Ladies and gentleman, it’s a first in tournament history. #1 Lauren Jiggetts tied with #4 Marissa Bailey 14-14. What’s this mean? Well, I will open up voting until 2:59 p.m. today on this thread. For those who didn’t vote over the weekend, the poll will open once again until the time given. THERE MUST BE A WINNER.
In the other game, it wasn’t a match for #3 Emily Florez as she ran #2 Jen Lada right out of this tournament by a final score of 18-10.
Who will Emily face in the Elite Eight? Decide for yourself. Voting ends at 2:59 p.m. today!
***UPDATE 5:03 P.M. – LAUREN JIGGETTS WINS 3-0 IN OVERTIME. THE FINAL SCORE IS 17-14. The Elite Eight games will begin Tuesday.***

No upsets here, folks. #1 Melody Mendez disposed of #4 Marion Brooks, 15-12.
In the other game, #2 Lyndsay Petruny edged out #3 Cheryl Burton by a final of 18-14.
In my opinion, this is the most intriguing game in the Elite Eight, so far. It will be #1 vs. #2 next week for a trip to the Final Four.
Pernell McPhee – Linebacker/Defensive End (Five years, $40 million)
Antrel Rolle – Safety (Three years, $11.25 million)
Eddie Royal – Wide receiver (Three years, financial terms unavailable)
It appears that the Bears are trying to win now. It will be difficult with Dickface still around. If they can limit his flaws (i.e. running the ball like they should), that gives them the best chance to win games. Pace said in the press conference on Wednesday that Cutler is their guy. Speculation was, the Bears tried to listen to offers, but no team was stupid enough to take the contract (two years, $36 million).
#2 Lyndsay Petruny (Chicago Bears Network) vs. #3 Cheryl Burton (ABC 7)

Well, what do you know? Another #1 seed in Cortney Hall was put away by Zoraida Sambolin and with ease. Zoraida wins by a final of 18-4 (ouch). Poor Cortney. Sunrise will need to head to the studios on the North Side to give her some some comfort.
In the other game, it was the complete opposite. #3 Megan Glaros survived #2 Sarah Jindra 15-14. After the game, Megan said she felt a huge lift off of her shoulder and is already preparing, for her next battle. She will face Zoraida for a trip to the Final Four next week.
***CORRECTION: THE FOUR CORTNEY RECEIVED WERE FROM TUESDAY ONLY. SHE RECEIVED SEVEN OTHER VOTES ON MONDAY THAT WERE MISSED. THE FINAL SCORE WAS 18-11. APOLOGIES.***
