I’m glad this thing is over. When it was 20-3, I knew very well that the game wasn’t even close to being done. A few blinks and what do you know? The Bengals get within three. Fuck. I am going to be all over the place with this recap.

Make no mistake about it, the entire game shifted with that idiotic act by Robert Quinn. We’ll get back to this scam artist in a bit. The Bears escaped a disaster and they guarantee themselves at least a share of first place going into Week Three.

Offense: The first drive of the game, Dalton drove the Bears right down the field for a touchdown. That was great to see. A couple drives later, Dalton gets hurt on what appeared to be a non-contact injury. Insert Justin Fields. And then the offense became inconsistent. I don’t know how a defense can gift the team two turnovers (not counting the pick six) and only turn it into six points in the last quarter. This was fucking atrocious. Allen Robinson drops a sure touchdown that could have made it a three touchdown game. Fields throws an interception that made this game even closer than it should have been. That’s on Nagy for not calling a run to force the Bengals to either waste a timeout or run off 40 more seconds.

This offensive line fucking sucks. They are undisciplined. Too many penalties and they weren’t in rhythm. And thankfully, Fields did just enough to put this game away.

Defense: I already said the Bears could have easily controlled this game with no shot of the Bengals making a comeback. First, Robert Quinn had a late hit on Joe Burrow (on a 3rd and 19) that would have given the ball back. It was 7-0 and thankfully, it was only a field goal. That could have been the turning point to this whole thing. Then, after the defense did everything they can to put the game away in the fourth, they shit themselves in a matter of two minutes by letting the Bengals throw a bomb for a touchdown. 20-10. After that interception Fields, it was two straight plays for touchdowns. I’m shocked the Bengals weren’t throwing down the field the entire game because the Rams did it with ease. They play great for 95% of the game and the other 5%, complete shit. The drizzling shits. COVER. YOUR. RECEIVERS.

Special teams: Cairo Santos did his job with two field goals. The last one was the game-winner.

The Bears take on the Browns next week. I am going to need an oxygen tank.

I’ve barely paid attention to the depth chart. I guess that’s what happens when the season is going to be horseshit. No expectations in a positive manner are here. It’s all pessimism and rightfully so. This team sucks. And the worst part is that there is one extra game this season. Fuck Roger Goodell and the owners for letting that happen.

The Bald-Headed Dipshit doesn’t use football common sense by running the ball. What makes me or anyone else think that he will all-of-a-sudden, smarten up? The offensive line sucks. I am sure the defense will be the status-quo as well by giving up big plays right before halftime or at the end of the game that ends up being the difference.

First, sorry for this delay. I’ve been exhausted, busy and trying to fight off the shitty allergies that the humidity in Illinois has given me the last two weeks. I was paying half-attention to this game and nothing in it really mattered. So, I will just go with what I was hearing the idiot talking about earlier in the week during a press conference.

Matt Nagy (the idiot) was telling reporters something along the lines of how it takes “a few years” to get going. Huh? He basically told us that the system he has takes literally, years to master? Are you fucking kidding me?

This is the same guy who puts his entire team at a disadvantage every game of every year. This idiot makes Lovie Smith look like a genius.

“This offense, it takes a few years to get going. We saw that in Kansas City where it took a few years….After about three or four years, it started really picking up and going. I feel like we’re at that spot right now.”

Does anyone know of any other job where you told your boss something stupid like this and still could get away with it? If you told your boss that it “takes a few years for me to be good at my job” that it would work? Only the Chicago Bears, ladies and gentlemen.

I don’t want the Bears to lose. I want them to win every game and win the Super Bowl. But fuck, does it make it difficult to care with this guy coaching. For me, it’s either win the Super Bowl this year or get canned. Don’t just make the playoffs. Don’t just get to the Super Bowl. WIN THE SUPER BOWL OR YOU’RE GONE. That’s what George should tell him.

But instead, I am sure a contract extension is on the way for a lesser result.

What more do you need to know? This is what the defense will be come the regular season. Missed tackles, big plays, stupid penalties, fumbles, you name it. It happens every single year. Every. Single. Year.

I was zoning out after Mitch lead the Bills to touchdowns on the first three drives. He literally drove the Bills down without any issues. This is what the Bears will be.

In the first half, the Bears were in mid-season form. You saw penalties, fumbles, bad play-calls, false starts and the defense giving up big plays late right before halftime.

And can someone explain to me why Javon Wims is still on this team? This idiot should have been cut after that stupid penalty he took against the Saints in the regular season game last year. And what does he do against the same team in the playoffs? Exactly.

The Bears didn’t get a first down until there was under a minute to go in the first half. That sounds like very much like the Bears.

The second half happened and Justin Fields got into a groove. We can all remember the greatness of Caleb Hanie in the preseason. So, let’s not get too excited yet. These are the Bears we are talking about.

The defense locked it down in the second half as well by keeping the Dolphins scoreless.

Next week, Mitch Trubisky returns to Chicago with the Bills coming to town. Yay.

The first preseason game for the Bears is this Saturday against the Dolphins. For the last few weeks, training camp has been going on. And to be honest, I’ve been too busy to pay much attention to what’s going on.

But as we all know, it will be another shitty season of the team blowing games due to shitty play-calling, injuries, coaches lying about injuries and having those same coaches insulting our intelligence in press conferences with the decisions they make.

It doesn’t matter. These are not my opinions. These are facts. The Bears have been doing all of those things I mentioned above since my existence on this Earth. Nothing convinces me that it will magically change this year. It just isn’t happening.

What’s the point if the Bears have healthy running backs this year? The idiot head coach will just call pass plays anytime the situation calls for the ball to be ran. 3rd and inches? Bubble screen for a loss of two yards. Punt. Or worse, loss of the game.

I guess this is another reason for me not paying too much to what’s going on so far. When the games start, Matt Nagy will be just like every coach before him by telling the media “we had a good week of practice.” Good Lord.

If the players are smart, they rebel with the play-calling. If it’s 3rd and inches, instead of listening to Matt Nagy’s idiotic call to pass it, call an audible and do a quarterback sneak. Stack the line and get that yard. If he calls a bubble screen in another situation, audible for something else. That’s the only way I see anything positive happening.
