Is Jerry Reinsdorf just going to sit in his retirement home and do nothing? Bulls blow 10-point lead in final three minutes to Hawks.

by

Well, the Bulls were up 110-100 in those final three minutes. Then, the Hawks go on a 19-4 run. Seriously?

This is getting old, annoying and PATHETIC.

Gar Forman, John Paxson and Fred Hoiberg are all responsible. The Chicago Bulls have become one of the laughingstock of the NBA. A once proud franchise, they have been irrelevant for almost 20 years.

Enough is enough. And this is up to the fans that continue to help the Bulls sell out the United Center 41 times a year. They need to do what Bears fans did the last few games of the season: STOP GOING TO THE GAMES. Showing up just fuels their pockets with cash. Hit them where it hurts the most: the wallet.

Fro….I’m starting to think that Reinsdork is really a secret member of the McCaskey family sewer. They sure seem to think alike, don’t they?

    Hey, fellas…it’s been awhile.

First, it’s nice to see Deadpan has found enough basketball news so they can take a break from cross-posting TRUMP = HITLER bitchiest articles from their fellow Gawker sites. Quit whining, motherfuckers.

Second, I just had a thought: The current roster is a hot mess, and GarPax can’t move anybody because of the stupid contracts they signed last summer. Also, Phil Jackson is probably tired of his failed “team president/uber-GM” experiment with the Knicks, who are about the same hot mess at MSG (I’m surprised D-Hose and Noah are still playing at this point; I figured they’d be on injured reserve by Christmas).

If Phil resigns from the Knicks (last year of his three year deal), could GarPax and jerry the Hutt try luring him back into coaching???

Third: assuming the above is a (crack)pipe dream, the Bulls are so boned. Hoiberg is in over his head and will lucky to be still coaching the Bulls in the next twelve months. he can’t run his “system” because he won’t get the players that he needs. The “three alphas” aren’t working with each other, and the young guys on the bench are on track to become busts.

I haven’t watched one minute of Bulls basketball since Hoiberg was made coach. Doesn’t look like I’m missing anything.

I was so thrilled with the first 3 games of the season, They looked like a far different team the last few weeks than how they did early on. Bulls are shit, bullshit even. Blackhawks seem to be decent in streaks, a playoff team for sure, but I dunno about getting the cup with the 3rd period collapses in recent games. Would be nice to see Chicago take two titles in a one year period though. I dunno about you guys but I am ready to watch the Champs take the field again, bring on baseball!

    From Deadspin, via Rom Romberts:

“This Bulls season has played out precisely how it was always going to play out. An overwhelmingly mediocre team led by Jimmy Butler, whose consistent growth into a viable go-to guy is outstripped and overshadowed by his complete inability to connect on a real level with any of his teammates or “lead” for more than a few minutes at a time. Jimmy Butler scoring 40+ points is great in a vacuum, but he doesn’t do a goddamned thing to make anyone else on the court play better. Add to that Rajon Rondo, whose corrosive attitude is as inevitable as death. He is who he is, only now he is who he is minus the basketball skills he had as a younger player. Dwayne Wade is a drone in a holding pattern circling Chicago and likely enjoying the proximity to his roots about as much as the novelty of putting on his hometown team’s jersey every night. He shows up every now and then just to test his abilities and limits as he nears the end of his playing days. When the command center puts in a call, if/when the conditions are just right, he’ll break his holding pattern and bank hard in whatever direction provides him with one last shot at another title. Nikola Mirotic is not technically alive, having been cursed with a wasting disease by the gypsy woman from the novel ‘Thinner’. Doug McDermott’s absolute ceiling is Kyle Korver and he will never be Kyle Korver. Taj Gibson is consistent but also among the least exciting NBA starters in the entire league. People talk about Cristiano Felicio like he’s going to be a contributor someday. I look forward to him emerging from his shell on a stacked future San Antonio squad.

As a lifelong Bulls fan, this is among the least exciting, most frustrating teams this organization has ever produced. They aren’t in a full rebuild. They aren’t going for it. Everyone hates each other. I feel bad for Fred Hoiberg, who is in a bad situation made worse by the fact that he’s, well, probably bad! The greatest sin of this year’s Bulls is that they are overwhelmingly predictable and intensely boring. Blow this bullshit up and give us something to give a shit about.”

    Nuff said.

    Go Blackhawks.

And you could say almost the exact same thing regarding 90% of the rosters in the NBA! One-on-one basketball, no defense, cast off 3 pointers from 50 ft, is the modern NBA. Haven’t watched a single game this year. Played basketball myself in High School and a little College, and the game today bears no resemblance whatsoever to the basketball I loved. R.I.P. to the basketball from the days of John Wooden, Red Auerbach, Red Holzman, Jack Ramsey, Dick Motta, and Phil Jackson – move the ball, hard-nosed defense, and working to get the best shot. All gone!

Bulls up 7 on the Sixers halfway through the fourth. The lead was 14 in the first quarter.

If the Bulls blow this game, I say Butler, Wade and Rondo have a fistfight in the locker room after the game.

Bulls won last night by 13. Blind squirrel finds a nut.

    Moving on…

    Bears/Bulls/White Sox…bad.

    Cubs/Black hawks…Good.

    Fire and Passion…nevermind.

I walk by at least three HD-TVs at my workplace. Any one of them will have on Fox News/Fox Business/CNN/msnbc. We’ve even had C-SPAN on for a few days.

There are thousands of political sites on the internet for whatever political leanings you have…left/right/center/vertical/horizontal/RENTISTOODAMNHIGH!!!

People waste thousands of man-hours on Facebook/Twitter/whatever on political debates that will change no one’s mind…ever.

But I go to SI.com this morning and there are half a dozen articles about athletes/coaches/whatever bitching about what Trump is doing today. Same thing with FoxSports.com. Deadpan has a major hard-on for Trump; if they’re not posting BS articles about somebody “burning” Trump, they’re crossposting shit from their other sites.

People watch sports to take a refuge from the other political bullshit once in a while. It doesn’t help that no one does any sort of critical thinking anymore, and that everybody is so hyper-sensitive that the get offended if you break wind and it doesn’t smell right.

This country’s going to split in half until the end of time…we don’t need dumb-ass sportswriters, athletes, coaches, and other sports BS artists widening the gap.

    STFU and play games, dammit.

SHOW DA FIRE AND PASSION, MY FRENDT!
