Shaken.

December 30, 2021

On Christmas Day, I was able to watch the John Madden documentary on FOX. I made it a priority to do it that day and not delay it.

When the previews were going on the weeks leading up to it, I legit had a feeling something was off. This documentary could have been made a decade ago. Why now? Was Madden sick and they wanted to celebrate his life? It just seemed insane. Like they wanted to show appreciation for him while he could see it.

Then, a few days later, he left the world. I could not believe it.

My memories of him were seeing him on TV and of course, the video games. I’ve played nearly every game since ’94 and buy the new version every year. After seeing that documentary, I realized I took all of his work for granted. It’s just insane. There won’t be another like him. When he was on TV, what comes to mind are games involving the Cowboys, 49ers or Packers. Of course, the Bears sucked ass and therefore, Summerall and Madden didn’t call many of their games growing up. But the times they did, it was a treat.

Everything he did was iconic. When Super Bowls are discussed, the image of him being lifted up after the Raiders won in 1977. Talk about an image that is remembered forever.

The football world will never be the same.

Bears vs. Seahawks Thread

December 26, 2021

No recaps for the rest of the season, my frendts. Nothing to play for, as it usually is around this time of year. Justin Fields is hurt again. It didn’t have to be that way if he was just benched a few weeks back like he should have been. And now, Foot Long Foles is out there like it should be.

And while I am at it, Fuck Roger Goddell and his idiotic idea of 17 games in the season. I know, I’ve said that before. It needs to be repeated.

Your thoughts in the thread for those who are watching.

I wish everyone a safe Christmas here at the darkest corner of the internet.

December 23, 2021

I try my best to wish everyone well, especially around the holidays. With all that’s going on in the world, your support here is much more appreciated.

None of this is taken for granted.

Also, here’s to the prayer that Ted Phillips, Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy are all given the boot.

Seriously, can someone tell me what redeeming football qualities does Ted Phillips possess that allows him to stay as the PRESIDENT OF FOOTBALL OPERATIONS?

I’ll await answers in the thread.

Bears vs. Vikings Thread

Fuck this team. I’m missing a game for the first time in years. I’m in Milwaukee for Monday Night Raw instead. Yes, Raw is utter trash and I’m choosing that over the Bears. Let that sink in.

I may watch some of this game on my phone. But there won’t be a recap. Throw in your own thoughts if you desire.

FIRE TED PHILLIPS. FIRE RYAN PACE. FIRE MATT NAGY.

Who is that idiot with the “Fire Ryan Pace” sign on National Television?

December 18, 2021

Yep. I’m that idiot. All I want is the Bears to make changes. What better way to do that than to get a close-up of it?

As Advertised | Packers 45 Bears 30

December 12, 2021

(Our friend Jimmy D. was at the game tonight and he had a great time. Glad I wasn’t there.)

This game had every possible bad thing the Bears are known for doing. From blowing a double-digit lead to turnovers all the way to refusing to go for it on 4th and inches, it’s all here. And let’s not forget the defense doing it’s thing by letting a team go 75 yards for a touchdown in just 45 seconds. Like, seriously. How bad do you have to be to let that happen? I don’t care if it’s the 2007 Patriots. Any NFL team that gives up a touchdown drive of 75 yards in 45 seconds is fucking atrocious.

But hey, this is the Chicago Bears. They always find a new way to lose. Leads of 10-0 and 24-14 went right down the shitter in a blink of an eye. The Bears gave up 38 points in two quarters and the defense allowed 31. Garbage.

I’m typing this up with the game still going on and Justin Fields just took a shot to the ribs. Again, why not just sit this dude and start Foot-Long Foles to take the beating?

This is fucking stupid.

There is no point for the Bears to play Justin Fields for the remainder of the season.

December 11, 2021

But, it’s going to happen. The rookie quarterback with THREE broken ribs is going to play in a meaningless game on Sunday night against the proverbial owner of the franchise, Aaron Rodgers. Fucking stupid.

Sit him for the rest of the season to heel and pray to God the Bears get lucky by getting a competent general manager and head coach next season. Instead, a 4-8 team that has to win all five remaining games and get a ton of help just to make the playoffs is going to play their only prayer for the future all for nothing. THIS TEAM WILL BE LUCKY TO WIN ONE MORE GAME ALL YEAR.

Fuck these fucking fuckers.

Poop | Cardinals 33 Bears 14 (in the 4th)

December 5, 2021

People may think I was overexaggerating a few weeks back when I said the Bears should literally fire everyone that gets a check from them. I literally said everyone from management down to the players and all the way down to the people cleaning the toilets should be canned.

Just look at the first two drives of the game for the offense. Dalton overthrows a bit only for it bounce off Jakeem Grant’s hands for an interception. The next drive, Cole Kmet has the ball bounce right off his chest as he hits the ground into the hands of a defender for another one. Before you know it, it is 14- 0 and the game is essentially over. The other two interceptions he threw were also deflected. And let’s not forget about the defense giving up big plays on 3rd and long only to end up as first downs or touchdowns along with the inability to tackle. It’s just time for everyone to go.

Everyone. Even the only guy on the team who seems to be trying in David Montgomery. Go away. Let the other players on this team go suck for another team. Let the other coaches ruin other teams.

A complete overhaul is needed. A new general manager and coaching staff is a start. Then, 53 players who aren’t currently on the team. Finish it off with new secretaries, janitors, concession stand workers and security staff. There you go. That’s how you remove a stench that’s been lingering around this franchise for the last three decades. This is the only way the Bears can have any kind of respectability as a professional football organization.

Will it happen? Of course it won’t. But George McCaskey is getting the blueprint from me. He can take it or leave it.

I am not sure if I’ll have a recap of the game. So, the floor is all yours. The forecast calls for rain.

How bad will it get?
