Thanks a lot, Comcast!

March 4, 2014

Let me say this, Comcast fucking sucks a horse’s ass! For the last two weeks, it has canceled recordings of some of my shows even minutes after I schedule them. I call these morons up and they tell me “we sent signals to your box and everything is normal”. Last night, I get home and try to watch Raw to get more pictures and, you guessed it, it was canceled. Bastards. Then, they wonder why so many people are just getting rid of cable all together along with their shitty prices. Anyway, I’ll get some pictures uploaded here very soon.

It was a great night. The only thing that stopped it from being perfect was the shithead security guard sitting near us. He constantly pushed us and said sit down even when everyone around us was up cheering. Then, we all chant “slut” at Stephanie McMahon and this wannabe cop says “watch your mouths”. We tried explaining that was what everyone called her in the early 2000’s as part of the storyline. Turd.

Monday Night Raw tonight at the Allstate Arena (Updated)

I will be in the first row of the TV side on the far right. And yes, the signs have returned.

It’s clobberin’ time.

Finally, the Metrodome is no more.

Metrodome-explosion

It was a piece of shit stadium for a piece of shit football team with piece of shit fans. And some people may not agree with this: I don’t root for the Packers but I respect the hell out of them. The Minnesota Vikings are different. By far, the worst fan base in football and that includes fans of the Raiders. I don’t know who’s happier, Mac or myself, but him and I are excited that this dump is finally gone.

New feature here at Fire Tom Thibodeau.

February 14, 2014

In order to continue my well-argued points that Tom Thibodeau is a PATHETIC excuse for a basketball coach, I have decided to add a new but unoriginal idea to this place. If you look on the side of the homepage, you will see a “How many minutes did Jimmy Butler play last game?” tab. Feel free to click on that to see how ThomASS is running one of his players into the ground. I know this is ahead of time, but let’s just wish Jimmy Butler the best in his recovery with his inevitable injury.

Spring Training games begin in less than two weeks!!!!! (baaaaaaaahhh)

Inside the box score (cue Yeti and his minions):

Well, first off, the Bulls had a 25-point lead against the almighty Atlanta Hawks only to see it get down to six in the fourth quarter. Keep in mind, the Bulls had a similar lead on Sunday against the Super Lakers with the same results. The Bulls love blowing those big leads like hookers blowing returning customers. BUT IT’S THE NBA! Hey, the NBA has ties with hookers so I guess it’s fitting.

Moving on.

Alright, let’s check out a stat or two, shall we? Taj Gibson played 46 minutes. Joakim Noah played logged 41. Meanwhile, Erik Murphy played zero seconds, Tony Snell played a grand total of 13 minutes and Nazr Mohammed hardly played at all. By the way, 6/13 on free throws. Just wait until they play an actual decent team and not the Lakers or Hawks.

I tell you what guys. Tom Thibodeou is an elite coach. I tell you, he’s really elite when it comes to injuring his own players and not giving a shit about them not making free throws.  No doubt about it. He will not change. He will continue to do the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. Can someone please page Albert? It’s been a while since he’s made an appearance on my poopy website.

Give this guy an extension now. Not later today. Not tomorrow. NOW!!!

Sting, Punk, Network and state of WWE.

February 11, 2014

It’s quite surprising that I have not written anything WRASSLIN’-related in almost a year. The thing is, when the state of wrestling is this bad, it’s difficult to have the motivation to write about it. With Wrestlemania coming up, there are a few things to talk about. Some of the stuff is exciting and some, not so exciting.

TNA in Dekalb

February 10, 2014

Frank The Clown approves.

TNA decided to come to Dekalb this past Saturday night and I will say, it’s much different than WWE in many ways. TNA tends to interact with fans more by giving away backstage passes and the experience is much less grueling than WWE. The show lasted just over two hours (half the time of WWE) and prices, obviously, are much cheaper.

The thing is, the product of TNA is still, horrible. While the wrestling is pretty decent, the acting in promos and backstage events are terrible. Sometimes, wrestlers can’t be taught how to act. It’s something that happens naturally.

In Dekalb, about 500 fans showed up in a place where the capacity is around 6,000. That is bad. TNA draws well overseas but when it comes to the United States, they can’t sell out a 2,500 seat arena. The closest it ever reached were the events in Hoffman Estates in 2008 and last year, in which, I attended both times. The Sears Centre might seat around 6,000 fans as well and both times, the crowd was about half full. Wrestling events always draw well in the Chicagoland area. If this was, say, Iowa, TNA gets 100 fans maximum for this past Saturday’s event.

With all of the budget cuts going on, TNA has shown everyone that they are struggling. They put nearly their entire budget into guys like Angle, Nash, Hogan, Bischoff and Sting over the last four years. You figured, Bischoff may help a little bit but when he came in, he was merely a shell of himself. He had a great run in the mid-90’s with WCW and that was his peak as far as being a promoter. Dixie Carter still rolled the dice and paid for it heavily.

TNA in Dekalb and everywhere else is a loss for them. It’s costing them more money to travel and pay wrestlers because they aren’t drawing enough fans to turn a profit. Merchandise sales help any company but with all of the traveling, TNA still has to pay the place they are holding their event in and giving a share of their sales to them. I saw some good matches on Saturday with Samoa Joe against Magnus and the Wolves against the Bromans (yes, TNA is that bad to have a tag team called that).

The only thing keeping TNA alive right now are their TV deals in the United States and Europe. If those deals aren’t around, TNA isn’t worth the change in my pocket. Some people might have thought five or six years ago, that TNA might have a chance to compete. All of these years later, it’s much worse than it was back then. Wrestlers like A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe have been the only bright spots all of these years and even now, Styles may not be back.

Stick a fork in TNA.
