Congratulations to Joe Maddon (NL Manager of the Year), Jake Arrieta (NL Cy Young) and Kris Bryant (NL Rookie of the Year).

I bet all would have preferred a Cubs World Series title, but the future is looking brighter for the Cubs.

So….was that really the same Mets team that just hammered the Cubs in the NLCS?

Congratulations to the Kansas City Royals, a team with no fear that refused to quit. I think they were highly motivated by what happened in Game 7 of the 2014 World Series….barring Mad Bum’s stellar performance, they would have won it all.

Perhaps the Cubs will be motivated by their 2015 experience and dig deeper in 2016 than they’ve done in a very long time.

We shall see. They could go all the way!

Very disappointing end to the 2015 season, for sure…but the Cubs certainly exceeded my expectations this year. The Mets starting pitching was lights out.

I do believe that the culture is changing, and the Cubs should contend again next year.

I’ll write more after the weekend….in the meantime, your thoughts welcomed.
