After hearing that Brian Hoyer was going to San Francisco to continue his shitty NFL career, Bears General Manager Ryan Pace decided he wanted an even shittier quarterback on the team to start. Now, Mike Glennon is all but signed to the Bears and for a ridiculous amount of money.

Third overall pick? Nope. That’s apparently not enough motivation to draft a quarterback who could possibly be the starter for the next 10-15 years. Don’t even think about it, Bears nation. Why? Because this organization doesn’t believe that teams get built through the draft. It’s spend money on free agents who are either young and shitty or old and shitty. And they are dishing out the money like nothing. Well, I guess that’s what happens when they continue to raise ticket prices. It’s more money for these overpaid pieces of shit.

No, I am not overreacting. I feel the Bears should get either DeShaun Watson or DeShone Kizer to be the starter. Will they be awesome? I have no idea. But, anyone is better than Mike Glennon or even the departed (and shitty) Brian Hoyer. Getting Watson or Kizer would cost the Bears a tenth of what Glennon would and have way more potential.

The Bears will have high draft picks for the next two years and here they are, throwing money away on free agents when they could be drafting franchise players. What happens if those players turn out to be pretty fucking good? Oops. All that money that would be needed to re-sign these good players was wasted on shitty free agents the year(s) before.

Mike Glennon fucking sucks. He couldn’t do shit in Tampa Bay and now, Ryan Pace thinks he can start? The Bears are better off going back to Cutler and Connor Shaw for another year if they aren’t going to draft a quarterback.

With this move, it doesn’t appear the Bears are going to draft a quarterback.

This is the most embarrassing franchise in the NFL. And need I remind you, the 49ers just signed Brian Fucking Hoyer. You would think they have that title of most embarrassing. Nope. The Bears hold that title and they hold it proudly.

The circus of suck continues at Halas Hall. Ryan Pace has no idea what the fuck he is doing.

This article is going to be a bit off-topic from what we usually talk about on here. Before anything else, I will say that I have been wanting to rant about this for quite a while. I figured while things are slow, I’d finally get to it.

Many of you have noticed over the last couple of years that almost every damn website has changed drastically in regards to format/design/layout. It’s become annoying and truly awful. Even my own damn phone updated it’s software and damn, it sucks.

Maybe I am a creature of habit, but with all of these changes, my computer has slowed down big time. I’ve had to turn off the Flash Player just so I can get a website to run promptly. And that’s also with a brand new laptop too.

I know I started to see these changes two or three years ago and now, it’s become even worse. It’s almost as if companies actually think these changes are making their websites better. In reality, it’s making it even shittier. I’ve seen it with websites such as ESPN, NHL and NFL. Last year, it really pissed me off with how the NHL changed their website drastically. It was just fine before and now, it lags constantly.

The other day, my phone upgraded it’s software. It’s the same fucking shit with just sending a text message now.

Then, there is this website that you are reading this article on right now. Take a good look at it. For eight years, this has remained the exact same. The same layout, colors, whatever else. It’s there. When I log in to make a post like this or comment, the administration page has changed big time too. Posting articles and uploading pictures has become a clusterfuck. It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous. Fuck you, WordPress. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.

I don’t know if any of you feel the same way about all of these websites changing, but I am pretty damn happy that I don’t want nor need to change anything up. Sure, it’s sucks some of the regulars over the years have left. But I know a lot of you still read this place and probably appreciate that nothing has changed about this place. It doesn’t slow down my computer. It probably doesn’t for you guys, either. It’s one of the few places on the internet that I love coming to. And as always, it’s all gratitude from me to all of you for reading.

The worst season for the Chicago Bears since the NFL went to a 16-game season will result in higher ticket prices for the fans.

The Bears know they have a lot of the season ticket holders by the balls. Why? Because most of those seats are owned by the ticket holders themselves through PSL’s (personal seat licensing). The fans can sell their seats to other people, but if I am not mistaken, can’t give them back to the Bears. So, in short, the fans are stuck putting down payments on those seats months before the season even starts. If the Bears actually have a shot at the playoffs, seat owners must also pay in full before that begins.

George, Ted and the rest of the crew must be dancing in their beautiful offices in Lake Forest while the team continues to suck on the field.

Oh, and according to K.C. Johnson of the Tribune, the Bulls are standing pat with John Paxson and Gar Forman in charge regardless of how this season goes. You cannot make this shit up!

Patriots vs. Falcons

Who do you have and why?

For me, I’d be happy with either one. But, seeing the Patriots win again would put a grin on my face knowing that Roger Goodell would have to hand the Lombardi Trophy to them. That’s a win for all of us.

Sports have sucked this winter for us. The Bears have missed the playoffs for the sixth season in a row. The Bulls have continued their irrelevance and now, are a laughingstock. And the Blackhawks? They’ve lost three games in a row in such shitty fashion, you would think the stench of the Bulls rubbed off on them. I know, maybe I am spoiled. But, we haven’t seen them in this kind of stretch in a long time. They still have the second-best record in the Western Conference.

But, that’s not why I called.

Since my desire to write about what’s going on with these teams isn’t anywhere to be seen, I decided to post a bit about my trip to San Antonio over the weekend. I was there seeing the Royal Rumble (yes, fake wrestling).

Wrestling storylines haven’t been all that exciting over the last few years for many reasons (enough with the three-hour shows). But, I had never been to a Royal Rumble before and was looking forward to this. Friday, I am exhausted from a delayed flight, so I just eat and go to my hotel for the night. Saturday, I go see the Alamo and Riverwalk. The Alamo was pretty cool to see inside and out. There were walls of timelines leading up to the war and the significance of that spot. It was nice to have a brain break for that one hour from something other than sports.

That night, I went to NXT and saw an amazing show with great entrances and matches. For some of you WRASSLIN’ fans on here, you already know how intriguing that portion of WWE is.

Sunday is indeed, the big day. All of the matches were great up until the Rumble. Some of the entrants into the big match were underwhelming and the crowd’s anger level reached Chucky-Status. That wasn’t fun at the time.

But overall, a great weekend. I met a lot of cool people from the city and fans from around the country. It’s always fun going to another city for a wrestling show to meet other fans and see familiar faces.

We now return you to your regularly-scheduled suckage of most of our sports’ teams.

Well, the Bulls were up 110-100 in those final three minutes. Then, the Hawks go on a 19-4 run. Seriously?

This is getting old, annoying and PATHETIC.

Gar Forman, John Paxson and Fred Hoiberg are all responsible. The Chicago Bulls have become one of the laughingstock of the NBA. A once proud franchise, they have been irrelevant for almost 20 years.

Enough is enough. And this is up to the fans that continue to help the Bulls sell out the United Center 41 times a year. They need to do what Bears fans did the last few games of the season: STOP GOING TO THE GAMES. Showing up just fuels their pockets with cash. Hit them where it hurts the most: the wallet.

The Bears have pissed me off so much with their insulting press conference on Wednesday, that I haven’t had much desire to write about it. Therefore, you guys give your thoughts on this. Oh, and George McCaskey still won’t fire the accountant, Ted Phillips after their worst season since the NFL went to a 16-game season in 1978.

Oh, Fox Sports. I fucking hate you all. I also hate NBC and Turner, but that’s already been discussed as well. I was going to write about this last week, but wanted to let it go. I want Dick Stockton to go away. I said many years ago that he was the original Kiss of Death to Chicago Sports. Kenny Albert gladly followed suit. Dick Stockton was the shithead I had to hear during every game of the Cubs’ 2007 and 2008 playoff runs. The results of all of those games? Losses. Hearing him made it even worse. Last week, I was shocked he was even calling the game. I expected the new Kiss of Death in Albert or even the amazing Thom Breneman (sarcasm).

But if the Bears were actually, I don’t know, a football team, maybe we would always have ones like Joe Buck or Kevin Burkhardt. I know, a lot of people hate Buck. But at least he isn’t Dick Stockton or Kenny Albert. Fuck those two.

Now, onto what I really wanted to talk about:

This week, I about had it. The Bears played even WORSE than they did last year. This was just fucking awful. Even Marc Trestman has had more wins than John Fox in the two years both have coached. What a shame.

The only good thing about this year was Jordan Howard. The Bears somehow, found someone that they could help build an offense around (need a quarterback too, obviously). He set the all-time rookie rushing record in franchise history. I know that doesn’t mean shit in the grand scheme of things, but it’s something that we could maybe look forward to next season. He is really good.

We will see what happens with Pace and Fox in the coming days. But, this whole thing just fucking smells. I know we said the same shit years ago with Angelo, Lovie, Emery and Trestman. But, damn. I don’t think shit is going to change unless the McCaskey’s sell this abysmal franchise. They need to sell it to someone who knows how to run a football team. What they are doing now isn’t working. I mean, Ted Phillips has been with the team for 30 fucking years and is a damn accountant. What he is doing as the president of a professional football team? Fuck this.

Since the McCaskey’s are never going to sell this team, no great general manager is just going to fall into their laps in anytime soon. This team is fucked for a very long time.
