There are many issues concerning certain storylines and mismanagement of certain talents. The ways to fix pro wrestling in my opinion will be divided in two portions: What needs to be fixed in TNA and what needs to be fixed in WWE.

On to TNA:

Developing a character: This part is something that is very important when a wrestler is coming up through the system whether being in a minor league territory or in the big company starting out. Jim Ross has went on record many times throughout the years saying the best way to get noticed in the ring is to be yourself. When I attended TNA Bound For Glory in 2008 in Hoffman Estates, I heard Randy Savage’s music and as soon as a I heard the crowd cheering, I said to my friend sitting next to me:

“Holy crap, is that…Wait. That guy is black.” Instead of Randy Savage, it’s a turd name Jay Lethal. What the fuck.  He talks just like him. He wears the same ring attire as him. And he has a beard like him. If wrestlers just be themselves whether that’s being a douche, I can at least respect that as a fan.

Abyss: OK. I am not doubting this guy’s ability to be a monster. However getting back to the character part, this guy should not be dressing up and acting like Mick Foley when he played Mankind back during the late 90’s. This is one of TNA’s problems. They need stop trying to recycle certain wrestling characters. I think if Abyss just takes the damn mask off and just goes out there to wrestle, he will have a fan in me and many others.

The senior citizens on the roster: This issue is TNA’s biggest. This is why the ratings have been shitty. This is why the most loyal of fans are already pulling the plug on TNA. Nobody wants to see a 60 year old Ric Flair take his shirt off and want to fight. Nobody wants to see Kevin Nash and Scott Hall walking around with their stupid shit every Monday night like it’s 1995. The last time I saw the Nasty Boys wrestle were in the mid-90’s. They should have stayed there. Instead, Hulk Hogan brought them in to limp around the ring for a few months before mercifully getting released last month.

Speaking of Hulk Hogan, I am sick and tired of seeing him trying to make a comeback. Hulk Hogan was probably one of my favorite wrestlers growing up but now, I have lost almost all respect for the guy. He is ruining TNA. Instead of the young guys getting their call-up, we have to deal with morons like the Nasty Boys, Nash, Hall and Flair take away their chance. Enough already.

If those bastards want to be there to help out younger guys by managing them or just training with them, so be it. But please. I do not want to see any of them in any more matches.

Blood: Blood isn’t cool. It never really was. I didn’t realize how stupid busting someone up was until a few years ago. Everytime I turn on TNA, I see Ric Flair bleeding a lot from the head. It’s awful. Nobody wants to see this shit especially when it happens to the looney tune known as Ric Flair. It’s not believable. It’s disgusting and people tune out because of that.

A.J. Styles: This guy is one hell of an athlete. He is a TNA original and he’s a great wrestler with a lot of years left in him. But I wish TNA would just let this guy go back to being the phenomenal one. Get him away from Ric Flair. Because really. It’s hurting his credibility. I don’t mind him as a bad guy but they need to get Flair away from him.

Hire a financial adviser for young wrestlers: I am sure Dixie Carter can find a way to get a couple of these people to work for their company. The reason I put this in here is because when I see idiots like Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan still trying to wrestle, I read more into why and I find out it’s because these idiots didn’t know how to manage their money when they were younger. Flair was married three or four times and now, he is still giving plenty of his cash to his ex-wives. Hogan was only married once but once he got divorced, it cost him quite a bit.

It’s simple: TNA can hire a couple financial advisers to help wrestlers set up a retirement fund early. This also leads to them getting insurance (Wrestlers make six figures on average each year; they can afford it) and if they get married, make sure they get a prenuptial agreement. Wrestlers should keep in mind that they never know when their wife may go psycho, divorce them and take half or even all their money along with their kids. We as fans would figure that some of these young guys realize that if they don’t think about their future, that they could end up like Ric Flair. Not pretty.

Last but not least…

Hire Jim Ross: If WWE is stupid enough to let this guy go, it will be TNA’s gain. J.R. doesn’t have that many years left him to call wrestling, but I am sure TNA wouldn’t mind him in there. He is one of the best announcers in the last 20 years. He makes some crappy matches somewhat pretty good by the way he calls it. I like Mike Tenay as an announcer, but Ross is as good as it gets.

1. The Chicago Blackhawks open up the playoffs Friday night against the Nashville Predators. This series could be tough for the Blackhawks. The Predators have played well since the Blackhawks last saw them in December. As most of us hockey fans on this site have said many times: The Blackhawks will go as far as Antti Niemi will take them.

2. The Chicago Bulls open up their playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. I hate the Cavs and I hate LeBron. Always have. Always will. I honestly think he will never win a title due to him basically being a punk. All the “experts” said that LeBron would carry the Cavs to the NBA finals last year. We all know how that turned out. Would I sound nuts if I said the Bulls would shock the NBA world and win this series in six?

The Cubs are under new ownership, but after the first four games it seems like more of the same. Hendry didn’t do a fucking thing during the off-season other than clean up the mess that he created the year before. Lou has already used his famous “Whatta ya want me to do” phrase a couple of times. Rothschild has the bullpen in a complete meltdown. Theriot is no leadoff man, or shortstop either. I could go on and on…..Year One is gonna be a very bad year. Ricketts decided to trust the usual suspects that got the Cubs into this shit to pull themselves out. It’s not going to happen.

Ricketts top priority for 2010 is to make the sheeple more comfortable. The product on the field will be left on the backburner for a few more years. Ricketts really has no choice. He has to wait until all of Hendrys no-trade contracts run out before he can work on improving the roster. How in the fuck Hendry keeps his job is beyond me.

It’s quite simple to say:  Antti Niemi in net = A chance for the Chicago Blackhawks to get a victory. With Cristobal Huet in net, the chances for a defeat are very high.

Since the beginning of last year, I have said that Cristobal Huet sucks ass. There were numerous people who have tried to argue with me that he is a good goalie. Some of the people who argued this with me I respect as fans. Others I think are fucking morons who have nothing else better to do than criticize every single thing I say. I basically throw out a decent argument and they shoot it down because they think they are “experts”. Well those experts can suck my left nut.

I will remember that no matter what occurs in the playoffs, I know the Blackhawks will have a better chance to succeed with Antti Niemi in net than Cristobal Huet.

Before I get to my list, I wanted to have a say on the career of the one and only Shawn Michaels. On Monday night when he announced he was retiring from wrestling, I about cracked a tear as well as millions of fans probably did too. If anybody were to make an argument on who is the greatest wrestler of all time, Shawn Michaels is at least in the top five. His speech was about as genuine as you could ask for. He admitted that he made a lot of dumb decisions in his life. His career was suppose to be over in 1998 after his back injury. In 2002, he made his comeback and gave it eight more years. As far as someone who would use steroids, Micahels has looked like he did it the right way. His body did not change over the years and there were no major “freak injuries”. He was one of the few guys left that could actually wrestle. He was damn good at it and for that, I am going to miss him.

Continuing with my list from a couple weeks ago are the other three most underrated wrestlers since the Attitude Era.

1. Christian

The self-proclaimed “Captain Charisma” has been wasted by WWF/WWE management for the better part of a decade. When Christian went to TNA a few years back, he won the championship and was a top star. He came back to WWE last year and won the ECW title which meant absolutely nothing. He basically has been thrown around without getting the big break. When he first started, he was a tag team champion with Edge. They won numerous titles together. They both had some hilarious segments in their “Five seconds of flash photography”. I believe he also won the Intercontinental and European titles about nine years ago.  It is such a shame how this guy in his mid-30’s now only has a few years left in him and still has not won the WWE/World title.
2. Kane

Kane made his debut in 1997 as the Undertaker’s half brother. He played the perfect bad guy. His entrance in person is loud but also pretty bad ass. He has won numerous tag team titles and even the Intercontinental title. One match that I loved was the Inferno match he had with the Undertaker. The ring was surrounded by fire and was a unique thing to see. In 2002, he lost the mask and became a more “evil” character so to speak. After that, in a storyline mode he would poor gasoline on people and try to set them on fire. If there is one thing I wish management would have done with him in his prime, it would be to make him champion. They did it in 1998 at the King of The Ring against Stone Cold, but he lost it the next night. Now, he is basically just a guy in the locker room who helps out the other young stars out. It pisses me off that in a couple years, he will be done wrestling and will have just a one day championship run to show for it.

3.  Matt Hardy

In his mid-30’s, he is still giving it a go. In the locker room according to many reports through time, he was never a guy to bitch about things. He comes to work, he does his job and doesn’t say a word about it. If I were him, I would have been bitching up a storm many years ago. He has been underused in so many occasions. Once again, a multiple time tag team champion. He was also the European, Hardcore and United States champion. Since the ECW title doesn’t count as a major title in my opinion, he is another wrestler that deserved to win the big one. He has been bullshitted on so many occasions. One particular one was in 2005 when his real life girlfriend of six years Lita cheated on him and ultimately led to his release due to differences with management and Edge off the camera. Now, he is basically doing the same thing Kane is. He is just another one of the guys now and is not in contention of a World Title. Instead, WWE decides to give retards like Sheamus and Drew McIntyre titles in such short time. What a shame.

Get use to it. This is how it’s going to be. Joel Quennville once again took his stupid pills and put in Cristobal Huet. I don’t know why. Antti Niemi records two shutouts in one week then sits for this game. A game in which if the Blackhawks could have won would have put at least an extra point in the standings away from Phoenix and put more pressure on San Jose. Instead, Cristobal Huet decided to start my Thursday night piss fest along with the Bulls losing by nearly 30 points shortly after.

Good friend of the site MadCityMac had his take in an earlier post:

“I didn’t see the game, and it doesn’t sound like it was completely his fault, but it sounds like Cristobal Huet completely shit the bed for the Hawks last night. Gives up a goal 32 seconds into the game? WTF!!??!! Can’t they trade him for a used puck bag?”

A used puck bag is asking for too much Mike. This pile of shit gave up seven goals last night. SEVEN. I don’t care if it wasn’t completely his fault. That is an awful performance. If he is the starting goalie in the playoffs, then the picture above is what it is going to look like in mid-April.
