Call it luck if you want but the Chicago Blackhawks are in the playoffs. They will take on the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday night. We all know this isn’t the same Blackhawks team that took on the Canucks last year but as we have seen in the last few years, all an NHL team has to do is get into the playoffs and anything can happen.

Let’s do this again.
April 12, 2011So apparently, Marty Turco sucks at betting too.
April 6, 2011From Yahoo! Sports site Puck Daddy.
Here are the Blackhawks hanging on for life in the playoffs and shitty goalie/wagerer Marty Turco is betting with a Habs fan that his team is going to win. Nice going turd. The Blackhawks have a two point lead over the Stars and Flames with just three games to go against the Blues and Red Wings (twice). They must get at least three points in these next two games to clinch a playoff spot. Hang on.

March 30, 2011Recap from Monday night.
March 29, 2011All I have to say is that this was the biggest Monday Night Raw in at least five years. The crowd was loud all night and it was amazing. The roof came off the Allstate Arena when The Rock’s music hit. Unbelievable. My signs made the camera many times on RAW and will do so on Smackdown! for this Friday. I met up with our friend from Falls Count Anywhere and on that site, there will be a more detailed recap in the next few days. Until then, here are a couple of snapshots from my DVR:

WWE Raw at the Allstate Arena tonight.
March 28, 2011Yours truly will be there in the third row near the center of the ring on the TV side. Lady Fro is unfortunately under the weather and not going to be able to make it so I ended up giving my other ticket to a long time friend of mine. Two sections over from us will be our good guys from Falls Count Anywhere. For you wrestling fans, check out that site. Good stuff. We will both have recaps and possibly some pictures to put up in the next few days. Until then, here are the two signs that we will try to get on TV tonight:

We must a make statement.

March 22, 2011March Madness
March 17, 2011It’s that time of year again. The weather is getting nice and the NCAA Tournament is about to get started.
This year is a bit different. I don’t know if it’s because I am three years removed from college or the fact that the Illini really suck (more on them in a bit) but I am not totally into watching all of the games like I was in year’s past. The games will be on the TV at work but I probably won’t be as excited as before.
Now onto those great Illini. How in the hell did they get into the tournament? Their 19-13 record isn’t anything to be happy about. I was one who defended Bruce Weber and decided to be patient. I would have to say barring any miracle this year, Bruce Weber needs to go. This program like their football, needs a new start. Because the Illini have been so bad the last few years, I believe that is the reason I have lost some interest in following college basketball. Weber leads the Illini to a National Championship game with Bill Self’s players and Self seems to be doing just fine in Kansas. How frustrating.
Regardless, I still did a bracket for ESPN’s tournament challenge. I don’t really have that many upsets. I picked UNC, Duke, Kansas and Wisconsin? to make the Final Four. Duke is my pick to win it all. As the tournament goes every year, there will probably be a team or two that we didn’t think would win a single game end up going deep.

We all love Ed Belfour; Probably one of my favorite players growing up. Here is his Eagle mask.

March 9, 2011We returned home earlier in the week from Canada. The lady and I met some great people over there and it was really one of the best places I have visited. On Saturday, we went the CN Tower and had the chance to step onto the glass floor like the Sears Tower has. It was pretty cool. There is a restaurant on the bottom level of the tower called “Baton Rouge”. That place has the best fries…ever. We will get some pictures up real soon.
Until then, whatever is on your mind, fire away.
Off to Canada.
March 3, 2011Lady Fro and myself are heading to Communism’s second home for a few days. We will be watching the Blackhawks take on the Maple Leafs Saturday night as well as checking out the Hockey Hall of Fame and a few other tourist attractions.
In the meantime, I am counting on you guys to hold down the fort by keeping testicle-less turds like Mike Douche at bay.
We should be back next week and will put some pictures up from the trip. Until then, have a good weekend everybody.
