Chicago Cubs Photo Day

Special Thanks to our good friend and contributor Pie in the Sky for the stats:

Jeff Samardzija (10 starts): 0-4 with a 1.46 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Only two homers allowed. The Cubs have lost nine of his 10 games pitched. One of those includes a May 5 game where he gave up -0- ER in 9 innings.

You cannot make this shit up.

Chicago Cubs, 1908 World Series Champions.

106 years later, and they’re still chasing “the next championship”!

PATHETIC.

Three more years of this guy.

Just when most thought that the Blackhawks would roll through the Wild like they did last year, now, some may be worrying. I am not panicking yet concerned would be the right word. The wheels have come off in these last two games. The Blackhawks and Wild were scoreless going into the third period of Game Three, only to fall apart. Game Four arrives and they were completely outplayed from the start. The Wild score and the Blackhawks responded back two different times to tie it. Then, the Wild pull away right after.

The Blackhawks have been in this position two different times under Joel Quenneville and they came back to win the series both times. The first time coming in 2009 in the first round against the Flames. The Blackhawks won the first two, lost the next two on the road and then came back to win the last two. The second time was in 2010 in the Final against the Flyers. Won the first two home, lose the next two on the road and proceed to win the next two, ultimately leading to the Cup.

If any team can do it again, it’s the Blackhawks.

NFL Draft.

May 5, 2014

The Draft is upon us. This Thursday will be the beginning of a weekend of putting the final pieces together in what seems to be a very promising season for our boys at Halas Hall.

We’ve stressed here long enough on what the Bears need to do. We already know the offensive line is stacked with the draft picks from last year and the signing of Brian De La Puente from the Saints last month. He will be Roberto Garza’s backup just in case. This gives the team assurance that the line is ready to go again without having to spend any more draft picks.

So here are the Bears with seven picks to go. Do they trade down to get more or do they stay where they are at?

This won’t be about who you want them to take necessarily, but what positions? I’ve said for quite a while, that with seven picks, the first four should consist of (in order), a defensive tackle, cornerback, linebacker and running back. What positions should they take with the remaining three?

Discuss.

WRASSLIN’!

CS, Glenn Jacobs seems to be alright. I think he’s been in that position before. What happened last night at the pay-per-view last night reminded me when I was at Wrestlemania 22 when Edge speared Mick Foley with both going through the burning table. A “Match of The Year” candidate with The Shield vs. Evolution also took place. It was much better than when The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family match at Elimination Chamber in February.

EPIC Fail, or let’s just celebrate the last 11 years!

100 year celebration? What exactly is there to “celebrate?

The last Chicago Cubs World Series Championship was 106 years ago. Their last World Series apearance was 69 years ago.

How is it even possible for a MAJOR MARKET professional sports franchise to perform so miserably, for so long?

A few examples of  why the Chicago Cubs are PATHETIC:

  • The organization – the “powers that be” (including the bullshit “manager” who we can thank for bringing us all together) – stood by while  a fan (Bartman) was blamed for and subsequently took the fall for a total meltdown that cost the Cubs a pennant when they were actually in a position to win it all.
  • A never ending list of players who couldn’t make it happen when the big game was on the line.
  • Psychotic asshole players (Marmol, Bradley, who else?) who’ve choked over and over again, failing miserably when it mattered the most and disrupting team chemistry (bwahaha!) in the process
  • An even longer line of players who’ve under-achieved, failing miserably when it mattered the most.
  • An organization that has failed to respond appropriately and decisively, in a timely fashion…over and over again.

Lovable losers? You’re out of your fucking minds, there is nothing lovable about the Chicago Cubs.

The joke is on all long-suffering Cubs fans who’ve endured this endless stream of CRAP for so many years, as well as the tens of thousands (more?) fans who spent their entire lives cheering for an organization that should be recognized as the most PATHETIC ever.

The sheeple will continue to blindly support this shit-storm masquerading as a professional sports franchise, while the executives continue to cash in, drawing salaries that I’m sure most of us can only dream of….wink wink! I had high hopes for Tom Ricketts when he purchased the Cubs, but he strikes me as nothing more than just another wealthy, corporate FANBOY, in it for the $$$. I still believe Mark Cuban would have been a much better ownership option.

Lately I’ve been hearing that the New York Knicks are the worst franchise in professional sports….whoever agrees with that statement must not follow baseball, and clearly doesn’t know anything about the Chicago Cubs.

“100 year celebration”? I just threw up in my mouth.

Bulls-Ad

So can someone tell me how the Wizards had at least five offensive rebounds in the last two minutes of this game? How about morons like Jimmy Butler and Mr. Defensive Player of the year missing point-blank layups? Oh, what’s that? They’re tired? What you mean, they’re tired? Don’t they ever get a break?

I didn’t think so.

The countdown to the firing of Tom Thibodeau begins. Please God, let it be soon. Like this week.

The demise of ThomASS as head coach of the Chicago Bulls is upon us.

April 28, 2014
If the dictionary had pictures, this is what would be under stupidity.

If the dictionary had pictures, this is what would be beside the word “stupidity”.

Well, it’s just as I expected. Before the playoffs even started, I said the Bulls would have dead legs, mainly Jimmy Butler and it is showing. The Wizards have ran circles around the Bulls this entire series. Any logical fan knew this was going to happen. Sunday, on broadcast television, the entire country was able to see this team. Adam Silver did his best to try to help the Bulls win by suspending Nene for a game (I agreed with the ejection but not the suspension). In the end though, the Bulls beat themselves. All series long, Nene and Marcin Gortat have made Joakim Noah their bitch. Defensive player of the year, my ass. In addition, a shitload of turnovers and missed free throws contributed to their first two losses. Sunday, it was a bunch of turnovers that lead to points.

“I tell you what. This Bulls team has so much heart. You can’t deny how hard they play for their head coach and these fans.” That’s what a lot of people have said. You know what team also has a lot of heart and passion? The Sacramento Kings. If only heart and passion (or fire and passion) could win you championships, the Bulls would win every year!

As much as I want to blame the players for turning the ball over a hundred times in this game, Tom Thibodeau will get the bulk of it. Fuck him for ruining Derrick Rose and the rest of this team. He’s careless and cares more about winning a battle than winning a war. I was right all along and all I want is to shove it in the face of the morons who have disagreed with me over the years. Everything I said during the season and before the playoffs started have come to fruition.

As far as someone who posted on this site recently asking me who else is out there for a head coach? Here’s three coaches for you that are a million times better than the dip shit the Bulls have now and this goes in order of who I would want.

1. John Lithgow (George Karl)

2. Jeff Van Gundy

3. Jerry Sloan

So, of course, the Bulls COULD come back and win this series. And then what? Lose in the second round? How about make it to the Eastern Conference Finals, win the first game and then promptly, lose the next four? It’s time for The Three Stooges of Bulls management in Jerry Reinsdorf, Gar Forman and John Paxson to show us they give a fuck and tell ThomASS to take a hike after this season. Let him go to New York so he can run those players into the ground. I am sick of this shit.

Come on Bulls. Come back and win this series not just for the fans, but for your awesome head coach. The one that you love all so much and want to play for. Morons.

For you idiot basketball fans out there who thought I was stupid for wanting this guy fired all of these years, what do you all have to say now? That’s right. Nothing.

I have something to say you guys, however.

Kiss my ass.
