God save the fans. | Bears 35 Jaguars 16

October 13, 2024

It’s another one of those “they couldn’t get away with this trash against a competent team” games. Yes, I am happy they won. No, I am not satisfied with this. Mainly the offensive play-calling. Thankfully, the referees and defense bailed this team out.

Caleb Williams | Very efficient against a bad team. Four touchdown passes. The interception was shitty. As I said in the previous post, that was on Shane Waldron for the shitty call. It was 3rd and inches. It was so “Bears” that a pass play was called. This shit is fucking annoying. Caleb Williams needs to tell Shane Waldron to eat shit the next time a play like that is called in that scenario.

Shane Waldron | Read above. This guy is a fucking idiot. The game was still in reach for the Jaguars when it was 21-3 and 28-10. I forgot which drive it was in the second half. But the Bears were stopped and a “holding” penalty was called on the Jaguars. I put that in quotations because it wasn’t a penalty and yet, the referees saved them. Then a few plays later on another 3rd down stop, the Jaguars shot themselves in the foot with another holding penalty (that time, it was one). Imagine if they played a team more competent. It would be too close for comfort at the very least.

Defense | “Only” 16 points given up. First drive of the game? Points. Again, this is basically routine for this team and it needs to stop. And I’ll repeat what I said about if they played a more competent team. This defense has yet to stop a real team. We will see in two weeks if they can be better.

Doug Pedersen | I can’t stand this fucking guy. I haven’t since he was the backup for the Packers when I was growing up. Then the playoff game years ago when he coachced the Eagles. Fuck him.

Bye week is next. Then the Commanders on the road. I am going to shower and eat lunch.

Another reason to wish for Roger Goodell to get hit by a bus: Having to get up early in the morning to watch a football game because “we want to expand the game.”

Can someone tell Kevin Warren to fuck off?

October 10, 2024

Is he really at it again? We didn’t hear from him for a while. I was hoping George McCaskey put a muzzle on this guy. But there he was in England talking about something that isn’t happening on our dime.

Here he is again wanting to break ground on a new stadium next year.

For the love of God, about $640 million as of two years ago was still owed on Soldier Field. Renovations were done 23 years ago. This means this building should last another 50 years at least. Why are the Bears still asking for public funding? Even the state of Missouri rejected a new stadium for the Super Bow Champion Chiefs.

Maybe Kevin Warren should focus on the job Ryan Poles is doing like a team president is supposed to do. This franchise needs to focus on one thing only and that’s winning a Super Bowl. Enough with this new stadium shit. It’s not necessary. Going to Arlington Heights will be a disaster. Building yet another stadium on the lakefront will be a disaster. There isn’t any fucking room on the lakefront anyway. Anyone who goes there on a random day knows this.

Fuck off, Kevin.

Don’t be fooled. | Bears 36 Panthers 10

October 6, 2024

I know. I shouldn’t be down on this game. The Panthers were a M*A*S*H unit going into this game and became even more of one during it. So yes, the Bears should have beaten the piss out of them and they did exactly that.

Offense | Caleb Williams had the best game of his short career. He found D.J. Moore early and often. He had 304 yards on 20/29 passing with a 126.2 rating. Sure, it’s a can of corn against this team. Now do it against teams with top defenses. And the Shane Waldron meeting last week gave me terrible flashbacks of Lovie Smith sitting Mike Martz down many years ago with a “Come to Jesus” meeting. RUN THE BALL. They did exactly that today as well with D’Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson each getting touchdowns (Swift with two). Also, credit to Cole Kmet for a couple of crucial catches that extended drives. Having a balanced offense isn’t difficult. If Waldron uses some common sense, this team can capable of producing consistently.

Defense | Outstanding. Again, shitty team. But this is what should have happened. And seeing Kevin Byard do what other secondary players that have played for this franchise rarely do by turning around and looking at the ball on that interception was shocking. I’m like, holy shit. Someone actually covered a receiver and looked where the ball was. The defense forced four turnovers with an interception, two fumble recoveries and a turnover on downs. Gervon Dexter has been the best defensive linemen for the team all year. Again, we need to see this against actual NFL teams for me to believe the arrow is pointing up.

The only real negative I saw today were some penalties. Doug Kramer had a clipping call at the goal line in the second half that stopped them from getting a touchdown. There was also one earlier with an illegal shift on another potential touchdown (Kmet and someone else were in motion at the same time). That needs to stop.

Next Sunday is an early morning start for us as the Bears head to London to take on the Jaguars. The Jaguars got thier first win of the season today against the Colts where they put up 37 points. It won’t be easy.

Don’t be fooled. Andy Dalton has been pretty damn good the last two games and when healthy, consistent. The defense should not pull the bullshit of leaving defenders open all over the place like last week. The offense needs to stick to running the ball early and often.

Did it need to be this difficult? | Bears 24 Rams 18

September 29, 2024

Exhausted. Again, that’s what I felt this entire game. They looked like shit for the most part and yet, found a way to win. Of course, we all will take this. A report came out that Cole Kmet and others on offense had to sit down with dumbfuck Shane Waldron to tell him that his play-calling is trash. While it improved a bit today, it’s still trash overall.

Caleb Williams | He definitely needs help (see below). He continues to overthrow receivers and run backwards on other passes. This shit needs to stop. If the game plan makes him stay in the pocket, then he needs to tell Shane Waldron to fuck off.

D’Andre Swift | It’s about damn time Shane Waldron stopped being as stupid. RUN. THE. BALL. It’s not that difficult. Swift was the major contributer to this win. Some big first downs and then that long run for the touchdown. He lead the team in both rushing and receiving. I don’t think it can be like this every week. Other players need to step up.

Offensive line | If I’m Ryan Poles, next draft, use the first four or five picks on offensive linemen. I am not kidding. Nate Davis is trash and plays like he doesn’t give a shit. I am tired of Teven Jenkins and Darnell Wright having false start after false start. And all those sacks on Williams, there would have been many more to the total if it wasn’t for the referees being generous.

Defense | “Bend, but don’t break” is absolutely annoying. The Rams only punted once in this game. They got into the red zone four times. After Swift had that long run for the touchdown, the defense promptly gave up a touchdown in the grand total of 2:42. And that interception to seal the deal? Stafford clearly got smacked in the head. Next time, the referees may not be so kind. This needs to improve.

Penalties | 10 penalties of 84 yards. Inexcusable and more proof that this team lacks discipline. This is nothing new. Enough of this shit.

The Panthers are in town next week for a noon start.

Three games in and most of us here are already experiencing fatigue due to the continued incompetence of our beloved professional football team.

I have a bad feeling about this one. We could see an even lower point from the first three games they’ve played.

Every excellent performance by Jayden Daniels will prove Ryan Poles doesn’t know what he’s doing.

September 24, 2024

As most of us have seen, Jayden Daniels dominated the Bengals this past Monday. He seemed to have played calm, cool and collective. And again, the discussion has come up: Did the Bears make the right choice with Caleb Williams?

I know. It’s only three games. But the Bears have been trash all three games. Jayden Daniels has seemed to improve significantly every week.

And yes, the Bears do not have an offensive line. But guess what? Ryan Poles has had three years to fix this fucking line and hasn’t. I’m very much aware that Poles isn’t the one throwing the ball into triple coverage over and over again. But he is responsible for the shitty players that are on the field along with the shitty offensive coordinators.

It’s worse than Emery and Trestman and I am very serious. At least Phil Emery drafted Kyle Long who was a big part of the team for five or six years. Poles hasn’t found a single offensive lineman worth a damn.

Three years of Poles and Eberf-LOSE is enough. If George McCaskey cares about this franchise, he will send both of these idiots packing right now.

Annoyed | Colts 21 Bears 16

September 22, 2024

Where do you want to start? The interceptions by Williams? Him overthrowing and underthrowing countless times? Or how about throwing in double and triple coverage? The shitty offensive line?

Here’s a surprise: I am not going to blame the defense. The last two touchdowns were off of a shitty penalty on a punt and then the strip sack on Williams that gave the Colts a short field. It’s “Vintage Bears” with the defense giving the team a chance to win and the offense is garbage. And yes, the defense had a chance to stop the Colts at the 2:00 warning. But when they are exhausted as they were, fuck it.

Shane Waldron is a fucking idiot. Early on in the game, they would run the ball for six yards. Next play is a pass? Why? Just keep running until the other team stops you. Nope. Let’s just pass for an incomplete and eventually, punting it away.

Teven Jenkins is not very good at football. Too many penalties and he can’t guard anyone. Last I checked, his position is “guard” and he can’t do that very simple task.

The Colts had so many penalties that gave the Bears so many chances to take control of this game. We’ve seen this so many times over the years.

Matt Eberf-LOSE is a fucking idiot. They finally score a touchdown and he calls a timeout? Hey, dumbass. There’s only 8:41 left in the game and your team is still trailing. Either have your team ready to go for two or get the field goal unit out there. Confusion on the sidelines in that manner is a sign of lack of communication. That’s on you, dipshit.

This team lacks communication, discipline and urgency. Again, this is the same shit we’ve seen for DECADES. Why won’t this ever be different? With the way other teams in the division and conference are starting off, there is absolutely no way they make the playoffs now.

And last, but not least, Justin Fields and the Steelers are 3-0. This is proof that it’s an organizational failure of drafting and developing players.

I think this will be that one game of the season where the Bears are given a two or three touchdown lead and promptly blow it. We will see what happens.
