Did it need to be this difficult? | Bears 24 Rams 18

September 29, 2024

Exhausted. Again, that’s what I felt this entire game. They looked like shit for the most part and yet, found a way to win. Of course, we all will take this. A report came out that Cole Kmet and others on offense had to sit down with dumbfuck Shane Waldron to tell him that his play-calling is trash. While it improved a bit today, it’s still trash overall.

Caleb Williams | He definitely needs help (see below). He continues to overthrow receivers and run backwards on other passes. This shit needs to stop. If the game plan makes him stay in the pocket, then he needs to tell Shane Waldron to fuck off.

D’Andre Swift | It’s about damn time Shane Waldron stopped being as stupid. RUN. THE. BALL. It’s not that difficult. Swift was the major contributer to this win. Some big first downs and then that long run for the touchdown. He lead the team in both rushing and receiving. I don’t think it can be like this every week. Other players need to step up.

Offensive line | If I’m Ryan Poles, next draft, use the first four or five picks on offensive linemen. I am not kidding. Nate Davis is trash and plays like he doesn’t give a shit. I am tired of Teven Jenkins and Darnell Wright having false start after false start. And all those sacks on Williams, there would have been many more to the total if it wasn’t for the referees being generous.

Defense | “Bend, but don’t break” is absolutely annoying. The Rams only punted once in this game. They got into the red zone four times. After Swift had that long run for the touchdown, the defense promptly gave up a touchdown in the grand total of 2:42. And that interception to seal the deal? Stafford clearly got smacked in the head. Next time, the referees may not be so kind. This needs to improve.

Penalties | 10 penalties of 84 yards. Inexcusable and more proof that this team lacks discipline. This is nothing new. Enough of this shit.

The Panthers are in town next week for a noon start.

Bears vs. Rams thread

September 29, 2024

Three games in and most of us here are already experiencing fatigue due to the continued incompetence of our beloved professional football team.

I have a bad feeling about this one. We could see an even lower point from the first three games they’ve played.

Every excellent performance by Jayden Daniels will prove Ryan Poles doesn’t know what he’s doing.

September 24, 2024

As most of us have seen, Jayden Daniels dominated the Bengals this past Monday. He seemed to have played calm, cool and collective. And again, the discussion has come up: Did the Bears make the right choice with Caleb Williams?

I know. It’s only three games. But the Bears have been trash all three games. Jayden Daniels has seemed to improve significantly every week.

And yes, the Bears do not have an offensive line. But guess what? Ryan Poles has had three years to fix this fucking line and hasn’t. I’m very much aware that Poles isn’t the one throwing the ball into triple coverage over and over again. But he is responsible for the shitty players that are on the field along with the shitty offensive coordinators.

It’s worse than Emery and Trestman and I am very serious. At least Phil Emery drafted Kyle Long who was a big part of the team for five or six years. Poles hasn’t found a single offensive lineman worth a damn.

Three years of Poles and Eberf-LOSE is enough. If George McCaskey cares about this franchise, he will send both of these idiots packing right now.

Annoyed | Colts 21 Bears 16

September 22, 2024

Where do you want to start? The interceptions by Williams? Him overthrowing and underthrowing countless times? Or how about throwing in double and triple coverage? The shitty offensive line?

Here’s a surprise: I am not going to blame the defense. The last two touchdowns were off of a shitty penalty on a punt and then the strip sack on Williams that gave the Colts a short field. It’s “Vintage Bears” with the defense giving the team a chance to win and the offense is garbage. And yes, the defense had a chance to stop the Colts at the 2:00 warning. But when they are exhausted as they were, fuck it.

Shane Waldron is a fucking idiot. Early on in the game, they would run the ball for six yards. Next play is a pass? Why? Just keep running until the other team stops you. Nope. Let’s just pass for an incomplete and eventually, punting it away.

Teven Jenkins is not very good at football. Too many penalties and he can’t guard anyone. Last I checked, his position is “guard” and he can’t do that very simple task.

The Colts had so many penalties that gave the Bears so many chances to take control of this game. We’ve seen this so many times over the years.

Matt Eberf-LOSE is a fucking idiot. They finally score a touchdown and he calls a timeout? Hey, dumbass. There’s only 8:41 left in the game and your team is still trailing. Either have your team ready to go for two or get the field goal unit out there. Confusion on the sidelines in that manner is a sign of lack of communication. That’s on you, dipshit.

This team lacks communication, discipline and urgency. Again, this is the same shit we’ve seen for DECADES. Why won’t this ever be different? With the way other teams in the division and conference are starting off, there is absolutely no way they make the playoffs now.

And last, but not least, Justin Fields and the Steelers are 3-0. This is proof that it’s an organizational failure of drafting and developing players.

I think this will be that one game of the season where the Bears are given a two or three touchdown lead and promptly blow it. We will see what happens.

Why does this shit keep happening to this fucking franchise?

September 20, 2024

Injuries. Injuries. Injuries.

This team will never get healthy. And even if they were, they are still a shitshow.

This falls on management. No doubt about it. Why do many of the players they let go all-of-a-sudden become decent for other teams in terms of health and performance?

Penalties, galore. | Texans 19 Bears 13

September 15, 2024

Again, nothing I am saying in this recap is different than any other one I’ve done in the 16 years when shit was rough. It’s not that they lose. It’s how they lose. And tonight, it was just garbage from the start. “Vintage Chicago Bears.” This game was shitty on every level. Zero positive signs of improvement. Yet, there they were with a chance to win the game at the end and they promptly pissed it away.

Defense – You cannot tell me this is “just football” when they give up points not only on the first drive of almost every game, but also right before halftime. Seriously. I would say in the last 50 games, they probably gave up points either on the first drive or right before halftime 30 of those times. That is BAD. The amount of third down conversions that an opposing team gets on this team all of these years is fucking annoying. It’s lead to points.

Offensive Line – This line is absolutely attrocious. They can’t protect anyone. This team can’t run. And how many fucking penalties is Darnell Wright going to have? Fuck this useless turd. And I know already know where this is going to with Caleb Williams. But the line could at least protect him so he can take his time overthrowing a receiver or throwing an interception.

Caleb Williams – Read above. I don’t fucking care. It’s back to finding a quarterback next year. He’s overthrowing/underthrowing receivers and racking up interceptions. I’ve seen enough.

Two games in and I’m already exhausted. It’s just fucking exhausting. But hey, Kevin Warren is working his hardest to get a new stadium. Like that is going to be magically make this team better. Matt Eberf-LOSE needs to go.

Bears vs. Texans thread

September 15, 2024

I really want to believe this game will be much better than last week. But I don’t see it. Prove me wrong, boys.

Reason #17,037 why Thursday Night Football is fucking stupid.

September 12, 2024

Here it is again. Another major injury that could have been prevented by common sense. Tua Tagovailoa has yet, another concussion. But what makes it even worse is that this is the second one he’s had by playing on a Thursday.

I know what some may say. “Injuries can happen on Sundays, too.” Or “Tua is injury-prone.” While those statements may be true, the fact that his career is basically over now due to two injuries on two different Thursdays didn’t need to happen.

This is on Roger Goodell and the owners for putting greed over safety. They don’t give a shit that the ones on the field are human beings with families. Fuck anyone who approved of this shit and fuck them for proposing 18 games which will further oversaturate the league.

Eh. | Bears 24 Titans 17

September 8, 2024

I will admit that when the Titans scored to go up 17-0, I shut off the TV. I thought for sure it was over. As mentioned in the previous thread, I have been fighting a shitty cold the last week and have had a lot to do. I checked the score on my phone as the day went on and refused to watch as seeing the Bears score several times to eventually win.

From what I did see in the first half, it was vintage Chicago Bears. If I’m not mistaken, I saw a 2nd and 1 play that became a 3rd and 4 because John Schoop Shane Waldron called a pass play for negative yards. You couldn’t call another run play? And from what the critics were saying after the game, “the running game couldn’t get going.” Well, it’s hard to get it going when you’re only running once every five plays. This is stupidity. Adam Gase Shane Waldron is already looking like a fool.

One thing I’d also like to mention is that I heard a bit of the postgame show on ESPN 1000. I believe Jurko was mentioning Williams’ height being a disadvantage while being scouted. He had multiple passes that were deflected. I don’t always believe that a taller quarterback results in better success. I even think Rex Grossman was shorter than 6’1. But again, this needs to be on the coaching to put him in a position to succeed. We have yet to see that.

The defense had a couple of stops on the first two drives. Then points on three of four drives? It was 17-0 pretty quickly.

As far as the rest that I saw on highlights, the defense and special teams had to do all the work. A blocked punt for a touchdown and a pick-six from Tyrique Stevenson. Then Jaylon Johnson intercepts Will Levis to seal the deal. We’ve seen this story so many times. It’s great for one game. Realistically, this is impossible to sustain. Plus, the defense was shitty at the start. So for what seems to be the 15,176th time on this website, let say the following:

2nd and 1 should be a run up the middle every single time. Not this wide-receiver screen bullshit. Talk about putting your team in a position to fail. RUN. THE. BALL. It’s not that fucking difficult. Defense, cover the receivers. Stay disciplined.

The Texans are up next on Sunday Night Football.
