Anemic offense | Bears 26 Saints 14

October 19, 2025 by

Let’s be honest: If this was any other team the Bears played today, it’s a loss. It was 20-0 when it should have been 30-0.

This offense was absolutely trash. Ben Johnson is making shitty play calls and Caleb Williams doesn’t get a pass either. He made some really stupid decisions. There were occasions where he could have easily ran and instead, he’s out slinging the ball for an interception or a slinging it for an incompletion. The running game was working all day and when they should have ran it, they passed. It is inexcusable asking Jake Moody to kick four field goals when they had the ball in the red zone several times. Thankfully, that was the difference.

Credit to the running backs in Swift, Monangai and Johnson for getting some significant runs that extended drives. Swift and Monangai both had touchdowns as well. For Kyle Monangai, it was the first of his career. Props to Colston Loveland for making a catch on 4th down that sealed the game. Williams needs to be better for a full game.

The defense? Well, for the most part, outstanding. Forcing four turnovers (three interceptions and a fumble recovery). It’s too bad the offense couldn’t get going. Yeah, I am going to be pissed at them for taking their foot off the gas before halftime. A touchdown in less than a minute before the half and when the second half started, another one. Inexcusable. The defense bailed the shitty offense out of several bad situations.

One other thing I wanted to mention is the Bears got away with that false start at the goal line. This offensive line needs to play better. Too many penalties and I know the refs were trash once again. But Drew Dalman fucking up like that multiple times in the game could have been the difference.

This game was way closer than it should have been. The Bears should have been up 30-0 at halftime and win the game 40-10. Instead, this is what we witnessed. This team is fucked next week if Lamar Jackson is back for the Ravens.

The rain should be done by the time this game gets underway. The Saints are not to be taken lightly.

Overcoming stupidity | Bears 25 Commanders 24

October 13, 2025 by

I am absolutely shocked. Happy, but still shitting my pants after this one. The Bears weren’t supposed to win this game nor did they deserve to. This game seemed all but over when it became 24-16 early in the 4th quarter.

This had it all for what is known as the Chicago Bears. There were plenty of dumb penalties. There was stupid play-calling by Ben Johnson. A dropped pass. There was awful coverage on defense that lead to a touchdown. A blocked field goal as well. The referees were also doing what they could to stop the Bears. Again, typical Chicago Bears football. The odds were against them.

Thankfully, Caleb Williams once again, overcame bad coaching. How many times has he done this even when they lost last year? Fuck. And for anyone who thought Jayden Daniels was better than Caleb? Eat shit. This dude finds ways to win despite the horseshit around him. Jake Moody saved the day when Cairo Santos was out. Both of these guys are the players of this game. Give honorable mention for D’Andre Swift as he had some huge runs especially on the last drive. He also had a great reception that turned into a touchdown.

The defense did their job on the first two drives of the game. It turned into 10 points? After, it was quite the adventure. The offense for the Commanders wasn’t all that great either. But they were getting big plays when the secondary decided not to cover any receivers. Montez Sweat showed up when it mattered the most as he caused a fumble recovery. Nashaun Wright? This guy deserves more credit. He had the pick six on opening night. He recovered the final fumble that lead to the game-winning drive.

For Ben Johnson, what the fuck is this guy thinking? There isn’t a need to try some fuckery on a 4th and 1 that gets deflected for an incomplete. The running game was doing well for a change. RUN THE BALL. Again, thankfully, Caleb overcame this stupidity and lead the Bears down for Moody to get the game-winner.

The Saints are up next at home.

Your thoughts in the thread.

Bears vs. Commanders Thread | Returning to the scene of the crime

One year later, the Bears are back in the Nation’s capital. We all know what happened.

Want to try to lessen the frustration?  Go out and play four full quarters. Stop being stupid. Cover your receivers. Stop with the cute fuckery on offense. Run the damn ball using two running backs. Don’t take the foot off the gas.

Grady Jarrett seems to be the only player out for this game. Injuries aren’t an excuse anyway.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Bye-week thread

October 4, 2025 by

I prefer the NFL adopt a universal bye-week rather than spread it over eight or nine weeks. Maybe after Week 8? Just give every team off for one week and give fans a break. Then again, Roger Goodell and the owners never have any logical thoughts. And yes, I am still annoyed at the oversaturation of this league with extra games, playoff teams and whatever other stupid ideas that they have had.

Now onto our favorite football team. Even if the Bears were 3-1, which is what they should be, I still wouldn’t be excited. So at 2-2, I still don’t see them getting more than four or five total wins on the season. This team is total trash and Ryan Poles has made it worse than his predecessor. That is humiliating. Imagine Ryan Poles being the worst general manager this franchise has ever seen. Even Phil fucking Emery had Pro Bowlers that he drafted. Same for Ryan Pace. Ryan Poles is a dork who is responsible for this franchise having the longest losing streak in it’s history. Twice.

Does it have to be this difficult? | Bears 25 Raiders 24

September 28, 2025 by

The short answer is “no.”

Look, I am stoked the Bears won despite the fact that I should schedule an appointment with a cardiologist tomorrow. Yesterday, the Illini pissed all over themselves and ended up finding a way to win. Today, I had a feeling it would be something similar.

The defense did it’s job in the first half. If someone simply looked at the stats (cue Yeti), you would think the Bears would have won by 30. Instead, despite all of the horseshit play-calling by Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams found a way to give the team the lead. Then, the special teams had a miracle in them by blocking Daniel Carlson’s field goal at the end. Bears win.

Caleb Williams was not the best in the first half. He was getting numerous passes batted down with one being an interception. On that same play, DeAndre Swift was wide open down the seem and yet, he was trying to pass to someone else. Again, not all his fault on some of those plays. We all thought after last year, the defense was going to find a way to fuck it up at the end. We as fans of this team don’t get many of these kinds of games where they actually pull it out. So I will enjoy it.

This offensive line is absolute trash. Ryan Poles “fixed” this line? All of that money is wasted. Out of the tens or even hundreds of players who are free agents currently, is there not ONE lineman that is better than any of the five currently playing? This is all on Ryan Poles who signed, traded for and drafted all of these busts. Caleb Williams found a way to win despite this shitty line.

Despite Cairo Santos fucking up in the season opener, he did his job today. Four field goals in awful situations due to the amount of penalties and fuck-ups by the offensive line. It’s like they did it on purpose because they wanted to see Santos kick longer field goals. Must be entertaining to them.

This bye-week comes at a time where maybe these injured players will heal. And maybe when they all come back, they will be competent NFL players. Maybe?

Well, apparently everyone is injured this week. Theo Benedet will get his first start in place of Darnell Wright. Will Benedet play well or will he fulfill Wright’s quota of at least three penalties a game?

Not impressed: Bears 31 Cowboys 14

September 22, 2025 by

Three close friends and I went to this game together and we had a great time. One is a Cowboys fan and we all felt it wouldn’t matter what the outcome was. As I said last week, the season is done. I went into this game with no expectations. I am happy they won, especially since Matt Eberf-LOSE was on the other side as the defensive coordinator.

The problem with this game? I’ve seen this before. I’ve seen a young quarterback for the Bears throw multiple touchdowns in a game. Remember Mitch Trubisky throwing for six touchdowns in a game against the Buccaneers? Or that game two years with Justin Fields tearing up the Redskins/Commanders/Football Team? Now let me say, I still think Caleb is much better than those two. This team should have had at least four more wins last year with Caleb driving the team down the field. It was other circumstances that caused the team to lose those ones.

The defense is still a fucking mess. And apparently, there are more injuries. Giving up big plays and thankfully, the Cowboys stalled. Against this defense? Sheesh.

To my good friend and reader of the site Dave, sorry. Not going to change my stance on Tyrique Stevenson. Ripping the ball away doesn’t take away all of the stupid he’s done prior to that. He can help the Bears win the Super Bowl and I will still say he should have been cut last year. And since the Bears will never make the Super Bowl with him on the team, he can fuck off.

The offense, well, still not happy. Darnell Wright seems to have a quota in his contract that he must commit at least three penalties a game. Keep in mind, Ryan Poles drafted this guy in the first round.

The Bears go to Oakland Los Angeles Oakland Las Vegas to take on the Raiders.

I can’t blame the offense. Really. The defense has let this team down the first two games of the season. How is the offense supposed to be confident when they get the ball already down 7-0? And then down 21-7?

It’s hard to win when the defense has given up 77 points in the first two games combined.

I’ll be at this game to witness the mediocrity in person once again.

Ben Johnson’s birth name was actually Marc Trestman.

September 15, 2025 by

I wouldn’t tell a lie, folks.

Also, Ben Johnson’s name has been added to the header. That’s right. I’ve already had enough of this “offensive genius”. Much like Marc Trestman, there is no offense and the defense will be giving up 40 points per game on average.

I am sure Ben has his “toolbox of concepts” ready to go.
