Ryan Pace: The Cowardly Lion

January 2, 2020 by

Ryan Pace continues to insult our intelligence. That press conference him and Nagy had were awful.

I am tired of this shit. It’s the same shit every time. “We’ll learn from our mistakes.” “We’ll grow from this.”

It’s the same as when Lovie and Angelo were running the place. Likewise for Emery and Trestman.

When will this shit change? When are we finally going to have a general manager and head coach that don’t insult our intelligence?

They seem to not admit that they’ve fucked this franchise even more than it was before they arrived in town. They refuse to admit that they’re idiots.

Fuck George McCaskey. Fuck Ted Phillips. Fuck Ryan Pace. Fuck Matt Nagy. Fuck them all. They all are responsible for putting this team in the position they are currently in.

No recaps for the last two games

December 22, 2019 by

Sorry, folks. Not that it would mean much anyway. If any of you have thoughts during these last two games the Bears will play, go ahead and put them in the comments. Or just any other thoughts are fine too.

As it goes every Holiday season, I want to thank all of you readers for putting up with my antics. I wish you all the best with your families. I know my heart wasn’t really into these recaps and for good reason. The Bears have pissed on yet, another season. I am certain I will chime after next week with whatever bullshit press conference George McCaskey will have. Let’s pray this franchise pulls it’s head out of it’s ass and makes us believers. I doubt it, though.

Take care, everyone.

What can/should the Bears do now that they’re mathematically eliminated?

December 18, 2019 by

This was a very underwhelming season (as the others have been as well). For us regulars here at this site, we all saw it coming. For some stupid reason, many on the outside didn’t. And what exactly did they see that we didn’t?

I just feel like I write the same shit all the time. Every year. It’s the defense not being able to cover receivers and stop teams in the most crucial of times. It’s the inept offense that’s consistently inconsistent. It’s a head coach who doesn’t understand that running the ball on second and inches is much smarter than goofy ass end-arounds and bubble screens that go for negative three yards. It’s kickers not being able to make field goals when they matter the most. There are many more scenarios, but those are just a few. There isn’t a reason to blame the refs despite their ineptitude. Calls go both ways in a season. The Bears have had plenty of chances to win games after shitty calls.

I can’t stand that this team is basically eliminated by Halloween every year. There is no difference between this team and say, the Bengals. There really isn’t. Both teams suck and will be ending their seasons on the same day. It’s win the Super Bowl or bust. That’s how it should be every year. But the fact that this team can’t even be a consistent contender is inexcusable. It’s not a money issue. It’s already shown that the McCaskeys (despite their lack of football knowledge), spend money. It’s just a lot of that money is spent in the wrong places.

Blame Trubisky. Blame Pineiro. Blame the shitty defense. Blame the shitty offense. But the two who are to blame the most are at the top with Pace and Nagy. Pace is the catalyst for this disaster. He’s the one who hired a fraud in Nagy. Trubisky has sucked. No doubt about it. However, I also believe he was put in a position to fail and fail miserably. I’m not going to sit here and say he should be given an extension. But the fact that he has yet to have a real head coach at this level isn’t very good. Confidence can get shot and he may never recover.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that as a fan of this team, I have yet to see an actual head coach. How fucking difficult is it to find a head coach that knows to run the ball when the team just needs a yard? Maybe in these stupid interviews, they should ask what play they would run in those situations because honestly, sometimes just having someone with football common sense is the best option.

I don’t know when I’ll see a decent head coach for the Bears. I’m praying it’s soon. At this rate, the idiot with the visor and the “BE YOU” slogan on a play-calling sheet isn’t going anywhere at least for another season. I don’t have it in me to root for this team to lose a lot. I knew the second he was hired that this was going to be a shit show. That’s been proven to be true.

With that, sound off in the comments. What should they do first with the Draft? Who stays and who goes? Any other ideas/questions are welcome as well.

I tell you what: Packers 21 Bears 3 (third quarter)

December 15, 2019 by

Well, the Bears had a chance in the first half. But Matt Nagy took his stupid pills and went right back to calling stupid plays that don’t work.

Then, this “great” defense by the Bears gave up two touchdown drives to start the second half. The Packers have been playing Madden on the Bears’ defense all game.

What a fucking shitshow.

Why can’t this just be easy for once?: Bears 31 Cowboys 24

December 5, 2019 by

If anybody makes the argument of “garbage time points,” you’re ridiculous. I know the Bears weren’t expected to win this game. But the fact that they had leads of 24-7 and 31-14 and still couldn’t shut the door is fucking atrocious. I won’t blame the defense on the touchdown drive after Montgomery fumbled it. But I will blame them for that last ten points that were scored because they let their foot off of the gas. The only thing that kept them from losing this game was that games are only 60 minutes long.

I’m sick and tired of this fucking defense always falling apart when it matters the most. The Cowboys were an onside kick recovery away from throwing a Hail Mary for either the tie or the win. And trust me, they were going to get that touchdown because of how shitty the defense was.

I wanted this recap to be all about how Trubisky was great tonight (except for that first drive). He made some great plays when they mattered the most. But instead, the defense decided to shit all over themselves allowing 17 points in the fourth quarter. It doesn’t matter who the coordinator is. Fangio was a fucking idiot and Pagano isn’t any better. They have yet to put together four full quarters this year.

Had the Bears blown this game completely, Nagy should have been fired walking to the locker room. Instead, he buys himself more time like the fraud that he is. Fuck.

It must be a Chicago thing. The Blackhawks had a 3-0 lead against the Bruins tonight only to give up three goals in the third period before Toews saved the day with a goal in overtime. Needless to say, my blood is boiling at the moment.

The Bears only have a five percent chance to make the playoffs. The fact they still have that much of a chance is incredible. The Packers are up a week from Sunday. The Vikings need to lose to the Lions and the Rams need to lose against the Seahawks. If those things happen, then I bet the Bears will find a way to fuck themselves again because that’s what they do.

Alright, I’m done now. Fire away, folks.

That “vaunted” Bears defense is just amazing. Lions up 14-7 and looking for more!

November 28, 2019 by

Two drives and two touchdowns. The defense was shredded up. And now, the Lions just recovered the onside kick. Consider this the recap.

Worthless fucks.

Battle of the bad: Bears 19 Giants 14

November 24, 2019 by

Who thought the Bears were going to blow this game? I’ve already lost count.

Trust me, I was waiting for the Giants to score the winning touchdown. Shockingly, a blind squirrel found a nut and the Bears won.

This game should be further proof that the entire management and coaches need to be replaced. Missed field goals, penalties and shitty play-calling once again were shown. It’s just time for a change. This isn’t working. The Bears left a lot of points on the board and had they played a team more competent than them, they lose this game easily.

Just like the other wins this year, it still felt like a loss. That’s when you know you’re watching a bad team.

This nightmare season continues with the Lions on Thanksgiving.

Be You (A fucking idiot): Rams 17 Bears 7

November 17, 2019 by

I am not going to dive into this game too much. This is more of the bow wrapped around the season that’s already over. From blown leads to missed field goals all the way down to shitty play-calling, it was all there. It was deja vu from last year.

It’s frustrating. Even if the Bears had won this game, they would have still been two games out of the last playoff spot in the NFC because of the miraculous comeback by the Vikings today. No, the Bears aren’t going to win the rest of their games while the Vikings lose the rest of theirs. There is a better chance of me banging a supermodel. Reality was assured here tonight.

Matt Nagy needs to go. Ryan Pace needs to go with him. Ted Phillips should put both of them in his car and drive far away. Those three idiots have no business being in a professional football organization.

I am not going to completely blame Trubisky or the awful kicker, Piniero. I will say that Nagy has put those guys as well as the rest of the team in positions to fail. Sure, the defense sucks ass when it matters. Sure, Nagy isn’t the one out there sucking ass. But he’s the one that’s calling the pass plays on 3rd and 1 and thus, killing whatever chance the offense had at scoring.

I’m fucking tired of this. Obviously, I knew this was going to happen the second Nagy was hired. But now the proof is there. I’m exhausted. I think all of you feel the same way. George McCaskey isn’t selling this PATHETIC franchise. He’s going to have to find somebody that can bring in an actual general manager. One who can actual scout talent. One who doesn’t trade away draft picks just to move up one spot to get somebody that nobody else wanted. One who will actually draft the best quarterback available. I know it’s not that simple. But this is on the chairman of this team. If he thinks it’s too damn hard, then sell the team to somebody who is capable of taking on the challenge.

Feel free to chime in with your thoughts.

Hanging On For Dear Life: Laughingstocks 20 Lions 13

November 10, 2019 by

If you say you thought the Bears were going to win this game, you’re a liar. None of us here thought they were going to.

But the Bears did everything they could to lose this game and exactly like some of us predicted: Blowing a two-touchdown lead.

It was 3rd and 1 and the idiot himself called a passing play that ended up not being converted for a first down. The next drive for the Lions, they scored a touchdown on just four plays. It was ridiculous.

The drive to finish the game, it appeared that the Lions were going to drive 90 yards for the touchdown (and impending two-point conversion to win). Thankfully, some luck and the time running out saved it all.

A backup quarterback nearly took it to the “vaunted” defense of the Bears. This defense is overrated. Better teams would have put up 30 easily.

And next week, the Bears will play a much better team in the Rams. It’s on Sunday Night Football, so the entire football world will be watching this sad, sorry bunch of clowns get eaten alive by Jared Goff.

It’s now time for everyone’s favorite game show: HOW WILL THE BEARS LOSE THIS SUNDAY?

November 8, 2019 by

Welcome again. I am your host, Fro Dog. Welcome to a game we play about once a year here at Fire Ryan Pace-Fire Matt Nagy. Welcome to HOW WILL THE BEARS LOSE THIS SUNDAY?

Okay, as well know, Matt Nagy puts his players in positions to fail 99% of the time. Whether it’s making Trubisky throw on first and goal only to have it being intercepted in triple-coverage or not running the ball with plenty of time left to try to get a shorter field goal, it’s all possible! Many possibilities and many possible answers!

Well, folks, it’s time to play. So, contestants, let’s see what our options are!

This Sunday, Bears vs. Lions on the lakefront at noon. How will our Bears lose this game? Here are your options:

  • Matthew Stafford sets up his I-Pass and shreds the Bears defense for a blowout?
  • Trubisky has a terrible game with interceptions, many incompletions and overthrows?
  • Matt Nagy decides to just kneel with plenty of time left instead of trying to get closer into field goal range at the end of the game resulting in a missed kick?
  • The secondary fucks up by allowing a huge play in a close game to lose?
  • Or, a choice many fans have made, the Bears blow another two-touchdown lead?

Many other options are there. Feel free to add your own predictions in the thread. The person making a prediction as close as can be to the outcome wins absolutely no prize other than having their comment featured on this website during the recap! I call that a great deal!

Good luck to all of you! And remember, every new day is one day closer to Matt Nagy finally being fired!
