….does ANYBODY give a crap?
Spring Training games begin in less than two weeks!!!!! (baaaaaaaahhh)
February 13, 2014Tom Thibodeau sure proves that he’s a basketball moron.
February 12, 2014Inside the box score (cue Yeti and his minions):
Well, first off, the Bulls had a 25-point lead against the almighty Atlanta Hawks only to see it get down to six in the fourth quarter. Keep in mind, the Bulls had a similar lead on Sunday against the Super Lakers with the same results. The Bulls love blowing those big leads like hookers blowing returning customers. BUT IT’S THE NBA! Hey, the NBA has ties with hookers so I guess it’s fitting.
Moving on.
Alright, let’s check out a stat or two, shall we? Taj Gibson played 46 minutes. Joakim Noah played logged 41. Meanwhile, Erik Murphy played zero seconds, Tony Snell played a grand total of 13 minutes and Nazr Mohammed hardly played at all. By the way, 6/13 on free throws. Just wait until they play an actual decent team and not the Lakers or Hawks.
I tell you what guys. Tom Thibodeou is an elite coach. I tell you, he’s really elite when it comes to injuring his own players and not giving a shit about them not making free throws. No doubt about it. He will not change. He will continue to do the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. Can someone please page Albert? It’s been a while since he’s made an appearance on my poopy website.
Give this guy an extension now. Not later today. Not tomorrow. NOW!!!
Sting, Punk, Network and state of WWE.
February 11, 2014It’s quite surprising that I have not written anything WRASSLIN’-related in almost a year. The thing is, when the state of wrestling is this bad, it’s difficult to have the motivation to write about it. With Wrestlemania coming up, there are a few things to talk about. Some of the stuff is exciting and some, not so exciting.
TNA in Dekalb
February 10, 2014TNA decided to come to Dekalb this past Saturday night and I will say, it’s much different than WWE in many ways. TNA tends to interact with fans more by giving away backstage passes and the experience is much less grueling than WWE. The show lasted just over two hours (half the time of WWE) and prices, obviously, are much cheaper.
The thing is, the product of TNA is still, horrible. While the wrestling is pretty decent, the acting in promos and backstage events are terrible. Sometimes, wrestlers can’t be taught how to act. It’s something that happens naturally.
In Dekalb, about 500 fans showed up in a place where the capacity is around 6,000. That is bad. TNA draws well overseas but when it comes to the United States, they can’t sell out a 2,500 seat arena. The closest it ever reached were the events in Hoffman Estates in 2008 and last year, in which, I attended both times. The Sears Centre might seat around 6,000 fans as well and both times, the crowd was about half full. Wrestling events always draw well in the Chicagoland area. If this was, say, Iowa, TNA gets 100 fans maximum for this past Saturday’s event.
With all of the budget cuts going on, TNA has shown everyone that they are struggling. They put nearly their entire budget into guys like Angle, Nash, Hogan, Bischoff and Sting over the last four years. You figured, Bischoff may help a little bit but when he came in, he was merely a shell of himself. He had a great run in the mid-90’s with WCW and that was his peak as far as being a promoter. Dixie Carter still rolled the dice and paid for it heavily.
TNA in Dekalb and everywhere else is a loss for them. It’s costing them more money to travel and pay wrestlers because they aren’t drawing enough fans to turn a profit. Merchandise sales help any company but with all of the traveling, TNA still has to pay the place they are holding their event in and giving a share of their sales to them. I saw some good matches on Saturday with Samoa Joe against Magnus and the Wolves against the Bromans (yes, TNA is that bad to have a tag team called that).
The only thing keeping TNA alive right now are their TV deals in the United States and Europe. If those deals aren’t around, TNA isn’t worth the change in my pocket. Some people might have thought five or six years ago, that TNA might have a chance to compete. All of these years later, it’s much worse than it was back then. Wrestlers like A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe have been the only bright spots all of these years and even now, Styles may not be back.
Stick a fork in TNA.
Oh, look. ThomASS is pissing off his players.
February 5, 2014
First off, I want to congratulate Jimmy Butler on playing nearly 44 minutes in last night’s game against the Suns. ThomASS really loves driving his players into the ground with high minutes. And for what? The 5th seed in the East and one game above .500? No thank you.
Alright, now to my point of this article. The other day, Carlos Boozer tells reporters that he would like to play more, especially late in games instead of sitting on the bench. Now, I have given Boozer a lot of undeserved crap over the years with his tendency to yell at himself on the court and look like a clown in the process. I will say this, he has been the most consistent player on the Bulls since his arrival. I believe he has played in the most games and has always given a consistent effort. That being said, he does suck on defense and that’s why he isn’t playing late in games.
After his comments, Thibodeau decided to tell the media that basically, Carlos needs to shut up and just take it. He then went on to say that players like Taj Gibson never complain about playing time. “That’s what I love about Taj” was his exact quote after making the comment about how he never complains.
I am going to defend Carlos Boozer here. You can’t blame the guy for saying he wants to be in the game playing. Everyone else sitting on the bench wishes they could be out there playing. Most wouldn’t say anything because they are professionals. But I applaud Boozer for this. It’s about time someone steps up. ThomASS, since his arrival, has enjoyed not playing many people and the ones that are in the game (i.e. Jimmy Butler), are playing nearly the entire game. Players like Erik Murphy and Tony Snell wish they could play more 30 seconds a game. With Carlos, I don’t think his comments warranted a controversy nor criticism. It was a professional speaking out and saying he wants to play more. No one deserves that. He may not be a Bull next season but I give him an incredible amount of respect for speaking up. He knows that his head coach is PATHETIC and will continue to be that way.
Good riddance.
February 1, 2014
Our long, awaited nightmare is over. David Stern has finally stepped down as commissioner of the NBA. From fixing games, to fixing drafts, to signing horrible TV deals and to making “dress code policies” for players, David Stern did everything in his power to make the NBA what it is today: a joke.
I don’t know how Adam Silver is going to do as the new boss, but he can’t be any worse than this buffoon, can he?
Here’s to you David:

January 24, 2014Will ThomASS ever be fired and replaced by someone who is actually a coach?
January 21, 2014Some stats (cue Yeti) from last night’s game between the Bulls and (Super) Lakers:
Bulls free throws: 17/24 – Including a missed free throw by Bozo at the end of the fourth quarter. Game promptly goes into overtime with a Nick Young jumper afterwards.
Cartier Martin – DNP (Coach‘s decision is a dumbass)
Don’t worry guys, I am getting to my main point. Stick with me.
Erik Murphy – DNP (Coach‘s decision is a dumbass)
Kirk Hinrich – 19 minutes of playing time
Alright, last but not least:
Jimmy Butler – 49 minutes
Are you fucking kidding me? This game goes into overtime, which results in a 53-minute game. And according to the stats (where is our dear Yeti?), Butler played 49 minutes and 41 seconds which left him with 3 minutes and 19 seconds of rest. The Lakers are a terrible team. Thanks to horrible free throw shooting (again), the Bulls found themselves in another overtime game. Yet, this “great” coach continues to run his players into the ground by playing ridiculous minutes. Jimmy Butler, I believe, had turf toe early in the season. That stuff, like most toe/foot injuries, only heal by rest. I am sure someone already told ThomASS that, but he’s too busy worrying about winning a regular season game rather than pacing his players for the playoffs.
If the Bulls don’t want what happened to Derrick Rose to happen to Jimmy Butler, they will do the right thing and fire this PATHETIC excuse for a head coach. Let him go be some other team’s problem. There was an idiot on The Score last week who said if Butler didn’t want to play 60 minutes in that last overtime game, then he should have said something. Little did the idiot know that players aren’t going to bitch to the public or even to the team about minutes played. They do what they are told because it’s their jobs. It’s no different from our jobs.
Because the NBA is a joke in general, thanks in part to the dildo himself, David Stern, the Bulls can be mediocre and still grab the #3 seed in the East. Last thing I’ll mention is this: I am not saying Erik Murphy and Cartier Martin are the second comings of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, but for the love of God, what is the point of having them on the team if they are not playing? Murphy is a rookie and really, with any player, they don’t get better sitting on the bench. Put those two guys in a game with significant minutes and see what they’re capable of.

January 16, 2014I was reading some Bears websites to get opinions from other fans on what the Bears should do in the draft and free agency. While doing that, I found this gem. Enjoy.
