And I thought Ryan Pace was going to trade away picks for a punter! (2018 Draft Review)

April 29, 2018

The excuses are over for Ryan Pace. In fact, they were over when he took over. I wasn’t pleased with contract extension at the end of last season. And while I am not a fan of trading away draft picks as he traded up in the second round, he was still able to walk away with seven picks. Looking at the selections, I still wish the Bears would have added help in the secondary and more on the offensive line, but this will do. Roquan Smith was the Butkus Award Winner for best defensive player in college. Of course, it would be so “Bears” if he and the others either got hurt all the time or sucked. It’s the Bear way.

This isn’t a post meant for pessimism/criticism. That being said, history is not on our side. We shall see what happens. Share your thoughts in the thread.

Roquan Smith – Linebacker

James Daniels – Center

Anthony Miller – Wide Receiver

Joel Iyiegbuniwe – Linebacker

Bilal Nichols – Defensive Tackle

Kylie Fitts – Defensive End

Javon Wims – Wide Receiver

Cue Yeti…

The schedule is out for the Bears.

April 19, 2018

Here it is, folks. This is not looking good. And what’s with networks always wanting Bears vs. Packers in Green Bay for the whole world to see? It’s the same shit everytime. “Packers win easy.” Every. Fucking. Time.

Here’s the prediction machine courtesy of yours truly: 4-12. Wins against the Cardinals, Jets, Vikings and Giants. The Bears always have one game every year where nobody expects them to win and they end up doing so. I pick the home game against the Vikings for that. Everything else is, as it stands now, common sense.

Greetings. I am back. It was a good time in New Orleans. Well, until Saturday. It became very cold, windy and rainy. I ended up getting a bit of a cold because of it and thus, had a tough time enjoying the rest of the weekend.

I’ll be busy again with work these next few weeks. I do plan on putting another thread up for the NFL Draft in two weeks. That shall be interesting.

Fire away, folks.

Heading back to New Orleans

Hanging out with Chucky in 2014

Greetings to you. I want to once again apologize for not posting much these last couple of months. Work has just been hectic and as mentioned before, our sports’ lives just really suck right now. The Bears are making moves and getting ready for the Draft, but that’s still weeks away. The Bulls and Blackhawks have been absolutely lousy and will thankfully, be finishing up their campaigns very soon.

I will be having my annual WrestleMania trip this weekend and it’s a familiar place for me as I went to the one in New Orleans four years ago. This will be my seventh WrestleMania and fifth in a row. It’s really my only few days away from work every year.

I will gladly post some pictures (appropriate ones) when I get them. Maybe I will even run into Chucky again.
