Here is one clear shot. It was a great show (first one in quite a while). The police officers/security were awful. They were yelling at a bunch of people and threatening to eject/arrest some because they had CM Punk posters and others were dressed up like him. What a bunch of idiots.

September 29, 2014Not taking advantage of the opportunities given
September 28, 2014Well, Jay Cutler just threw his second pick of the game and I am not going to wait until the end of the game to write the recap.
Offense: The Bears had everything going for them on offense and Cutler just completely haulted two drives in a row with two interceptions. So yes CS, you were correct. Had he waited an extra second, he would have seen where Marshall was heading on that second pick. The Bears had chances to score touchdowns in the first half but Cutler threw a pass way too high. That resulted in the field goal. Then, Bennett was just shy of the goal line at the end.
Defense: It’s nice to see Chris Conte and the rest of the secondary return to suck. Aaron Rodgers told fans of the Packers last week to “relax”. What he meant by that was “Don’t worry. We play the Bears on Sunday.” Not having one or two players (Allen and Ratliff) is no excuse. The rest of the defense was horrible. As of this writing, the Packers have scored on every drive.
Special teams: What special teams?
Next up: The Panthers on the road.
Nazr Mohammed signed by the Bulls to be a fan for one year
September 25, 2014http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/chi-nazr-mohammed-returns-20140922-story.html
Even though we’re football heavy at the moment, I had to side step and post this about the Bulls re-signing Nazr Mohammed. Hey, it’s great that he’s back. I don’t have a problem with him coming back. What I do have a problem with is the fact that the impostor head coach won’t ever play him. I don’t think Nazr will care though. I mean, would you take a million or two just to watch basketball from the best seat in the entire arena? I’ll take that job for much cheaper. Come on Bulls. I’ll sit on the bench and never play for much cheaper.
PATHETIC.
Too close for comfort
September 22, 2014Right before the season started, I told myself that if the Bears could be 2-1 after the first three games, that would be about where they should be. Certainly, they lost a game against a team that they shouldn’t have lost against but at the same time, they beat a team they were not suppose to beat. I am not going to seem too pissed off at this game because let’s face it, the Bears won this game and made stops when needed. However, if you are pissed off, you have every right to be. I am still frustrated because the Bears should have put the Jets away in the second quarter. The one play that pissed me off was after a seven yard run by Forte, Trestman decided to pass twice which ended in incompletions. The Bears get a field goal and the Jets stay in the game. Regardless, a win is a win and the Bears are in first place. Let’s get to this.
Offense: The referees helped the Bears a bit in the beginning of this game. I mentioned above of that drive that the Bears only turned into a field goal. Trestman is still making some questionable calls on offense and that has to stop. I know that Forte couldn’t run that much but on some of those drives, running the ball on a certain play is the right thing to do instead of having Cutler throw into tight coverage. Speaking of tight coverage, Jay certainly makes us close to shitting our pants a time or two. First occasion tonight, the first touchdown pass to Bennett. Two Jets were closing in and Cutler threw it just high and fast enough for Bennett to get it. There was another play late in the game where Cutler threw a floater that went right into Jeffery’s hands. One play that I think kept this game in the Bears hands was the fumble by Cutler before halftime. Good thing the referees blew the whistle because that could have turned for the worst.
While the offensive line wasn’t it’s best in this game, they still did enough to limit the bad plays like Cutler getting sacked more than he did. Certainly, the defense of the Jets messed up many times so it all evens out.
Defense: I said during the offseason that the defense will be a hundred times better than last year. That is proving to be true so far. But the bad news is starting to pile up. Ryan Mundy started things off well with a pick six. Then, he gets hurt. Conte gets hurt later. He sucks though so fuck him. I think at least three players were hurt on defense in this game. Just like last year, the defense is going to have a team full of injuries and this fucking sucks. Despite all of this, the defense showed it’s collective sack and stopped the Jets in crucial situations to field goals and at the end, on downs. Oh, by the way, fuck Jon Bostic. Catch that fucking ball you dick.
On the bright side of things, Kyle Fuller has stepped up big time in these last two games. I know he tried to take that ball out like an idiot on the interception. But I am sure the coaches and players have already told him not to pull that shit again and to just take a knee. Regardless, Fuller is tearing a shit up and for that, we all are loving it.
Special teams: Ahmad Dixon recovered a fumble by punt returner Jalen Saunders. That set up the second touchdown by the Bears. There was a Bear named Terell Manning, who made a stupid decision by hitting Saalim Hakim of the Jets on a fair catch. What is with the Bears allowing players with the last name “Manning” to play on their team? For the love of God, anybody with that last name who plays defense or special teams should not be allowed on this team. They all suck. On the other side, this team is really missing Devin Hester. But hey, Robbie Gould nailed a very important field goal.
The Packers are next. If the Bears can somehow find a way to win this game, the division is there for the taking.
Hey Lovie, how’s it going down there?
September 18, 2014Somewhere in North Carolina, Genrebuster is laughing on his couch watching Lovie destroy another team.
I feel bad for Josh McCown, though. He went there to finally make some money so you can’t blame him for that. But damn.
Congratulations to Devin Hester for breaking the all-time record for return touchdowns. I know some here don’t miss him and call me a meatball, but I do. I know it was a money issue so I am not too sad but it sucks seeing him in another team’s uniform.
Any given Sunday.
September 14, 2014This game was typical at the start for the Chicago Bears. There was a blocked punt, then a touchdown and right after that, a three and out by the Bears. Before we knew it, the Bears were down 17-0 and it appeared that the 49ers were on their way to kicking the shit out the Bears on the road for 523rd time in a row. Not so fast. The Bears made adjustments on both sides of the ball. Trestman and Tucker figured out what was and wasn’t working. With some help from the referees and Jay Cutler being on his game, the Bears came back and won a game against the 49ers on the road for the first time since NINETEEN EIGHTY FIVE, my frendt.
Offense: First, credit to the offensive line for this performance. Cutler hit a couple of times but they hung in there despite the two injuries. I thought Bushrod and Mills both had great games. At first, it looked like the Bears were trying to run or set up screens for Forte. When they realized it wasn’t working, Trestman and Kromer changed things up and started passing down the field to the receivers and Martellus Bennett. Last, but not least, Brandon Marshall. Holy shit. Him and Jeffery were just fantastic despite their injuries.
Defense: Like the offense at the start, the defense was looking like horseshit too. I said last week that all the 49ers had to do, was to run the ball and have Kaepernick run all over the place. Instead, he is throwing all over the place and that turned into three interceptions. He also had a fumble too that was caused by Jared Allen. Nice of him and the rest of the defense to finally show up. Willie Young also came up huge with two sacks. The player of this entire game though goes to Kyle Fuller. He stepped in when Tillman went out and was doing things that we haven’t seem much with the Bears over these years: Cover receivers and make adjustments in place. And speaking of injuries, there were quite a few of them, including Chris Conte, Sherrick McManis, Jay Ratliff and Trevor Scott. That is not good news as the injuries are already piling up after just two games.
Special Teams: Nothing.
I am still in shock. If any of you say you thought the Bears were going to win this game, my bullshit detector will go off. The Bears are in first place. The Bears go to the Meadowlands next to face the Jets on Monday Night Football. Bear down.
Welcome to Fire Roger Goodell.
September 11, 2014NFL fans outside of Chicago, welcome to Fire Roger Goodell. This site is ran by two long time Chicago Bear fans who have been using this site since 2008 and as a group since 2005 to get rid of certain sports figures in Chicago sports such as Jerry Angelo, Lovie Smith and current Chicago Bulls head coach, Tom Thibodeau. I am Fro Dog and the man who suggested the new name for this site is Genrebuster, who also writes for this site. Feel free to share your thoughts as we continue our efforts to get rid of this hack once and for all. Below are just some of the many reasons why Roger Goodell should be tossed from our football lives forever.
1. Thursday Night Football games
2. Numerous rule changes
3. His salary – $44 million in 2013
4. The Ray Rice situation
5. Kenny Albert – No. He’s not the reason why this man on the list. I just really hate Kenny Albert. He has replaced Dick Stockton as the new kiss of death to Chicago sports teams.
6. Saying “ignorance is not an excuse” when discussing the New Orleans Saints situation two years ago.
Those are just some of the reasons why this rotten bastard should be tossed. Feel free to share yours in the comments section.
NEW Name proposal.
September 11, 2014According to the stats (cue Yeti), if the Bears don’t win this Sunday, the season is likely over.
September 10, 2014As it has been discussed here many times over the years, we generally don’t give a shit about stats other than wins and losses. If you look at this past Sunday, the Bears did very well in terms of yards and time of possession. Did it translate into a victory? No. We always say “As long as the Bears win, that’s all that matters.” And that’s true to a point.
However, something was thrown my way yesterday that I could not ignore. Since 1990, teams that have started off 0-2, have managed a way to get to the playoffs 12% of the time. In football terms (or any other way), that is not a very good probability. Some may argue the point of “Well, the Packers, Patriots and Saints all lost too this past Sunday.” You are right. But let’s put it this way: The three quarterbacks on those teams all have Super Bowl rings. The three coaches on those teams, have rings. All three of those teams, have a track record of being in it every single year. The Bears, are in playoff hunts every year, but never make it unlike the teams I just mentioned.
That’s the difference. That’s why this game coming up against the 49ers is big. The Lions and Vikings won their openers. And looking at the Packers schedule, they may not lose another game until the middle of October. It’s time for the Bears to nut up and quit making stupid fucking decisions and that goes for both the coaches and the players. When it’s 3rd and less than a yard, Trestman shouldn’t be over his head by trying to run a rollout with Cutler only for them to throw it a defensive lineman for the 372nd time. When Brandon Marshall catches the ball, he should tuck the damn thing away rather than hold it out for the whole world to see. When the media rightfully criticizes them, they should stop blaming them for being “negative”.
The entire football world is going to be watching this game between the Bears and 49ers this Sunday. Will the Bears finally shut everyone up about their deficiencies or will they prove, once again, that they just aren’t good enough yet?
