox find some way to rise above all the bullshit and put a playoff team on the field next season. Detroit and Minnesota shit and fell backwards this season; if the Bears could play worth a fuck, maybe they could have pushed for a wild card spot?

  11. Fro Dog Says:

Yes, it absolutely has a different feel this year. In fact, it hasn’t felt the same in quite a while.

This week, I’ve been playing Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl for Regular Nintendo. I won the Super Bowl with the Bears in both games (I generally play the games start to finish once a year). The point being, the game is simple to play. It’s not like the newer games these days. That’s how football was back then and how it should be now. Instead, you have an idiotic commissioner who’s changing rules of the game and who can’t get enough of Thursday Night games. It’s unbelievable.

  12. chucky Says:

Fro…have you heard the bad news? I’m sorry to tell you this, but the future Mrs. Fro dog may be traded soon. She wants to move closer to home, it seems. I’m sorry, my frendt.

  13. Fro Dog Says:

    Chuckster,

I am very sad to hear this. I may even be, ANGRY? How sad.

They were very close to winning a WNBA Championship back in 2014. An injury to her derailed that. The next year, is when her health issues (Lyme Disease) played a factor. It sucks, but I hear they would get a lot in return (a star player and high draft pick). It’s hard to replace a former MVP and if healthy, she will get another one.

  14. chucky Says:

Fro…do you still plan on marrying her?

  15. Fro Dog Says:

It doesn’t appear to be the case anymore. I need to find a new lady in Chicago.

By the way, what do you think of Amy Rutledge of WGN? I know Jimmy D. would love her because she’s a red head. It’s too bad she’s having more kids.

  16. chucky Says:

Amy Rutledge is actually one of a select few that I like on that shitstorm of a TV station. If or pal Jimmy is interested, I sure won’t stand in his way. I’m still sticking with Cheryl Scott though. Damn, I like her!!!!

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
