This past weekend, CS brought his kid along and we met up in LaSalle to watch Dreamwave Wrestling. It was a pretty damn good show. Three hours of fast paced, balls to the wall, wrestling. It’s definitely a different experience and the place was packed. Right after intermission, I went downstairs and met Scott Hall. Say hello to the bad guy.
Ladies and gentleman, we have our first upset. In the very first game, #1 went down to #4, as Brooke Weisbrod took out Lauren Petty by a final score of 18-13. In the second game, #2 Erin Kennedy disposed of #3 Michelle Relerford 17-14.
#2 Erin Kennedy will take on #4 Brooke Weisbrod in the Elite Eight.
Games resume Monday and Wednesday. See you then.
Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Bears have traded Brandon Marshall to the Jets. Thoughts? With me, it appears that just having him around is enough of a problem and that’s what it came down to. Talent wise, he’s pretty damn good. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good.
This trade frees up almost $4 million in cap space and saves the Bears another $7 million or so in bonuses.
Is Dickface next?

Alright, folks. After taking a year off, the tournament for the most beautiful woman in Chicago television is back. The selection committee has given me 16 babes and now, it’s up to all of you to decide who’s your favorite.
Starting tomorrow and Thursday, the first two games will be played. Then, they will pick back up on Monday. The Final Four will be in two weeks along with the championship game. Remember, you can only vote once, so make it a good one. Games will last about a day and a half before voting ends.
Women will be compiled into four regions: DVX, Sunrise Zone, CS and GARY.
And the prize you ask? Well, take a look for yourself.
Bulls lose to the Clippers 96-86.
Nikola Mirotic had 16 of the Bulls’ 17 points in the final quarter.
Bulls shoot 31% from the field (27-87); miss eight free throws
Kirk Hinrich (0-7)
PATHETIC
This isn’t how I wanted to spend my Tuesday night. It’s enough that I was watching the Blackhawks only to see Patrick Kane get hurt. It looks like a shoulder injury for him. Then, about an hour or two later, I find out that Derrick Rose is out for the season. Great.
A reader who goes by “Nikola Drops” chimed in with a comment in the previous post on here. He already predicted that I was going to write about how this is on ThomASS. While this injury isn’t on him, directly. However, I will say that could have been caused from his previous injuries. It all started with the ACL tear three years ago, in my opinion.
I hate making comparisons or analogies, but I will here. With Rose, first, it was the ACL. Then, it’s a meniscus tear. Then another one. I compare this to an old car. In college, I drove an ’83 Cavalier. The first problem was a coolant fan relay and that lead to my car overheating. About three weeks later, the car began shaking. I needed to replace the alternator. Later, the serpentine belt. You get the point. At the end, the transmission fucked up. I ended up junking it for $50.
Derrick Rose is my 1983 Chevy Cavalier.
