I know I will sound ridiculous to many. I play Madden religiously at the start of every season. So when I watched today’s game, I thought to myself “this is exactly how I play Madden.” I think this season when the Bears won the Super Bowl, I think I only passed about 70 times the entire season. And most of those passes were short slants when I know I needed a few yards to extend drives. It worked. Everytime.

It’s simple. Run the ball when you need just a yard. Nothing fancy. Pass when needed. We don’t need 50-yard passes down the field. And guess what? It works in real life.

Tyson Bagent was just outstanding. Yes, a bit too conservative at times with the calls. We can’t expect Luke Getsy to do a completely competent job. He extended drives on short passes and even his own feet at times. It was what I felt he could do during the preseason. The offense just seemed to have so much more energy with him than Fields. Keep this guy starting even if Fields is healthy. The running game was great. D’Onta Foreman was playing with poise. I know the “FIRE AND PASSION” is joked around these parts of the internet. But he seriously plays with it. Darrynton Evans too. WHERE WAS THIS SHIT THE FIRST FOUR GAMES OF THE YEAR?

Alright, now on to the stupidity of the day because it’s not a Bears game without it. Darnell Wright? Total bust. False starts and he’s a turnstile. Seeing him try to pass block makes my eyes bleed. Tyrique Sevenson? This guy can’t defend anyone to save his life. TURN THE FUCK AROUND YOU DIPSHIT. Davonte Adams was open most of the day and if the Raiders had a decent quarterback, it would have been much worse.

Penalties. Just horrendous. I don’t give a shit if Jaylon Johnson had two interceptions during “garbage time.” There was that pass interference in the third quarter that was so blatant. TURN THE FUCK AROUND. How ridiculous has this been the last two decades? He didn’t start doing anything worth a damn until after this call. He’s not worthy of an extension until he shows he can actually cover a receiver consistently. False starts, holding and pass interference, oh my!

As you can see kids, football isn’t rocket science. It’s a fairly simple game. Run the ball efficiently, pass when needed, cover receivers rather than wander around, you get the point. It’s too bad that this didn’t start happening until the season is nearly halfway over.

This Sunday, we will get to see a better quarterback in Tyson Bagent starting. The garbage play-calling by incompetent coaches is what will limit his success. It’s very unfortunate. But there is a solution to this. And hopefully, the players will be on board because let’s be honest: their next contracts aren’t guaranteed.

This past Sunday, we witnessed more of that incompetent play-calling with both Fields and Bagent playing. First, I mentioned in the recap how it was the two-minute warning and the first play out of that is a pass. It was 2nd and 2 or whatever. Fields got hit on the throw for an interception with the Vikings promptly driving down the field for an easy touchdown. Instead of getting some points out of that drive to close out the half, Getsy’s dumbass changed the momentum of the game. Then with Bagent in, the Bears were again poised to score late to tie the game and possibly force overtime. What happened? Pass play on first down late while the clock was being controlled. Interception. This franchise found yet another way to lose.

So what’s the solution to this? Rebel. The players need to go against the garbage that the coaches give. It the play doesn’t make sense, don’t do it. If it’s 2nd and inches and that dipshit Getsy calls a pass play, Bagent needs to tell the team in the huddle that they are doing the quarterback sneak or giving it to the running back up the middle. Call the audibles. Again, Bagent isn’t guaranteed shit after this season and those other players aren’t either. What are the coaches going to do? Bench all 11 players on the field? It’s not like this franchise holds anyone accountable anyway. Fuck them and go against it. We’ve seen players like Nick Foles blatantly call out the coaches years ago for saying plays that are being called never have a chance at working. So what more can they lose?

Same goes for the defense. If Eberf-Lose is calling some scheme where the secondary wanders around not covering anybody, switch to actually playing football by covering receivers. I’ve witnessed enough of the “Cover Who?” defense with Lovie Smith coaching all of those years. I’m tired of it.

We’re going to find out if these players have any balls or not. This advice I give the Bears is free of charge. Impress us all here or continue to be losers.

Fuck this entire coaching staff. Even though a bunch of these players suck, they put whatever good players they have in a position to fail. Eberf-LOSE and Getsy need to go fuck themselves.

Tyson Bagent enters and the line can’t protect him. Then the next drive, it’s 2 and 1. BUBBLE SCREEN. THEN ANOTHER ONE. Then stopped on 4th down. Done.

RUN. THE. MOTHERFUCKING. BALL. YOU. PIECES. OF. WORTHLESS. SHIT.

I mean, I can’t fucking understand this. The Bears aren’t coming back to win this game because the defense enjoys meeting their quota of giving up points on the first and last drives of the half. Last game was an exception. Bu the other 15-16 games? Same old shit. What competent defense gives up 76 yards in a minute and a half for a touchdown?

Look at what happened during the two-minute warning in the first half. It was 2nd and short and Getsy calls a pass play? Yep. Interception and then a touchdown ensued after.

Fuck Darnell Wright. A fucking turnstyle. Worthless bum.

The sun is out. I am going to walk the dog and do some cleaning.

It’s hockey season.

Even if the score held up at 27-3 and/or became a blowout, it changes nothing. This team is rotten trash. After tying the largest blown game in franchise history on Sunday at 21, the Bears tried to outdo that by blowing a larger lead at 24. And if it wasn’t for a lucky break on a two-point conversion and missed field goal, the Bears lose this game.

Tyrique Stevenson needs to fuck off. Two pass interference penalties tonight and he could have had at least one more. Just unbelievable. Save the “he’s a rookie” bullshit. I believe two calls were with passes that were way out of reach. The no-call was so damn obvious, Stevie Wonder would have noticed it. I get the secondary is depleted with injuries. Greg Stroman was great in the first half with that interception before halftime. Everyone else? Roaming around not covering receivers and missing tackles in the second half. I believe the defense gave up over 300 yards in the second half.

I have to also point out the strip that the Bears recovered in the third. Instead of running the ball, they went three passes and punted. Next drive for the Commanders? Touchdown. The offense repeated the garbage from last week: Dominate the first half and become non-existent in the second half. That last touchdown to D.J. Moore was damn near intercepted. Just absolutely frustrating. This is another reason why box scores are deceiving at times.

Part of me was just ready for the Bears to completely blow it. I joked with our good friend Jimmy D. earlier when he was texting me how I thought the game would go. I told him they would get their asses kicked and Eber-LOSE would have been given an extension tomorrow morning. That’s what we as fans have come to expect from this football “franchise.”

This team should be 2-3 now. Due to the blown game on Sunday, they are 1-4. Anyone think they are going to beat the Vikings in ten days? If you say “yes,” you’re either delusional or lying. This season can’t end fast enough.

As if this season wasn’t already a shitshow, the news broke about an hour ago that Dick Butkus has left the world. He was there much before my time, but I’ve heard so many stories and have seen countless footage of him playing hard on every snap.

He was a man who ate, slept and breathed the Chicago Bears since he came to the team. I am not here to make jokes. But I truly believe that this pathetic dis-organization’s lack of success in recent memory did a number on him as well as some others in recent years. For guys like him and Doug Buffone, no one loved the Bears more than those guys did. It’s unfortunate.

I knew it. I just knew it. As soon as the Broncos began that drive down 28-7, they had a couple of big gains. I just knew it.

You can blame Getsy for that idiotic pass play that lead to a fumble and score to tie it. You can also blame the defense for completely falling apart in the second half.

You can also blame Darnell Wright for his penalties. Same goes for Getsy on the 4th and 1. Fields was there to run the ball himself. Everyone knew Herbert was getting it.

I am writing this recap as Wilson just threw a pass for a huge gain. It’s at the two-minute warning. I already know the Broncos are going to score and win.

It’s very unfortunate that we are in this position as fans for yet, another season. I’ve been consciously watching the Bears the last 32 years. It just seems to get worse every year. This makes me wish Dave Wannstedt was the coach and we all know how shitty his teams were.

Also, Nathan Peterman is still on the team. Instead of working the cash register at a Walgreen’s like God intended him to, he’s making millions in the NFL to continue being the statistically worst quarterback in NFL history.
