Shane Waldron is coming to town to try to fix the most offensively inept franchise in NFL history.

Here we go again with another offensive coordinator. And as it went for the 150 offensive coordinators before him, we are wanting him to not be “offensive” to what an offense should look like.

As Dave mentioned in the previous thread, he somehow resurrected Geno Smith’s career after many shitty seasons.

We still don’t know what the Bears are going to do with that first pick. One would think it will either be Caleb Williams or Marvin Harrison Jr. The issue with this is that we know that no matter what the decision is, it will be the wrong one. At least that’s what history tells us. You would think it would actually turn around one of these years. But this team continues to draft busts.

This is it for Poles and Eberf-LOSE. A competent owner/CEO would tell these two to win the Super Bowl or they are gone. Anything less is a failure.

Well, one of the two clowns was fired. Will the Bears find a competent offensive coordinator?

As the first weekend of the playoffs are here, we are wishing the Bears were in the mix. Instead, they are home watching these games.

The Bears canned a sad excuse for an offensive coordinator in Luke Getsy. So here is a cry for help from the fans:

PLEASE FIND AN OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR WHO WILL CALL A RUN PLAY UP THE MIDDLE ON THIRD AND INCHES. PLEASE.

What’s taking so long to fire these two clowns?

I just don’t get it. Eberf-LOSE is responsible for blowing three double-digit fourth quarter leads. Luke Getsy is responsible for the ineptitude that is the offense of the Bears.

What more evidence does Ryan Poles need to see that these two need to take a hike? They had a chance to prove themselves worthy on the final day of the season against a rival team. The result? Dog farts.

A rational head coach wins those three games that were blown. A rational head coach puts the Bears in the playoffs with a chance to win the Super Bowl.

We have finally reached the end of yet, another putrid season. This is frustrating.

Are we being fooled?

Beating up on two sub-par teams in a row can still mislead many.

Justin Fields can look like Houdini as many have said after a play where he escapes a sack. But what happens when he overthrows a receiver or holds onto the ball too long?

That’s exactly it. He shows flashes of brilliance and before we know it, he’s fumbling the ball or throwing a terrible pass. Certainly, a shitty offensive coordinator has a lot to do with it. But remember what I said months ago about players defying coaches? This is the problem.

When that interception was thrown against the Cardinals on a first down, common sense says the ball should have been given to a running back. Instead, Fields throws a poor pass for an interception in the end zone. If Fields was smarter, he would have defied the shitty offensive coordinator and told the players that they are going to give it to Herbert or whomever was lined up.

I don’t see why the Bears still can’t draft a quarterback and keep Fields for at least one more year. Maybe if the horrible excuse for an offensive coordinator is fired, maybe the new one will be competent. Then again, since it’s the Bears making the decisions, probably not. But this franchise owes it to their fans to have an insurance policy just in case Fields regresses. I love  me some Tyson Bagent. However, if someone is better and available, they should absolutely go for it.

And if Fields ends up kicking ass? Great. Then the Bears can trade that quarterback for some picks.

Your thoughts in the thread.

I know. I know. The Bears are awful and won’t make the playoffs. But at least it’s still interesting.

A Bears win followed by losses from the Rams, Seahawks, Vikings keeps them alive going into the last game of the season.

Or, losses by the Saints, Packers, Rams and Seahawks would also keep them alive for the final game. This scenario puts them in a game with the Packers where the winner gets the consolation prize playoff spot.

The Bears still have a chance to make the playoffs. Here’s how.

Along with needing to win the final two games, what is below also needs to happen.

I just can’t understand why it’s like this every year. It’s seriously depressing.

I think the Bears can be eliminated from playoff contention before they even take the field. They have nobody to blame but themselves for the three games this year they blew.

The Bears can win these last three games by 40 points and it still won’t change the fact that Ryan Poles and Matt Eberf-Lose are incompetent hacks.

I’m annoyed.

This is where we are at. Again. The Bears are 5-9 with their playoff chances all but gone.

Shades of 2008 and 2012. The Bears blowing quite a few games that will make the difference. So many wasted chances. Pissed away thanks to many, mainly the incompetent coaches. They have tied an NFL record for most blown games after leading by double-digits in the fourth quarter.

I’m tired of these assholes ruining my day. I lose motivation to do shit around my house the rest of the day when games like this happen. No, it’s not “just a game.” I hate when people say that. For just over 30 years, I watched terrible teams year in and year out.

EVERYONE is to be blame here. I feel like I have written this same damn article every year and I probably have. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CAN THIS TEAM PLEASE STOP DOING THIS SHIT?

Seriously, what will it take to have a defense that doesn’t shit their pants late in games every damn time? What will it take to have a competent offensive coordinator? What will it take to have coaches who know how to manage the clock rather than give other teams a chance with plenty of time?

I don’t care what anyone else says. It’s time for Justin Fields to go. No, he’s not going to be a superstar here. Maybe somewhere else. But never here. We can’t keep saying “he shows flashes” all the time. He has that “Chicago Bears Quarterback Syndrome” in which he overthrows receivers countless times. Again, maybe he will figure it out one day and it won’t be with the Bears if he does.

Fire the entire management from Poles down to all of the coaches. Bring in a new general manager and let him pick the quarterback. They Bears SHOULD have the first or second pick this year. That should give this franchise a reset. After that, tell Jaylon Johnson to either sign for the league minimum for a year or fuck off. Tyrique Stevenson can eat shit. Find two players in the secondary who promise to turn around when covering a receiver.

We can’t keep dealing with this. We can’t continue to watch this team blow 21-point leads and fall apart in crucial times. Only one game this year, they played a complete game. Through 14 games, that’s not very good. It’s time to clean house.

The consolation seventh playoff spot is still up for grabs thanks to the Vikings losing yesterday. Can the Bears inch closer to that spot?
