So, the Cubs have been quietly rebuilding since 1908, right? It does seem like lately they are getting better….or, am I delusional (baaaaah)?

Trade Soriano. Trade Marmol.

That’s all I got for now. If anybody wants to take the time to spill their guts on anything Cubs related, I just might use it/post as a new thread. DON’T HOLD BACK.

In other news….GO BLACKHAWKS!

Yeah buddy!

In trouble.

May 23, 2013

A lot of the internet folks and “experts” said that the Blackhawks would be better matched up against the Red Wings in the second round rather than the Sharks. A lot of the same people said that the Blackhawks would win the series easily against the Red Wings and that no team can beat them in a best-of-seven series. The Blackhawks win the first game. Then, they lose the next one. And the one after that. And then the one after that also.

Now, I wish they would play the games on paper.

In my lifetime, the Red Wings have always beat the Blackhawks in the playoffs. My earliest memory was in ’95 when the Blackhawks went down 4-1. Likewise for 2009. This year, it could be the same. These guys are a pain in the ass. I was probably the happiest guy out there when I found out they were switching conferences. Unless they face each other in the Stanley Cup (I’ll be shitting myself in fear if that happens), the Blackhawks won’t have to worry about seeing them in the playoffs ever again.

So here are the Blackhawks down 3-1. If they don’t want to hear about how the 1991 Blackhawks went out of the playoffs in horrendous fashion by spending half of the games with someone on their team in the penalty box against the North Stars, then they will win three in a row and advance to the Western Conference Finals.

For the love of God, please win three in a row.

Get well soon.

It’s finally OVER.

May 15, 2013

Well, the Bulls put us out of our misery Wednesday night after they were down 18 early on, then up 11 and just couldn’t hold on to it. It was deja vu from 2011 with the Bulls winning the first game and then losing the next four in horrendous fashion.

I’ll keep this short as if I wrote everything that is pissing me off, I would be repeating myself for the 1500th time in the last few years. I will say that a few of the “experts” said that the Bulls are playing shorthanded and with just an extra man or two on the bench. Let’s put it this way: The Bulls, like every other NBA team, can dress 12 guys regardless. The Bulls had 12 guys ready to play. Of course they are going to “run out of gas” in games because the idiot head coach refuses to play the rest of the guys on the team. That’s not very smart.

Yes. Vladimir Radmonovic is terrible and so are Daequan Cook and Malcom Thomas. I even joked with a friend that Cook is a good basketball player when he doesn’t shoot the ball. The fact of the matter is, is that these guys need to put in minutes to give the starters rest. Instead, there continued to be a “DNP – Coach’s Decision” in the boxscore for them. Why even sign these guys to the roster and take up more salary cap space if they aren’t going to play? That’s right. Jerry Reinsdorf can afford to pay players a million or two to sit on the bench and do nothing. I wish I can get paid millions of dollars to go watch a basketball game. Where do I sign?

That’s it for me. I’ll leave you guys this:

Anthony Rizzo signs for 7 years….

….what do YOU think? Might end up being a bargain….or, it could “blow up”…

…after all, haven’t the Cubs been quietly rebuilding since 1908? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I think Al Sorry-Oh-No should give Rizzo a big chunk of his salary!

A fine display of stupidity.

Don't worry everyone. He actually missed this dunk attempt. I know. It's hard to miss them but it happens.

You think the Bulls would have learned their lesson from Wednesday when the Heat “Danza Slapped” them. Instead, the Bulls wanted to top that by acting even dumber on Friday night. Well, they exceeded my expectations. That’s for sure. First, you have Nate Robinson getting fouled. Cool with me. Then, two seconds later, Joakim Noah thought he would get things started by pushing Chris Andersen out of the way when it was clear, that he wasn’t doing anything at that moment. Technical foul.

Then, LeBron James gets a technical foul by pushing down Nazr Mohammed. What happens next? Nazr gets up and pushes LeBron down to the floor. Great idea! Now, Joakim is stuck playing even more minutes on two bad feet. Apparently, the competition between the Bulls on who was going to get a technical foul next was still going well after game two.

Magic Johnson said at halftime of the game that the Bulls COULD win the series if they just play smart and not let anything get to them. Apparently, no one told him that the Bulls aren’t smart and they aren’t coached by a smart basketball person either. If Thibodeou was, in any way, decent, he would have told his players before the game, “Don’t be idiots. Play the game and don’t retaliate.” OK. So if they push you or just foul you, don’t push back and don’t say anything. Simple, right? Well, for any other team, maybe. Instead, the Vancouver Canucks of basketball continue to be morons by starting fights with the other team and giving away points in terms of free throws.

What’s that you say? Free throws? Oh, yes. The Bulls missed eight of them. Make those free throws and you’re probably watching overtime. Let’s not forget that the Heat were getting pretty much half of their free throws gift-wrapped to them. They made 26 out of 30 and that sealed the Bulls’ fate.

Game three is Monday night.

FIRE AND PASSION.

Ladies and gentleman, your 2012-2013 Chicago Bulls in just one play.

May 2, 2013

In fact, here’s your Chicago Bulls since 2004. Not shown: Missed free throws, a bunch of turnovers and horrible shots. And for you idiots out there, I want to apologize for being wrong and saying that the Bulls would lose in six. Correction. They’ll lose in seven. Oops.

Enjoy.
