I always said I would believe it when I see it. And it has happened. Ted Phillips is gone.
Now, we are stuck with Kevin Warren. The former Big Ten Commissioner. And the pessimism will continue. Why?
First, this idiot is responsible for the Big Ten to have 16 teams total by next year. Don’t call a conference “Big Ten” when it has more than ten teams. It’s stupid. Pedophile State joined the conference in 1990 to make it 11. Fine. But the fact that Nebraska, Maryland and Rutgers joined is absurd and with USC and UCLA set to join, it’s become overkill.
This guy has proven to be all about making money and not making the product better. The quality is diminishing at a fast pace. He’s all about money and building stadiums. Nothing else.
And here is Kevin Warren to help the Bears build a new stadium. To make matters worst, the stadium will be put it in a place where traffic on a random Tuesday afternoon is absolute garbage. The Arlington Heights’ area sucks and getting there is even worse. There is no easy way to get there nor get out. Imagine when 90,000 people in cars flock on a very short expressway for a game.
Just over 20 years ago, the Bears remodeled Soldier Field. They couldn’t have simply put a dome on it back then? I swear, this franchise believes they can truly save time by wiping their asses before they take a shit. And here’s a shocker. The Bears are still on the hook for around $640 million for the renovations. Over 20 years later and they still owe that much? Of course, I’m sure taxpayers are responsible for paying that back. A new stadium will cost at a minimum, double that. And guess who will be paying for that?
Yep. Residents like some of us here in Illinois.
