Bears vs. Vikings thread

Like last week, I will be minimally invested in this game as I will be doing other shit. Feel free to write your own recap in the comments. You can even write it before the game starts since we all know how this will probably fare.

Let this team lose out. They aren’t that far from getting a top five pick. Not like it matters anyway. But hey, maybe they will luck out. Shut down Caleb Williams. There isn’t a need to let him play in these four meaningless games remaining.

I think Laurence Holmes of The Score said last week that some players were making “business decisions” against the 49ers. I can’t disagree there. The players have mailed it in.

This game will be another example. They will lose 31-10 and the defense will continue it’s usual “give up points on the first drive of the game” schtick. Fuck these assholes.

Bill Belichick is out of the running for head coach of the Bears.

I think most of us were shocked that he took a job at the college level with North Carolina. Does anyone else think he would have been interested if management was competent? He probably saw the disaster from afar and thought better of it.

That leaves Lions’ offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as the only legitimate option as of now. I highly doubt Bills’ offensive coordinator Joe Brady would be available. I don’t want Mike Vrabel, Marcus Freeman.

Regardless, expect the Bears to make the wrong decision by hiring an unknown coordinator and annointing him “a leader of men.”

Fuck Kevin Warren.

Quitters | 49ers 38 Bears 13

Is anyone surprised? I’m certainly not.

The truth is, as it has been for the last three decades, this is a complete effort from management down to the players when it comes to the losing. Everyone is a loser. Today, the patented “I-Pass” defense was present. Always giving up points on the first drive of the game. Seriously. Find a recap of a game I’ve done in the last 16 years where that wasn’t the case. Maybe you can count on one hand where the defense actually showed up from start-to-finish.

The defense gave up 38 points. For what is supposed to be a “vaunted defense” turns in the same old garbage.

Look at the 49ers and all the other teams that have struggled. Playing the Bears helps any struggling team get on a roll afterwards. The biggest example I can think of is the 2007-08 Giants. They struggled at the start and when they played the Bears, they pulled one out. After that, they went on to make the playoffs and eventually, the Super Bowl.

This year, you can look at the Washington Football Commanding Team. They are certainly going to the playoffs and have taken a step forward since playing the Bears. Now, the 49ers look poised to fight for the playoffs. Don’t be surprised if this game sends them on a roll.

I am just exhausted. I feel like I’m repeating myself with so many of these things. Yes, the dumbfuck was fired after Thanksgiving. And instead of using it as motivation. Instead, Caleb Williams getting sacked on every drive at least once and the defense refuses to play defense. This team quit.

At the end of the season, this entire coaching staff needs to go. And a ton of players need to go with them. An entirely new offensive line needs to be drafted. An entirely new secondary is needed whether it’s the draft, trade or free agency. This team is FAR from contending.

It’s too late to make the playoffs as we all know. Is there anything to be excited about?

Thomas Brown gets his audition to be head coach. If somehow pull off four or all five remaining games for a victory, does he stay?

There are only two options the Bears should choose for head coach.

December 2, 2024 by

In the previous thread, our loyal frendt Dave listed candiates for the next coach and asked who we would want to take over this piss-poor franchise.

As we all know, this season is done. Five games to go and four total games out of the consolation-prize Wild Card spot, it would take a circumstance beyond an act of God for the Bears to make the playoffs.

So now, we focus on the next head coach this offseason. Thomas Brown is supposedly on the list if he proves to be competent. The jury is still out on that.

But I strongly feel the Bears should start with a clean slate. If Thomas Brown is retained as the offensive coordinator, I’d be fine with that. But no one else. I don’t have faith in Eric Washington as defensive coordinator due to the constant collapes and lack of awareness on that side of the ball. Yes, we all know that the idiot head coach who is now “future endeavored” ultimately cost the team the season. But it was his defense.

The two options are Bill Belichick and Ben Johnson. Belichick should be the first choice. If he tells them no, then the Bears should focus on the offensive coordinator the Lions in Ben Johnson.

Money shouldn’t be a factor. The Bears should hand either of those guys a blank check and let them fill in the numbers.

You already know Belichick is more than capable of putting a team in a position to contend. With Johnson, you see the progress the Lions have made. Some even thought Jared Goff was finished after his tenure with the Rams. He’s still very good.

The two the Bears should stay as far way as possible from are Kliff Kingsbury and Mike Vrabel. Both have proven to be abject failures in their previous head coaching positions.

The Bears have flushed the Flus!

The Bears finally took my advice! (Sarcasm)

What took so long to fire this idiot? They still need to get rid of the idiot general manager who didn’t fire him last year.

Don’t stop now, McCaskeys. Poles needs to fuck off as well.

You see the look of this coach? This is the look of a loser.

The Matt Eberf-lose disater-era needs to end. Now.

First, a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you readers here. I appreciate the interactions with all of you.

Not sure there will be a recap today since I’ll be busy. So feel free to add your own recap of sorts in the comments.

This could be a real ugly game. So bad, that Matt Eberf-Lose will probably get a contract extension immediately after they lose 35-13 and then tell the media that they are “close” to fixing everything.

The Sun Times has echoed what we have been saying for years on this site.

Where do you want to start? Vikings 30 Bears 27

November 24, 2024 by

It’s another week where a team capitalizes on the stupidity of the Chicago Bears. So where do we start as fans?

How about when the offense finally takes the lead first in a game, the defense immediately gives up a touchdown?

Do you want to talk about yet, another blocked field goal? How about that blocked field goal that lead to a touchdown?

How about DeAndre Carter fucking up a punt that lead to yet, another touchdown?

Well, let’s talk about that shitty defense that just can’t get stops when they matter the most? Towards the end of a game and two different 3rd and long plays end up with first downs. From two different quarterbacks.

When the Bears finally score, Matt Eberf-Lose goes for two? Daryl Johnston was talking about that call and saying it was a good play because of the “anaylytics.” Fuck the analytics. You go with the play that is common sense and puts you in a better position to win. Not like it mattered at the end. Fuck this.

Thomas Brown, while much better than Shane Waldron, still had some horrible calls. They only scored 16 points until a miracle last two minutes that just extended this shitty game. That’s called poor execution. They had it setup for many more points and failed.

How many costly penalties were there for this team in the game? Again, all of these problems is on the coaching staff. It’s the coaches who are responsible for instilling discipline and common sense to this team. They have failed time and time again.

Let’s fast-forward to overtime, shall we? Caleb Williams holds the ball too damn long for a sack. Then a delay of game. Punt.

Then again, there is that shitty defense letting the team down when it matters the most. Game over.

Five losses in a row. Even if the Bears won out, they still wouldn’t make the playoffs.
