Chicago Bears: 2020 Draft (Also, Matt Nagy is still an idiot)

April 24, 2020 by

Okay, folks. The Bears have two picks tonight. Will Ryan Pace trade both of them to move up one spot and get that punter everyone is raving about? Or will he just give them to another team because he’s in the giving mood? Tune in tonight!

I will once again reiterate my stance on Trubisky. We will never find out if he is any good or not because of the village idiot, Matt Nagy. When you are put in a position to fail, its impossible to overcome. I would think football is no different. I will never trust a coach that blows a lead of 23-3 or whatever it was when he was the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs the year before he came to the Bears. That was the playoff game against the Titans. What’s even more PATHETIC is that the very next game he coached, he promptly lead the Bears to blowing a 20-0 lead against the Packers. If that wasn’t enough to to prove that this idiot is exactly that, then I don’t know what else will convince you.

I’m not saying Mitch is going to be the greatest quarterback ever. All I’m saying is that without an actual head coach, we aren’t going to find out. If he goes elsewhere, it may be too late as other teams may think he’s damaged goods. His mind could be fried now or by the time his contract is up with the Bears. They have until May 5th or so to give him that extra year on his deal.

The Bears have seven picks tonight. Here’s what I feel they need: Running back, wide receiver, offensive lineman (maybe two of these), defensive tackle and cornerback and a safety. Yeah, that’s how bad this team is. They need help all over the place, but I’ll say they definitely need help on the offensive line. But I’m sure Ryan Pace really feels strongly about that one punter from a junior college in South Dakota. He may just have to trade all seven spots just to move up an extra few to get him.

Oh, fuck all of this!

Long overdue: The Bulls made changes!

April 24, 2020 by

Well, it only took 17 years (or 22), but the Bulls seem to have finally brought in someone who knows what they are doing. Arturas Karnisovas comes from Denver and is now the president of basketball operations. A general manager is yet to be decided as of this writing.

Regardless, it’s good riddance to Gar Forman. It’s too bad Paxson is somehow, still around the team. I don’t even want Paxson working the concession stands for the Bulls. He should have been long gone a long time ago. Get him as far away from the team as possible.

I have to look at the bright side of things. There is no other choice now. This is the guy that robbed the Bulls many years ago and ended up with Nikola Jokic, who’s become one of the top big men in the game. The Nuggets are near the top of the standings.

Whether or not he can do the same with the Bulls by making them relevant for the first time in 22 years is yet to be decided.

We have no idea when we will see basketball again. But whenever it does, the Bulls will be under new management. I’m praying this works.

Missed me?

March 17, 2020 by

Hey everyone. I know it’s become routine for me to apologize for not being here much. But I just don’t know what else to say. My job has been stressing me out. I’m doing a bunch of shit around my house. And quite frankly, our teams just fucking suck.

Oh, and this bullshit that has taken on our society in the last several months has affected all of us. I know it’s bigger than sports, but damn.

Here are my takes on the teams:

Illinois Fighting Illini: Here I was all season being excited for this team. For the first time in seven years, I was ready to see the Illini in the NCAA Tournament. And some of the “experts” were saying that the Illini had a legitimate chance to WIN the National Championship. 15 years after my heart was broken in the National Championship, some thought they had a chance this year. Now, some players may go to the NBA and they have to start over again. Fuck.

Chicago Bulls: I’m tired of it. I’m tired of Mr. Clean acting like he’s a basketball coach. I’m tired of Jerry Reinsdork keeping all of his favorite people employed for the last two decades (or more). Just like the Blackhawks (see below), I am probably happy that this season is cut short to put us out of our fucking misery.

Chicago Bears: Fuck Ryan Pace. This offseason has been embarrassing (no pun intended). Jimmy Graham? What’s with Chicago teams signing players past their prime? Ryan Pace also released Leonard Floyd. This is Ryan Pace showing everyone what a failure he is. PATHETIC. This Draft is just going to expose him some more. If there is an NFL season this year, it’s going to be a disaster again for our Bears. Hey, speaking of an NFL season…

NFL Players’ Union: Fuck these stupid, uneducated fuckwads. Voting for a 17-game season? So much for wanting to be protected. All this time, players wanted to be safer. Yes, I agree about the owners being scumbags. Fuck those guys. There is another league now, albeit not as popular. But if those players decide to go to the XFL, the owners would be put into a corner on negotiations at some point. Now, we’re dealt with watching the Bears in another meaningless regular season game for years to come.

Chicago Blackhawks: Fuck. Just, fuck. Get within a few points of a playoff spot and what happens? Two or three really shitty losses in a row. At least that season is probably over. More rest equals more of a chance to be fresh and ready to go come this Fall. I don’t know if this is the closing of that proverbial “championship window,” but it’s been great. I got to see them win three Stanley Cups in the previous decade and that was three more than I thought I would get about 13 years ago at this time. So, I’ll take it. But damn, this current team has been frustrating to watch.

I welcome all thoughts about this and anything else you feel is on your mind. It’s open season.

FIRE (AND PASSION) AWAY!

Marc Trestman and Matt Nagy are from the same tree of “stupid.”

February 13, 2020 by

After seeing Marc Trestman mercifully coach another another team, I started thinking about all the dumb shit he said to the media while we was in Chicago. I have realized that there is indeed, something in the water. Many of these coaches over the years have said similar crap. Matt Nagy and Marc Trestman are prime examples.

Marc Trestman: “Grow the man.”

Matt Nagy: “I’ll/We’ll grow from this.”

Marc Trestman: “We’ll have to look at the tape.”

Matt Nagy: “But when you go through the tape…”

Let’s throw a Lovie Smith comparison as well.

Lovie Smith: “We get off the bus running.”

Matt Nagy: “I know we need to run the ball more. I’M NOT AN IDIOT.”

Um, yes you are.

You see a pattern here, folks? It must be something in the water. There is no other theory. I’m fucking sick of it. George McCaskey and the family of misfits need to grow a pair of nuts and do something about this. Eventually, there are going to be many more empty seats at Soldier Field. The Bears can continue to raise ticket prices all they want (like they are again) and it’s just going to drive the fans away some more. If these fuckers are going to raise prices, they better start winning Super Bowls. The price doesn’t fit the quality of the product.

Discuss.

The Matt Nagy Factor: Your team wins a Super Bowl after letting him go elsewhere.

February 3, 2020 by

Anybody else surprised? And hey, if it’s not for Superman (Tom Brady) doing his thing last year, the Chiefs probably win the Super Bowl last year as well.

This is frustrating as a fan of the Bears. The Chiefs knew this guy was a fraud and Ryan Pace was dumb enough to hire him. I didn’t care who won the Super Bowl. But to see the Chiefs get very close last year and win it this year after getting rid of the fraud known as Matt Nagy is probably pissing many others off.

I will also say that something similar would have been written here had the 49ers pulled it out. Why? Because their general manager, John Lynch, depantsed Ryan Pace by trading one pick for multiple picks. There they were with a chance to win it. Pace and Nagy both looked very foolish before this game even started.

I’m just a fan with some shitty website. But fuck, what will it take for the Bears to see this shit? What will it fucking take? I am not upset the Bears didn’t take Patrick Mahomes. I wanted DeShaun Watson (as it’s been said countless times in the last three years). But why in the world would the Bears hire a guy who was known for blowing big leads as a coordinator with another team? It doesn’t make any sense at all.

The Bears are stuck with a general manager who doesn’t know what he’s doing and a fraud of a head coach who puts the team in a position to fail. We’re never going to find out if Trubisky is decent because of his shitty head coach. We’re just never going to know. That should piss all of us off.

Respect.

February 3, 2020 by

Hated the Lakers throughout my life. But the respect factor grew for #8 and #24 at the end of his career. I don’t have many other words.

The Bears have made me more fatigue than I was before the season started.

January 13, 2020 by

Okay, I’ve been meaning to write this for a couple weeks. I’ve just had so little motivation. It’s time to get some of that back.

After that PATHETIC excuse of a press conference on the morning of New Year’s Eve, the Bears (after basically saying no changes were being made) announced that they relieved four assistants of their duties (offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich, offensive line coach Harry Hiestand (by cracky), tight ends coach Kevin Gilbride and assistant special teams coach Brock Olivo).

Since the Bears enjoy keeping the assistants that in witness protection programs all season, I am already going to assume (and with good reason) that these assistants had absolutely no bearing on whether the team won or lost games this past season.

This is classic Chicago Bears. It’s upper management lying to us. It’s the owner literally saying after the press conference that he has 100% confidence in Pace and Nagy. It’s Pace and Nagy saying that they will get shit corrected. WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT MEANS.

We heard it with Lovie Smith. We heard it with Marc Trestman. “We have to look at the tape and grow from our mistakes.” FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

When is there going to be accountability? When are the inmates going to stop running the asylum? When is the owner of a professional football team going to say that this shit won’t be tolerated? George McCaskey seriously has no clue what he’s doing. Trust me, this is not me saying he isn’t trying to win. I am sure he wants his team to win. But he doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing. He’s being scammed by two masterminds in Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. This guy is blind as a bat.

If George had some kind of fucking knowledge, he either wouldn’t have hired Pace in the first place or would have fired him the second he hired Nagy. I SAW THIS COMING A MILE AWAY. Just look at Matt Nagy’s last game as offensive coordinator right before Pace hired him. A 21-3 lead at halftime and it’s blown because he didn’t run the ball. The Chiefs lost that game due to Matt Nagy’s ineptitude. And now, look at the Chiefs for the second year in a row being one win away from getting to the Super Bowl. Whether they win or lose on Sunday doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that they are that close for the second year in a row after getting rid of that fraud, Nagy. It’s not a coincidence. And don’t get me started on last season’s season opener where they blow a 20-0 lead against the Packers and blow a two-touchdown lead weeks later against the Dolphins.

So, here we go again. Another year of this bullshit. Ryan Pace is going on his sixth season as the general manager and nothing to show for it. I was saying from the start that they should draft DeShaun Watson. What does he do? He trades away two or three picks just to move up one spot to get someone no one else was certain of. Mitchell Trubisky is getting his criticism and maybe deservedly so. But let’s not forget this very important fact: He has been put into a position to fail and fail miserably by his head coach. We will never find out what he can do with an actual head coach. Maybe if he goes to another team with an actual head coach, then we could find out. But until then, this is what we are dealing with as fans. Ryan Pace trades those picks to get him and he’s stuck with it.

By the way, the team that ripped him off that year in that deal? The 49ers with first-time general manager John Lynch. How are they doing? Oh, they are only one win away from the Super Bowl.

Fuck. This. Team.

Ryan Pace: The Cowardly Lion

January 2, 2020 by

Ryan Pace continues to insult our intelligence. That press conference him and Nagy had were awful.

I am tired of this shit. It’s the same shit every time. “We’ll learn from our mistakes.” “We’ll grow from this.”

It’s the same as when Lovie and Angelo were running the place. Likewise for Emery and Trestman.

When will this shit change? When are we finally going to have a general manager and head coach that don’t insult our intelligence?

They seem to not admit that they’ve fucked this franchise even more than it was before they arrived in town. They refuse to admit that they’re idiots.

Fuck George McCaskey. Fuck Ted Phillips. Fuck Ryan Pace. Fuck Matt Nagy. Fuck them all. They all are responsible for putting this team in the position they are currently in.

No recaps for the last two games

December 22, 2019 by

Sorry, folks. Not that it would mean much anyway. If any of you have thoughts during these last two games the Bears will play, go ahead and put them in the comments. Or just any other thoughts are fine too.

As it goes every Holiday season, I want to thank all of you readers for putting up with my antics. I wish you all the best with your families. I know my heart wasn’t really into these recaps and for good reason. The Bears have pissed on yet, another season. I am certain I will chime after next week with whatever bullshit press conference George McCaskey will have. Let’s pray this franchise pulls it’s head out of it’s ass and makes us believers. I doubt it, though.

Take care, everyone.
